  1. We end up with a Carnival Bar Tab around $300. I usually get the DOU card from the Casino, so I can get 5-6 drinks for "free" while gambling in the Casino. We bring our 2 bottles of wine, and usually spend $30 on drinks in Port. Our next cruise has 5 port days, so our total expenditure will be about $450 for the entire cruise. We try to take advantage of the Half Price Wine on Departure Night in the Steakhouse as well 1/2 Price Drinks on Ships that have a Red Frog Pub on Departure day, normally from 1-3pm.
  2. If you're a total newbie to travel, then book through Carnival so you learn the process of where and how to meet your tour, how to navigate around the port and make sure you understand "ships time" vs local time. If you book your own, make sure you book a "low risk" tour that has plenty of time after the tour to get back to the ship. The advantage of a Carnival booked tour is they will wait for you if the tour is late.
  3. @JEA1979 Excellent! We ordered a bottle of rum from the Fun Shop so we may host a happy hour! Safe travels!
  4. American Airlines has some "Black Friday Deals" through their Frequent Flier program (free to join). I did a mock booking for Balcony and got a "Dealers Choice" rate - $50 per person cheaper than American Airlines rate.
  5. Get the Cruise the Vineyards Package! Safe and Happy Cruising!!
  6. It has happened before... <link> “Generally, if there are ships held up due to fog it’s because the ship pilots refuse to board the vessel because of safety concerns,” Lehmann said. “This is one of those rare times where the Coast Guard extended its authority to restrict port activity.’’
  7. @rtfnl I'm sure we'll see ya at the Red Frog or the Casino!

  9. Called the Funshops and they provided me with the pricing of their 2 packages: Basic - $131 Premium - $193 I forgot to ask if that included gratuity and such or was it discounted at 25% as it sometimes is on the ship. Regardless... 5 Bottles x 4 Glasses per Bottle = 20 Glasses of Wine Basic works out to $6.55 per Glass / 26.20 per Bottle Premium works out to $9.65 per Glass / $38.60 per Bottle Basic Sparkling, Barefoot, Brut, California Pinot Grigio, Zonin, Italy Sauvignon Blanc, Santa Helena, Chile Chardonnay, Santa Helena, Chile Riesling, Funf 5, Germany White Zinfandel, Barefoot, California Rose ‘GIFFT’ by Kathy Lee Gifford, California Merlot, Santa Helena, Chile Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Helena, Chile Premium Sparkling, Domaine Chandon, ‘Brut’, California Sparkling Rose, Domaine Ste.
