  1. MDR Lunch today was one of the best I’ve had. The meat tortellini and the Parmesan chicken were fantastic.
  2. Fantastic turnout for our Cruise Critic Meet & Greet this morning. There were over 90 that signed up on our roll call, and I think over two-thirds attended, which was quite impressive. We also had a great contingent of officers and senior staff come to visit and take questions.
  3. The entertainer tonight was Brianna Faulk. Great voice, but the show was a Tina Turner tribute show, and I’m not the biggest Tina Turner fan. IMG_0866.mov
  4. MDR Dinner tonight was great. I got my Parmesan Basket! Unprompted, our waiter also brought an order of the BBQ ribs for the table, and I’m glad he did, because they were really good. Sorry, I forgot to take pics of the menu.
  5. If you book it for the full cruise, it’s $30/day. @MattnTricia They had out little numbered slips and take reservations in order, so get there as quickly as possible.
  6. Slept in a bit this morning, after a late night at Crooners listening to Kory Simon, who we’ve seen on previous sailings. Great entertainer! Went up to Lido for breakfast at 10:30, and I was amazed at how busy it was. Clocks went forward last light, so I guess a lot of people slept in. Had a wonderful breakfast of eggs, bacon, back bacon, corned beef hash, hashbrowns, and a croissant. The weather was overcast earlier, but the sun is coming out. It’s pretty windy with 35kt gusts and there’s a three meter swell, so we’re rocking a bit, but it’s minor.
  7. So the comedian wasn’t bad, but the audience members he pulled up were actually funnier than he was. I’m looking at you, @blakegestalt48
  8. After a wonderful afternoon which included getting to know the bartenders better at Crooners, we headed to MDR dinner. The only thing not up to snuff was the Pina Colada soup; it was more room temperature poured into a chilled bowl. I liked it better when it was served in a glass. I had the pork, and it was excellent, but missed the pic.
  9. Tomorrow’s Patter. Yes, I’m going to keep calling it the Patter.
  10. Nothing noteworthy about sailaway. Friends of ours are on the Sky, and left just ahead of us.
  11. MDR Lunch was excellent. Da Vinci was NOT open for lunch; so we went to Botticellis.
  12. And, as always, our first real stop is Crooners for welcome aboard martinis.
