  1. So I didn't think I would have this problem with the Warriors up 3-1 but somehow the Cavs tied it up. I hate the Warriors with a passion and have pretty much watched this entire nba playoffs as well so now I get to watch game 7 on my cruise, on a glorious sea day I might add. And I know the sportsbar will have it and maybe my room if it can keep reception as their satellites go in and out.

What I really want to know is will they show it on lido deck on the big screen? Because that would be fantastic. Does anybody have any experience cruising during nba finals and know if they show them on lido deck or am I stuck with the, sure to be crowded, sportsbar?

  2. I get the meaning but have not heard "rig-a-mo" ever before??? Where did this come from???

You have to be VERY careful with Allegiant Air. The price listed is not the whole story and with cruise luggage you may find other airlines to be more cost effective.

    Do your math carefully.

At my stage of life my comfort is worth money so that often trumps the cheapest way!

I agree with this but sometimes they are a lot cheaper than other airlines even with all the price options. I am using them on my way back home this next cruise. $240 overall for two(that includes luggage and pickmyseat costs) instead of $400+ for any other airline.

And this guy never said how old they are, I personally can run 3-5 miles in 90+ degree 80% humidity and it wouldn't bother me in the slightest, so walking a mile would be cake. But I wouldn't try to do all this stuff for a group, it sounds fairly complicated and sometimes because its a group you can split costs to make something a little more convenient

  3. I think you only select your check in time. I don't think it matters what time you pick if you have FTTF either, you get moved to a different priority line. You can't board until the ship is ready though and that could happen anywhere from 11-1 depending on how fast they clear it from the previous cruise. You will be one of the first to board though because you have FTTF.

  4. Casino rates are different depending on how much you gamble. I used mine on this upcoming cruise and it gave me 150$ off a June cruise, which is pretty nice as those usually don't get as good of deals. But I went on a cruise with my mom in April and we paid 75$ each for a 7 day cruise due to her casino deal. So yes they work for the people who get the better rates.

  5. You can leave your things unattended and nothing will happen most of the times. Me and my friend left our stuff unattended a lot on my first cruise to virgin islands and nothing ever happened to it. I would say its really safe on the excursions and the ship especially if it's just towels and flip flops, at worst someone moves it off the chair if they think you're saving it but that rarely happens too. Public beaches are trickier as there are more people there, but beach stuff should be safe for a while as you go in the water. But like any other thing in life, there is always a small chance you'll be the one to get your stuff stolen or messed with.

  6. I went snorkeling solo this past cruise and had a blast. The only bad part about it was waiting 20 mins for the thing to start by myself, but I'm a good daydreamer so that didn't bother me too much. In general doing solo excursions is fine and I'm sure you'll have a good time.

  7. I am always glad to be on a cruise ship but if my upcoming west itinerary was changed to eastern I would be bummed out. I would never blame carnival but you would still here me whining about it, it would be more whining about the stupid weather, though I would never whine about how we should go headfirst into a storm. Most people have been anticipating thier itinerary for a year, can't really blame them for being upset.

  8. What about the drinks purchased through the Bon Voyage site? I just checked out and noticed the disclaimer about having these drinks only in your cabin. How strictly is this enforced?

It isn't enforced at all. I filled my cup up with OJ in the mornings or Lemonade at night, mixed in the vodka I got from funshops and had a nice time like that. I took it everywhere but the MDR. Shows, buffet, casino, all over the place.

  9. One cruise had a last comic standing finalist and this past one had a regular on one of the tonight shows. Those aren't unknown comics, the one from the tonight show was saying he was hoping for a cruise circuit run as he hadn't done it before. I'm not sure how far out they book comedians which could be why there isn't a list.

  10. I wouldn't take any kid that couldn't walk yet and even then it would be pushing it. The baby won't remember anything about this cruise so you can tell him he's been on a cruise but he won't have any memories of it. I would personally leave him with grandparents if that's an option and have an adult vacation.

If you think you'll be happier on a cruise with your child then go for it. Many people take babies on cruises so it's nothing new and if you do take him I'm sure you'll still have a wonderful time enjoying family time.

  11. Cheers for frozen drinks is worth it. Most of them cost $9, so over $10 with auto gratuity. Cheers is 57 per day with the gratuity added. So if you drink 5 of them and add anything else you pretty much pay for it that day.

For beer its a little less worth it. Beers are 6.50ish with the gratuity. So you have to drink almost 9 of them. Easy for me to do on vacation but to each their own.

  12. It's the same as alcohol, it all depends on the bartender or in this case barista, serving you. Some let you use wife/husband's card and some are strict. Tipping could help but I'm sure it all depends on if the server has been told not to do it or even gotten yelled at for doing it before as Carnival's policy is only you are allowed to use your card for cheers.

  13. Agree with most people in this thread. Double check summary at the end of cruise and never leave tip as blank. It was more than likely an error, someone hit 5 one to many times. It could have been fraud as well but it's less likely. This stuff happens in regular restaurants back home as well, sometimes someone messes up.

  14. I hope you argued pretty hard about it. I would have called everyday until I got a senior manager to give me a refund, I got time to waste their time after all, as it was their employees fault for misleading you. I wouldn't care what it says on the website, if their employee tells you something I would think they would try to make amends.

  15. We use OFF Deep Woods for Sportsmen in small convenient 1 oz. plastic containers.

    DEET....................98.25%

    Other Ingredients ...1.75%

It can be found in the sporting goods section of stores selling hunting/fishing equipment. :)

I second this one and will be taking it when I go western caribbean in a few weeks. I use to use this one in the army during drills in Kentucky, even though I saw 20+ mosquitoes flying around me while laying in the woods they almost never actually bit me. Just make sure to wash it off asap when you get back to room.

  16. I have to add something about my last cruise. I don't bring cruise elegant clothes so I always eat in the lido deck on that night, and most of other nights for that matter. But I wore an nba jersey on elegant night as I don't really pay attention to the dress code because I don't do the MDR much. Man did I feel out of place at the shows that night sitting next to people in gowns/suits in my jersey/cargo shorts. If I wasn't feeling a nice buzz from drinking I might have felt too self-conscience and changed.

  17. You are probably at $45-55 at what you stated, depending on which drinks/wine you choose. I would go ahead and get cheers so then you can try different drinks and not worry about not liking one, just order another in 5 mins with cheers. Plus you can get the non-alcoholic stuff for free too like vitamin waters and powerades. Now if you know you won't want anything but those drinks you mentioned then the decision is really a toss up, as you will be near the breakeven point.

  18. Do most of you take out there insurance?

I would say the majority of people on this forum don't use carnival's insurance. You can find better within a few minutes of looking. Squaremouth.com is good for comparing policies.
