  1. @Tak8just posted from the CB on transition day there were about 500 passengers continuing on the 2nd leg of their Caribbean cruise and did not have to pass an antigen test to reboard the ship. Yay!! Hope this trend continues!
  2. You would hope if they were going to test you in the terminal, they would have at least given you a heads up. Afterall, all of your belongings are still in your cabin, to include any valuables in your safe. 🤞
  3. I’m just looking at the Day 3 (the only sea day so far) Patter in post #77 where it says the Coral MDR is open between 12 - 1:30, plus the fact that on sea days on pretty much any Princess cruise ship, a MDR will always be open for lunch. I can’t even imagine no one on a sea day, to include those in Club Class dining, not being allowed the opportunity to eat a sit down lunch in a MDR.
  4. No problem. I’m just glad this misunderstanding has been resolved and a MDR continues to be open on sea days for lunch.
  5. I’m confused. The only sea day, day 3, the Coral MDR was open for lunch. All other days the ship has been in port at some location. Sounds pretty normal to me.
  6. Good point! My bad! I jump back and forth between Princess and Celebrity forums. Sorry about that. Here's the link on the Celebrity website for cruises out of Italy. 7. If you haven't already done so, you may want to check out this Princess link. It has quite a bit of information about testing when sailing out of Rome. CruiseHealth™ FAQ: Sailings from Europe - Princess Cruises
  8. Check out post #55 in the following thread. https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2851906-testing-eliminated-during-your-14-day-cruise/page/3/
  9. We just got off the CB and we only had issues for a few hours on one day out of 18. We just chalked it up to someone flushed something down the toilet they shouldn’t have, which is not uncommon.
  10. True. Protocols seem to be changing quite often as of late. Thank goodness we don’t cruise until July. Since the Regal is already in the Med, that’s pretty much the ship and associated Roll Calls and Live From threads we’ll be following from now until then.
  11. I'll let you know towards the end of June what my confidence level is as we fly to Barcelona on July 1 and hopefully things will be a lot clearer then. Well, one can hope anyway ...🤞
  12. Interesting. I read the statement differently based on the sentence, highlighted in purple, following the statement you highlighted in red. From the way I read it, Princess will also arrange for any required antigen test besides paying for it, possibly in the terminal after disembarking the ship if you’re flying out the same day. I guess we’ll just have to monitor what actually happens on the Regal as it’s in the Med now. If a negative COVID-19 test is required for re-entry into your home country,Princess will cover the costs of tests, provided guests can show proof that their flight arrangements are the same day as they disembark the ship. Guests will need to make their own test arrangements if onward travel is not the day they disembark.
  13. But was the bolded phrase (below) present in the May 11 update like it is now in the May 17 update? Update: I just checked and it was in the May 11 update. Guests ages five and above on back-to-back voyages will need to take a complimentary rapid antigen test within two days of the following voyage, where the following voyage includes a transocean voyage or full Panama Canal transit and the itinerary is 10 days or more.
  14. No worries. That information is now almost a week old! 😂
  15. Hi all, as some of you may know we’ve been on a variety of Celebrity cruises since August which I usually posted our experiences to in “Live” Celebrity threads, whether it was on our Edge B3B in August, our Apex B2B in November, our Constellation B2B in December or our Reflection B2B in February.. Well, right now we’re on an 18 day Panama Canal cruise from SF to Ft Lauderdale on the Caribbean Princess in a Vista Suite and having a great time. So if by chance you have any questions about how the onboard experiences on the Caribbean Princess may differ from those on Celebrity, you can check out the Princess thread I’ve opened. And of course if you have any questions, please feel free to ask. 😎 Happy cruising everyone!!
  16. We passed our eMed antigen tests today (yay!!) and are super excited about going on our upcoming 18 day Panama Canal cruise on the Caribbean Princess. Our next step is to start packing for our early Tuesday morning flight from Alabama to San Francisco. Our last Princess cruise was in Jan 2020 on the Island Princess for 25 days on an Easter Island cruise which also took us through the PC “old locks”. We enjoy going to evening shows, playing trivia, going on ship excursions, and relaxing on our balcony, and I will try to post pictures of many of those experiences when I can. We were lucky enough to book a suite early one, so some of our experiences will be from that perspective, especially when it comes to Club Class dining. If you would like to follow along, please do, and I’ll try to answer any questions you may have if I can. Here is the 18 day Caribbean Princess itinerary with a link to its current location at the bottom of this post. 17. We are booked on an AA roundtrip flight through EZAir to SFO and back in late April and were just waiting for Princess to pay for the flights so we can pick our seats. Then about 2 weeks ago, our AA flights disappeared from our accounts on the AA website. When we try to retrieve the flight information using our booking number, it finds the booking and displays both our names and also states the ticket is (still) pending, but no itineraries are listed. When we contacted our TA, she said Princess is having flight issues and for us to email her 30 days out if we still have an issue, so she can start bugging the Princess EZAir folks. She said if she tries to bug them any farther out, like now which is 34 days out, they won't do anything. Funny thing is the flights are still listed in our Princess online accounts. This is a new one for us. Anyone else having similar issues?
  18. On our last HAL cruise on the Maasdam in Oct 2019, which was a 40 day cruise that included circumnavigating Australia as well as visiting some islands around New Caledonia, we got to experience a wonderful HAL program called In-Depth EXC which usually included 4-6 educational lectures on sea days as well as some great shows in the main theater. Any talk about that program coming back?
