  1. Caribe balconies are our favourite on this class of ship. The Celebrity Apex is beside us.
  2. Boarding was fairly smooth, and I hustled up to the sanctuary to make reservations. Was number three, so no problem. It’s nice that they give out numbers and people can sit down, rather than having a long line.
  3. Hello again everyone, and welcome to another of my Live Froms. This year it’s a true 14 day circle Caribbean, with ports of St. Kitts, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados, Grenada, Trinidad, St. Lucia, and Aruba. I’ll be looking forward to the sea days at the end to relax! The port was a zoo this morning. The security checkpoint was only five minutes, but then it too 20 minutes in traffic to get to Terminal 21. Security inside wasn’t bad, and there was zero wait in the green lane. The blue lane, however, had quite a queue. In the elite lounge now waiting to board, at 10:30.
  4. Hello Mods. I was looking through my older Live From posts, and noticed that many of the photos have disappeared. Is this normal? Does CC delete photos after a certain length of time? Thanks, Steve.
  5. Yeah, we always do the cruise before the Christmas one. We were also on the Regal Dec 10-18 and there were 1900.
  6. I heard it was a zoo with over 4000 passengers. This one had only 1714, and was fantastic.
  7. Service was impeccable. Probably being at half capacity was a factor. Never felt crowded. As far as entertainment, best to look at the Patters I posted and see the options.
  8. Well, that about does it for the Regal 4-day 80s cruise. Sitting here in Horizon Court enjoying a final breakfast before they call the stragglers to hurry up and get off the ship. I hope you enjoyed cruising along with me. Until next time!
  9. A late night at Crooners. All three bands came up and had drinks and mingled. A great night was had by all. That 8am cabin-vacating is going to be tough!
  10. Another night of incredible rocking in the Princess Theatre. I figured Wanted would have a hard time living up to Double Vision’s performance last night, but they didn’t disappoint. The entertainment on this four-day cruise has far outshone any other cruise I’ve been on. I hope Princess continues with this theme and books these bands again. All everybody could talk about was how great these acts were. The frontpeople for The Pat Benatar Experience and Double Vision were in the audience and were pulled onstage for a song. Even Allie our CD got in on the action. IMG_6513.MOV IMG_6512.MOV IMG_6514.MOV IMG_6496.MOV IMG_6515.MOV
  11. Well, I think it’s slower than BC (before covid). The videos take quite a while to upload. I’m sure the Crown in 2019 was faster.
  12. There’s some blue sky, so I found a sheltered spot out of the wind on 17 to sit in the sun with my jacket on. Still beats the snow back home! On a sad note, I checked in for my flight tomorrow 😢
  13. Went to another Knights of Rock Enrichment talk today. Leo Rossi is an engaging speaker with fascinating stories from being the tour manager for some of the biggest acts. He mostly does west-coast cruises, so if he’s on your voyage, make it a point to attend one of his talks.
  14. Not a great day today for outdoor activities. 63°F, gale force winds and a 13 foot swell. Deck 17 is roped off, and the covers are on the loungers at the Sanctuary. No problem cancelling my afternoon reservation. I also had to throw all the unused hangers on the floor in the middle of the night. IMG_6467.MOV
  15. Tonight was the headliner. Double Vision: The Foreigner Experience. IT. WAS. PHENOMENAL. I have never seen the Princess Theater rocking like that. Everyone on their feet singing and dancing. I came away hoarse and with sore palms. Easily one of, if not the best shows I have seen. Everyone was raving afterwards. Definitely the highlight of the cruise. 16. Having no idea what to expect, I took in one of the “Knights of Rock” enrichment sessions in the theatre. Turns out it was a talk given by the tour manager of The Beach Boys 50th Anniversary Tour. The first-hand anecdotes and behind the scenes moments he shared via voice, photos, and video shot with his iPhone was heartfelt, uplifting, and truly amazing. It was an hour well spent.
  17. I lasted about 45 minutes on Princess Cays. At Outriggers now enjoying a margarita looking over the stern of the ship.
  18. The rain stopped, skies cleared, and it turned into a glorious afternoon. Went over to Princess Cays to go for a walk. I’m not a beach person, so not much to do for me. I also ventured across the bridge to the south side, and I was the ONLY one there.
  19. Alfredo’s was busy, as expected. Only about a ten minute wait to get a table though. The pizza and veal pasta were delicious.
  20. Still gloomy and raining, so it’s looking like Alfredo’s for lunch instead of the beach BBQ.
