  1. Thank you! I don’t believe that she has visited the lounge on her previous cruises with RC.
  2. Hi All, asking for my Mother, who usually sails Celebrity, is it just a regular coffee machine or does it do cappuccino? Thanks!
  3. I am packing 3 paperbacks and my iPad with many new books loaded. I have trouble reading on my iPad on the outside decks, sometimes. So, I bring the paperbacks for my outside reading! Don’t want to run out of reading material! In general, I haven’t had much luck with liking the choices in the libraries on Celebrity or Royal Caribbean. 🤷🏼‍♀️
  4. Maybe he was feeling guilty that he didn’t pay more attention to you or such. I wouldn’t project. That was very kind and lovely of you. I am sure he was surprised in a good way!
  5. I think that I had to wait until the room number info showed before I could add to my wallet. Have a good trip!
  6. I am allergic to eggs. They always tell me what I can’t have. And if I order something that we don’t know has eggs, the chef sends my waitperson back and I re-order.
  7. The deck if on a boat gets pretty wet, so a beach bag or such that is lined or plastic to keep clothes dry would be useful. Have fun!
  8. Usually, when a boat is involved, you just leave your things in a dry bag on the boat when you snorkel. Sometimes, I stay on board, no one seems to go in the bags. I usually only bring tip money. You could also buy a dry container to take with you, if you are concerned. I have a little necklace one that holds ids and $ and I tuck it into the top of my suit or float vest thing.
  9. The chic / formal night, people dress very nicely. We often focus our sea days on the indoor pool and happy hour on the back patio bar ~ we are super, super casual for the crossing! 😊 I worry so much about packing nice clothes and I live in a bathing suit, a swing dress over it and maybe knit pants and a sweatshirt 🤣
  10. Many people just don’t dress up any more, that’s just the way our society is going. Go to a mass market fast casual eatery and you will see. In my experience, the MDR dress is similar to the Outback or Olive Garden as far as what people wear. If someone is wearing something that you don’t appreciate, just think, “Oh, their suitcase got lost. I am glad that isn’t holding them back.”
  11. Thanks! I noted one or two for my next cruise! I appreciate it!
  12. If you download the app, menus are available in there. Room service, dining rooms, etc!
  13. I usually pack long sleeve tops and a nice sweatshirt for the Europe ports. My pictures from most of those ports at that time of year are of me in a long sleeved top. I am taking a bathing suit and cover up for as we get warmer . I take a raincoat because it can be rainy in Europe . Here’s hoping that we both have good weather for our trips! Have a great time.
  14. For the weather on the TA, it is usually pleasant. If you do walking outside, it can be super windy. I usually bring a hat and gloves but don’t often need them. But, I like to walk laps for an hour or two each day on the crossings and it can be super windy! I don’t think it is noticeable if you aren’t on the track loop. see you on the ship! We are going to have fun!
  15. I don’t think so, I have bought them in the past and my Fellow traveler never does.
  16. There are usually waitstaff type personnel that come rushing over to ask if I need anything. I usually give a drink order to them avoiding the issue for the most part. I also leave a sweatshirt or such over the chair, if I want dessert or such.
  17. I have never been solo on a transatlantic. But, my Mom and I do separate activities during the day. On sea days, I really don’t see her. She like the lectures and such. I walk the decks, take dance classes and read by the enclosed pool area. There is plenty to do or there is nothing to do. That is up to you! I will say that people are generally friendly and I have nice conversations with people that I do bump into daily. One transatlantic, we would set up times for lunch. I would always be late! I was having too much fun elsewhere, so lunchtime we do our own thing!🤣🤷🏼‍♀️
  18. Y’all, it is a saying. You took the assignment seriously. It’s a current saying that is used frequently. Sorry, if I offended.
  19. I see my info was out of date! $3 for the sodas and club sodas makes the classic non-alcohol package a good deal for me! All the best!
  20. If you do a search, you can find prices for laundry service for your line. It isn’t too terribly expensive, I just add that to my budget, if I plan on packing light. Have a great trip!
  21. Agree! Same for us and historically, when we have purchased the package that gratuity is charged. So, that part isn’t new. Happy sailing
  22. I haven’t been cruising since pre-Covid. But, when I was researching the prices for my upcoming trip, I saw $2.50 for sodas and club sodas. $5 for most latte type coffees. I don’t recall seeing water prices during my search. Best wishes! Have a great trip!
