Volendam still south of Grand Island. Our view blocker - due 30 minutes after Volendam - is already docked like it has been the last few weeks. I wonder what they changed about their itinerary?

No, NA should be here next week - and that should be the last Thursday early morning. NA leaves after that visit.

With no ship at anchor she should have room to swingaround to stern-facing docking..

Since there will be no zoom and she is by the pier - that's it for me. Noordam is on her last visit tomorrow then a Vanc to Vanc 14 Night Great Alaskan Explorer [skipping Juneau] Sep 17-Oct 1. She then leaves the area by way of San Diego to Australia. Tomorrow due at 7 or 8 am AST / 11 am Noon EDT but usually arrives closer to 6 am. Thanks to my fellow addicts and an extra to Leanne for the thread.

She made up about half that distance while we were panned away.

I see some raindrops.

She completed most of it while we were away.

I noticed them arriving just before NA showed. 😞

It is chilly and overcast, but it is not raining. We are having to put up with panning. No view blockers - but the Viking ship will restrict Nieuw Amsterdam's swingaround..
