  2. I have never cruised Carnival without FTTF. We love the luxury of having it. Having the priority phone line to guest services has been beneficial as each time we have cruised there has been an issue with the cabin. Plumbing more than once, issues with our safe, problems with charges on our card for examples. Love priority to guest services. I've walked right passed long lines at guest services and yes FTTF gets a designated phone line to guest services. But I really love being about to get to our cabin early. I would not be that person who would go to my cabin knowing I haven't been given the permission to and thank goodness a lot of cruisers don't do that. If people keep encouraging this behavior, I'm sure Carnival would eventually make adjustments because complaining that I am not getting what I am paying for hardly considers me a Karen LOL. But, from my perspective, FTTF seems to be less desirable since the price increase because it would always sell out fast in the past but for my upcoming cruise it was available for weeks and has returned several times. For $150 I can't blame anyone, but I am going to stick to tradition until I'm platinum.

  4. Yeah, they keep trying to get our party to take an "upgrade" balcony cabin from our door-to-door cove balconies. The "upgrades" aren't even next to each other and our sailing is already slim pickings for staterooms at this point. So they want us to give up our door-to-door cove balcony cabins splitting up our party, for the few left over options on higher floors, for $66 per cabin. That's crazy! I am glad I know better and feel sorry for those that don't because they make you feel like they are offering you something better.

  7. Hi neighbor! I live in Indy too! I have never seen a check in time as early as 9am! That's awesome! Have you ever had a 9am check in time? If so, how early did you get to board?
  8. A lot of people are saying April and May. Does anyone think the ocean is choppier around that time compared to other times?
  9. The thing we loved about it before the restart was that we’d get priority access to our staterooms. However, that was not a guarantee that our cabin would be ready. And half the time we’d show up and they’d be in the process of cleaning it. So, I’m thinking they have changed the wording on that to say that you can drop off your bags to your room. Which clearly doesn’t mean that the cabin will be ready. That change worries me a little bit but we will be buying it again to find out 😆.
  10. Congratulations! That’s a great deal! I have to say, for me, having only ever sailed in a cove balcony, I’ve gotten the “upgrade” fairy every single time and I have not taken the offer once because if I would have wanted a regular balcony I would have booked a regular balcony 😂. That’s not an upgrade for me. I love the cove. But that’s all I’m ever offered and my guess is because the cove balconies start selling out.
  11. I have been eyeing Holiday Inn Port of Miami for out next pre-cruise hotel since it has a great location and has been recommended for it’s location. I have booked a suite with a bay view and when I called to confirm I was told it does not indicate it’s a bay view but they can request a bay view for me. Then when I called back to confirm again since a request is not a guarantee I’m now told that none of the suites are bay view. What?! That’s not what their website says as I booked directly through IHG. So this has me concerned about whether I should book this hotel. So, I went to google reviews and most of the recent reviews are not good reviews. Now I am worried. Can anyone with preferably recent, or any, experience with staying here offer me your opinion on your stay?
