  1. I second everything Linda said and add - there is a second Haven bar just outside the pool area (it's also right next to - actually through - the dining room, but for some reason we always went the long way to get there ). The bartender there (at least in December) was Carol and she is SPECTACULAR! If you are going soon and she is still there, you will love her. [Tell her Jen & Rich said hi :beer-mug::tropical-drink::D]

  2. We were on it a month ago and it is slow, but it works. You may be able to Facetime, but I'm not sure. Interestingly, we could only connect from inside our cabin; the minute we walked out on the balcony, we lost the connection. Most of the ports have free wi-fi - that is probably your best bet.

  3. Ship - Norwegian Epic

    Deck - 12

    Stateroom # - 12317

    Stateroom Category – H6

Starboard or Port Side - Aft

Quiet Stateroom? (With comments on problems) – Fairly quiet. No noise from above. The only appreciable noise was the sound of the wake, but we loved it.

Was stateroom a connecting stateroom? Yes.

Balcony View - Gorgeous views off the aft of the ship. Great to watch the wake.

Balcony Size? The balcony was huge. It had two loungers, two chairs and a table.

Was wind a problem? Not that we noticed.

If an aft cabin, was soot a problem? Not at all.

Any specific problems with this cabin? The only issue I had personally is it was a bit of a challenge getting the shower/tub. I have short legs and it sits up a bit from the ground. There are handles so i was ok, but I don't think someone with any mobility issues would be able to negotiate it very well. My husband didn't care for the fact that the light in the toilet stall was on a motion detection system so any time there was any movement it would come on, but it didn't bother me.

Any other comments? Loved this room. Bed was huge and comfy. Room was big. Shower and tub in the same enclosure. Toilet in a different enclosure. Nespresso coffee maker - heaven! Table and two chairs in room as well. Bathroom had a scale (boo), q-tips and cotton balls, hair dryer, magnifying lighted mirror, shower poof and Bvlgari shampoo, body wash and lotion. Two robes in closet. TONS of storage. Cool little pull out things on either side of the bed (no side tables due to the layout). There was a dvd player under the counter. The light over the bed resembles a giant toilet seat (not a complaint, just an observation ;)).

  4. Has NCL increased fees -Yes

    Are already booked cruises grandfathered-Yes

Can you see what total cruise cost is when booking-Yes

    Are they hidden-NO

Do a mock booking click on details on cruise pricing and what you pay is right there. There is nothing "Hidden".

Have 2 cruises booked 1 NCL ( Bliss) and 1 Carnival Vista ( it goes where I want to go at the time I want to go).

I know what I'm getting and what I'm paying on each cruise. NOTHING Hidden.

    What he said ;p

  5. Just wondering if anyone travelling on Norweigan Epic Dec 9-16 has been actually upgraded yet? I put in an offer from MidShip Balcony to Aft Haven. No word yet... Good Luck Everyone!

We did. Aft balcony to Haven balcony. Just got our Haven luggage tags! 😎

I hope you are ok with your midship balcony because it looks like all The Haven suites are sold out for that cruise.

  6. On the Jade Transatlantic this September were two elderly "gentlemen" who paraded around the ship

dressed in "Baby Doll" outfits. New outfit every night. Turned a few heads especially when they

joined in the Men versus Women quiz in the Spinnaker helping out the woman team much to

    the consternation of the host.

    Now that is funny!

  7. 12/09/17: Sail Date

    09/20/17: Received Upgrade Bid Email

    09/20/17: Bid – Poor Range

09/22/17: Updated Bid – Poor Range

10/04/17: Updated Bid – Fair Range

    10/10/17: Bid Accepted

B1 (Aft Balcony) upgraded to H6 (Haven Aft Balcony)

I’d rather not disclose my actual bid, but it ended up being about $1,200 cheaper than booking it outright. I only bid on the H6 because we already had an aft balcony and I didn’t want to lose the aft position. I probably bid too much, but I really wanted to get the upgrade as my husband and I have had a rough year with family issues and I wanted to surprise him. He’ll be surprised 😊
