  1. That’s a good question. This might help. What to do if a US Citizen has a positive COVID test before a flight from Barcelona to the USA According to the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the US national health agency, if you test positive, you can keep testing positive for up to 3 months after. As a result, the CDC has established that you will still be able to travel to the United States with your positive COVID test result certificate as long as you meet the following criteria: 1. Ten days have passed since the date of your positive COVID test result. This means you will be able to travel on Day 11 after the date you took your positive COVID test. 2. You do not have any COVID-19 symptoms. According to the CDC, COVID-19 symptoms include: fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath of difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion of runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhoea. 3. You have a signed letter from a healthcare provider or a public health official that clears you for travel and a positive COVID test certificate. Here’s the link I found this information. https://www.barcelona-tourist-guide.com/en/covid/destinations/covid-19-travel-requirements-from-barcelona-to-usa.html
  2. Thanks. That explains why we have never seen the link as we usually contact the EZAir folks if we want to pay early, especially if we have already PIF.
  3. I agree. We much prefer to fly with Delta if we are given a choice.
  4. How do you even request early ticketing online in your Personalizer using the Princess website under the Travel section? Just curious.
  5. When we initially booked our flights through EXAir, we asked them to assign seat numbers and they did. However, when our multi-leg AA flight changed, the seats disappeared and it was on us to get them reassigned. And you guessed it, AA would only assign seat numbers IF the flight had been actually ticketed (paid for). BTW I don’t know what non-code share means.
  6. Actually from my experience there is an advantage if you’re on an American Airlines flight. You can’t select your seats until the flight has been ticketed (aka paid for). You can with Delta beforehand, but not with AA. But at the same time, we have never had to pay an extra fee to simply pay for the flight earlier than when Princess was planning to pay for it.
  7. Thank you for this. Obviously, we have no plans to catch C19 while on our 21 day cruise. But it's nice to know if we did catch it early, we would be quarantined on the ship until we tested negative rather than being offloaded at some foreign part. 🙂
  8. If you had already taken a C19 test within 2 days of boarding the ship (vaccinated plus double boosted), did you still have to take a C19 test prior to boarding?
  9. Just a guess, but you didn't get the PUPs for booking a cruise until after you actually went on it. It might be the same rules apply for getting points for booking an excursion.
  10. Just thought I’d add a couple notes regarding Edge class ships, as we’ve cruised 21 days on the Edge and 16 days on the Apex since August. First, the Edge class ships each cost $1.2+ billion to build, so there is that. The Tree of Life they use in the show with the same name costs over $1 million to build. Our favorite places to be entertained besides the main theater are The Club, which has a variety of events going on throughout the day on sea days and Eden at the back of the ship, with their restaurant being our favorite specialty restaurant. Bottom line, they are very cool ships. They also have 4 different themed MDRs, along with 2 private restaurants, Blu for folks booking an Aqua cabin and Luminae for those booking a suite. Personally, our favorite cabins are Sunset verandas, and if your budget can handle it, the Sky suites, especially the corner aft facing cabins are also pretty cool. However, we have no desire to book an Infinite Veranda as we do enjoy sitting out on the veranda. Anyway, you definitely won’t be disappointed. 😁
  11. We are schedule to fly to Barcelona on July 1. However, we fly back from Barcelona after our 21 day cruise on American. We’ve been able, of course, to get our Delta seats assigned since we booked the flights through EZAir as Delta is good about allowing that before the ticket has actually been paid for. However, we weren’t able to pick our assigned seats until today on our return American flight, with one caveat. We were finally able to book the seats today on our return connecting flights on American that had no additional charge assign to them, such as for a better location ($97) or an upgraded seat ($128-156) where drinks were also include. When we tried to book any of these available “extra cost” seats on the AA website, there was a problem with the transaction. After talking to Princess who said we needed to talk with the AA, we eventually found out Princess was supposed to pay for the flights by June 8, but got an extension to June 23. And, you guessed it, when we check our Travel Summery, there was a Ticket Number associated with our Delta flight, but not with our return AA flight. On the bright side, we were able to get “free seat” assignments today on all of our return connecting flights. Something we haven’t been able to do for quite some time until today. But were not able to book any of the upgraded seat locations on the international flight. So our plan is to check every day until we can finally book those special type of seats. My guess is when we finally can, we’ll also magically see AA Ticket Numbers appear on our Princess Travel Summary.
  12. This is why we would very much enjoy hearing from someone currently on the Regal that has actually asked Guest Services what’s their current testing protocol, as I’m sure there are quite a few folks flying back to the USA on debarkation day, whether it’s in Barcelona, Rome or Athens.
  13. The FAQ states: UPDATED: If my home country requires proof of a negative COVID-19 test result for re-entry following my cruise, will Princess administer and cover the cost of the test?
  14. That’s fine, but she doesn’t give any options, just what a few people mentioned. According to the Princess website, I’m reading something different. UPDATED: If my home country requires proof of a negative COVID-19 test result for re-entry following my cruise, will Princess administer and cover the cost of the test? If a negative COVID-19 test is required for re-entry into your home country, Princess will cover the costs of tests, provided guests can show proof that their flight arrangements are the same day as they disembark the ship. Guests will need to make their own test arrangements if onward travel is not the day they disembark. Guests are encouraged to review their home country’s health authority and travel websites to understand the latest guidance on required testing and timing for return travel. If in fact what she saying is the Regal policy, what other options is Princess arranging for those passengers whose flights leave after Noon in accordance with what is written in their FAQs? https://www.princess.com/plan/cruise-with-confidence/cruise-health/frequently-asked-questions/eu-cruises/
  15. Just curious. We’re scheduled to board on July 2 in Barcelona and just looking for any insights regarding some of the fun times currently being experienced onboard! 😁
  16. We’re getting ready to board the Regal in Barcelona for 21 days in early July and were curious how the service was cruising around the Med?
  17. We’re planning our 2024 summer cruising schedule and have always wanted to cruise to Longyearbyen because it’s as far north as we can imagine cruising to. Has anyone cruised there before with NCL and, if so, what did you think? Is it a part of the world worth visiting? BTW we’re not interested in an Expedition cruise, but rather a cruise with either NCL, HAL or PCL.

  19. Hi all, as some of you may know we’ve been on a variety of Celebrity cruises since August which I usually posted our experiences to in “Live” Celebrity threads, whether it was on our Edge B3B in August, our Apex B2B in November, our Constellation B2B in December or our Reflection B2B in February.. Well, right now we’re on an 18 day Panama Canal cruise from SF to Ft Lauderdale on the Caribbean Princess in a Vista Suite and having a great time. So if by chance you have any questions about how the onboard experiences on the Caribbean Princess may differ from those on Celebrity, you can check out the Princess thread I’ve opened. And of course if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. 😎 Happy cruising everyone!!
  20. We passed our eMed antigen tests today (yay!!) and are super excited about going on our upcoming 18 day Panama Canal cruise on the Caribbean Princess. Our next step is to start packing for our early Tuesday morning flight from Alabama to San Francisco. Our last Princess cruise was in Jan 2020 on the Island Princess for 25 days on an Easter Island cruise which also took us through the PC “old locks”. We enjoy going to evening shows, playing trivia, going on ship excursions, and relaxing on our balcony, and I will try to post pictures of many of those experiences when I can. We were lucky enough to book a suite early one, so some of our experiences will be from that perspective, especially when it comes to Club Class dining. If you would like to follow along, please do, and I’ll try to answer any questions you may have if I can. Here is the 18 day Caribbean Princess itinerary with a link to its current location at the bottom of this post. 21. We are booked on an AA roundtrip flight through EZAir to SFO and back in late April and were just waiting for Princess to pay for the flights so we can pick our seats. Then about 2 weeks ago, our AA flights disappeared from our accounts on the AA website. When we try to retrieve the flight information using our booking number, it finds the booking and displays both our names and also states the ticket is (still) pending, but no itineraries are listed. When we contacted our TA, she said Princess is having flight issues and for us to email her 30 days out if we still have an issue, so she can start bugging the Princess EZAir folks. She said if she tries to bug them any farther out, like now which is 34 days out, they won't do anything. Funny thing is the flights are still listed in our Princess online accounts. This is a new one for us. Anyone else having similar issues?
  22. On our last HAL cruise on the Maasdam in Oct 2019, which was a 40 day cruise that included circumnavigating Australia as well as visiting some islands around New Caledonia, we got to experience a wonderful HAL program called In-Depth EXC which usually included 4-6 educational lectures on sea days as well as some great shows in the main theater. Any talk about that program coming back?
