Have always read/heard, unless a cruisline can get you a flight a ton cheaper than doing it yourself, you are putting yourself at risk. Any issues you get a run around about who can do what. When it is only you and the airline, the airlines works directly with you!
Sorry.

Anyone? :halo:

What was the entertainment in the Cavern Club during your sailing. Sailed in 2017 and it was Siglo and the Beatles cover band. Understand Siglo is on Bliss right now. Wondering who or what we will get this November on the TA.

I just about live in Sneakers ( ie very good walking shoes for me ). I travel in them to avoid packing them. Only thing I know for sure are zipline type activities need closed toe shoes. I too have good walking Teva’s and I go back and forth depending how much walking and or support I think I will need.

If I recall correctly, there are things to do just in the town without doing an excursion. I sure hope you managed to explore and do that. I do understand your frustration, but the alternative to canceling is to be doing something unsafe.

When my sons were college age and I knew they would be leaving the house, I ordered them all a few copies each with the raised seals. That way if they got lost or misplaced they would have extras. I kept one in my files to.

Because I normally have a few cruises booked, I have a list of what is booked and the due dates. I always write down that it is due a week before the actual date, less chance of me missing it. Also with some agencies you can go ahead and give them your credit card info at booking and it will (should be) done automatically.

One more question. Am I checking hotel rate too early? Apr is good 8 months away...
No, if it is Easter book something now. If it were me, I would book a refundable rate and just check every now and again and you MIGHT land a better price, but I doubt it.
Florida - Easter - Spring Break = High rates!

I just priced it and came up with Balcony for 1603. And that was refundable. If price is an issue and for such a short cruise, I would just do an interior cabin. No time to really use or enjoy a balcony that much anyway.

For the OP - Not knowing the circumstances, the time to ask the questions of why so high should have been right when the plans were first talked about. Then you could have all made the decision together about cruiseline or ship then.
Who ever planned this reunion should have done some research before making the choice.

We are in our 60’s. Have been on 10 cruises since Dec 2015. New to cruising. But we saw so many people on that 1st cruise in wheelchairs, walkers, and with oxygen, that we decided we want to cruise and spend time with each other and seeing the world before we can’t.
We also look for deals. We are just not throwing money away. We may run out of money, we will stop then. But better to do so with lots of enjoyable memories.

Dec 2016 our first Princess, only so far, and it was partial transit on the Coral. We absolutely loved it. We have been on RCL, NCL, MSC, Celebrity, Carnival. Just a few of the notes I wrote as to why we loved it.
Loved the Buffet and the layout where there were not long lines you had to stay in. Food set up on many separate tables. Servers get your drinks. And loved all the windows and view.
Loved the entertainment.
Liked having self service laundry available.
Liked that there were actual walkways and the bars etc were in there own separate rooms. Many cruiselines you have to walk thru the bars to get to the other side and it seems very weird and a silly set up.
I also liked that the exercise and dance classes were inside and not at the pool. That might have just been our cruise director, but I liked that.
We did not get sick nor use internet. Thankfully!

When I am flying I just try all the options. Some lines work it one way, others do something different.

We live in central Florida. We have done one way rentals up and down and it can sometimes be cheaper. And even if about the same price, we don’t put wear and tear on our car and we don’t risk getting dinged etc.
But we also have parked at the port and it is very nice and easy.

We only saw it on the first day when everyone is in there while waiting for the rooms to open. No other days.
-
When was this? Because I think you do have a set number of days that you can get a refund.

At least I found you don’t see so much “skin” as in the Caribbean. You know, not so many skimpy tops, bathing suits without decent coverups, men in tanks, etc. So to me I prefer the Alaska casual over beach casual.

If you walked out at intermission, why do you want to see it again? Now I loved it! Even went back a second time, sat in the back row and thoroughly enjoyed it again. Free both times.

We are booked on a TA cruise From Barcelona on November 4. We are paid in full and wondering why why we have received any correspondence about making an offer to upgrade. We are platinum plus and have always bid on upgrades in the past.
Sent from my iPad using Forums
You are not at the 80 day mark. I am on that cruise also. I have one starting Oct 21 and received the bid offer 2 days ago I believe. Right at 80 days.

Mediterranean would be your best bet. I have a 11 night one later this year, 9 ports. So still one sea day on front and back of 9 ports.

Depending on the age of the kids, that probably won’t happen. If they are triplets, yeah. I would say you have some very specific requirements that might just require a little more work/research. Sorry.

I have no electronics on the ship .Why would I need any ?
Phone which is my camera and alarm clock.
Ipad if I want to play an occasional game like solitaire.
Normal camera to take pictures.
And I don’t do internet, others need it for those purposes too.

I have 3 NCL cruises booked right now. 1 direct with NCL, with a group rate and extra perks. And the other 2 with 2 different online agencies I’ve used before. I compare each time I book. As stated in a previous post, sometimes a TA will have cabins held in a block that they can sell at a better rate then NCL themselves, sometimes they don’t.
All 3 have Next Cruise certificates added also. I had 2 and purchased more on ebay to help with the savings also. Unless I am unhappy with the next cruise, I will be purchasing more while on board this Oct.

I have booked a shuttle from airport to Port for $70 for the both if us. So there is a middle priced option. I found it on the Rome airport site.
Here is first-hand experience with $50 shorex credit per port when booked online.....

Probably because some people would cancel the excursion for some reason or not. And the credit would then be on their account. Double work.
