Time to get the bar refilled.

Downtown ships getting closer. Closer still. But that's as close as I would get. I was out of water and had quite a hike to get back. I think if I had brought more water in anticipation of how hot it was, I probably could have made the entire journey, but I am not sure as I did still end up with over 21k steps today. It looked close but probably not really, those ships are huge so even though they looked close, they were probably still a good ways away. Back home I went!

Ships are getting smaller. Zoomed in. Nature spotting. They really camouflaged well into the concrete.

Continuing to explore off the beaten path. I've reached a dead end as there is a beach club up ahead, so I will make my way back to the highway. I don't even know what's going on here, I must have thought it was pretty.

Made it out of the port complex, heading down the street now. I was not prepared for how hot it was once I got away from the water. The wind was quite cold, but in the sunshine it was still summertime. Much less crowded photo op than the one inside the port complex. Voyager. I found a little secluded area just off the main road so I had to go down and check it out

Here we go, not a ship, a hippie van with inspirational message. And we are back to ships. Sad we are losing Mariner to Voyager in Port Canaveral. Mariner is vastly superior, enjoy her Texas cruisers. Five ships in one! (you may have to look closely but Spirit is sticking out behind Paradise there) Looking down the other direction towards the other ships in port, Breakaway and a Virgin ship.

Got a little down time before happy hour starts so I'm gonna get my pictures from Cozumel posted. Most of the pictures are of the ships, as that was about the only thing of interest along my path. I hugged the coast line in my attempt to walk to the downtown pier. Stepping off the ship and into the cruise ship alley. Nice aft! I still don't have a whole picture, but at least I have a better picture of the ship in case I need it in the future. Now I can see Valor which I could not see from the ship. Also Paradise, poor gal I will sail her one day but that day will be after they announce she is retiring, Fantasy class don't really appeal to me. I told you it was going to be mostly ship pictures right 🙂

The app will do better at populating as it gets closer to sailing time. Your best bet would be to set the app to the most current 8 day cruise. Those look like one of them would put you in a coma. The reviews on them don't seem very good, if I were to pay that ridiculous amount I would at least want it to be good quality ingredients not just a sugar bomb 😄 I have not seen crepes anywhere. I recall finding them before at the buffet for dinner but they were not made fresh to order instead they were in a warming tray behind the counter and you added the toppings from the selections at the buffet. It wasn't very good.

Love the chocolate mousse. I could eat like 10 of those but know I would end up in a diabetic coma. Very rich chocolate mousse with some crunchy coco nibs and sliced of strawberry on the bottom. It is so decadent and delicious. Great lunch today, I just would not get the turnover again.

The panini is another favorite and it was as good as ever today. I missed my favorite some sort of croissant woth egg and cheese. I hope I just didn't have enough sea days and not that it's no longer on the menu. But the turkey is also a very nice sandwich. The fries were a little better today but still won't be wowing anyone. I enjoyed the Cole slaw that came with it as well. The turnover was something I want to like. I had it once before and it was terrible. It was better today but I don't think I will try again. The turnover gets soggy from the egg and is just not a pleasant texture. It was also too salty. It had a nice heat that snuck in on you. But the bites without the spice were too salty. Chocolate mousse

Very good. The meat was hot, juicy and pull apart tender. It had great seasoning and needed no sauce but I tried it anyway and the sauce was also quite tasty. Love this dish. Turkey and pesto panini amd Tunisian crisp fried turnover.

Chicken and beef skewers all the way from Bali.

Dining room closing soon so grabbing some lunch. Not really hungry yet but I will push on.

Off to the gym to see if I can hobble along long enough to get my steps in.

Couldn't get the scale to work today. The vibrations were giving me an error. Steps still strong, although down in January compares to December.

I didn't even think of that at the time. Hopefully I won't need that information later but I'll tuck it away for the inevitable next time I bang myself up.

Coffee time. No line on this sea day, and plenty of crew working to handle the crowds when it does show up.

I have been very tempted. But I have behaved myself. They get moved around the door but so far have remained upright just in different corners. I saw them coming out of their room once and when I think stereotype of upsidedown pineapple people I think old married couple. This was a young couple. Like college age young so I suspect they are just fans of pineapple magnets and have no idea the potential double meaning. On a related note, I'm wearing my new 🍍 shirt today so your question is very timely.

I'm not good with faces but doing these journeys cruises on Carnival I run into people all the time who claim to have been on another journey cruise with me. I tend to remember the ones who say they will be on a future cruise same time as me but not that I've sailed with previously.

That's possible. Also, it was closed off but there were no crew stationed at the entrance to enforce it. They checked cards if you ordered a drink to make sure they were not giving out drinks but I doubt a server is going to be expected to ask you to leave just that they will you or your drink package.

I asked a crew member last night on deck if they had seen my lost sock and pointed to my mismatched ankle. He looked at me like I was crazy. Or drunk. I think I'll just seek punitive damages at this point.

I witnesses people who only knew each other from Cunard running into each other again. It occurred to me that with so few ships the high tier guests must run into each other all the time.

I'll be ok but a bandaid would have been nice for the thumb. I thought I'd stopped the bleeding but my white bed sheets disagreed the next morning 😱 It is amazing! I don't know how it took me 32 years before I even knew it was a thing. I've still never seen it anywhere but Celebrity.

You may be onto something. In addition, the CD encouraged us that "The pool is open". Had I done my deck dancing on the deck instead of inside the pool, I would have had my shoes and socks on preventing injuries. I also would not have lost a sock. Where was security during all this. Did the wind grab my sock, or is there a sock thief onboard? So many unanswered questions.

Breakfast. No spinach today but yummy fried bread.
