  1. Just a curious question. Can your husband log into the new App with his Princess userid and password while you can’t with yours and have to log on to the new App using the booking number process? Just checking for reasons why he can see the correct loyalty information and you can’t. I just checked both my DW’s and my new App info, and neither of us can see our Elite status listed under the medallion and neither of us can log onto either the old or new App using our Princess userid and password.
  2. Cool. Unfortunately, there is nothing under my name and above the My Voyages entry below it. FWIW I’m accessing the new App on both my iPhone and iPad.
  3. If I might ask, does the new app actually state your loyalty level, or is it just the color of the medallion shown in the new app’s Profile like I illustrated in post 21?
  4. Thanks for clearing this all up. I knew there had to be a Wi-Fi router (sensor) of sorts on the balcony. The service on the balcony was just too good for there not to be one. 😁
  5. Glad to hear the ship is doing fine. We’re on the next 2 cruises after this one.
  6. Hopefully that's the case and you are back up and running soon! 🤞 On the bright side, the seas look pretty calm where you are currently at as compared to the wave action south of the Falkland Islands. Windy "waves" weather forecast But it does look like you may be delayed getting into Port Stanley. Your original time looks like it was for 8 am and now the new estimate is 11 am. Hope that's wrong. 7. Good points. The only reason I originally thought it might be a wi-fi router was because when I was on one of those E-class ships on another cruise line while sitting on one of their sky suite balconies, I got zero wi-fi reception when the sliding glass door was closed. But when I cracked the door open to get access to the wi-fi, the AC in the cabin would shut off. Not good when you're in the Caribbean and your DW is inside trying to stay cool. Then when we recently went on the CB and then the Regal and got great reception on the balcony with the door closed, I just "assumed" that "round box" was the reason. But after reading the above link provided by @DHP1, I'm now leaning more towards the fire/heat/smoke detector theory. But when we're on the Sapphire in a couple of weeks, I'll ask the question, if for no other reason than to quell my curiosity.
  8. We'll be on the Sapphire in a couple of weeks, and I'll definitely be asking just to see if my previous wi-fi router assumption is correct. That's the only explanation I can come up with, as I do a lot of posting to CC while on our balcony with the door closed and I always have the same wi-fi reception whether I'm inside or outside.
  9. If the ship you are considering booking this cruise on still has aft-facing balcony cabins available, my suggestion would be to book one of those. Not only do they help minimize windy conditions when the ship is moving but also great views, which might come in handy depending on where the NLs decide to pop up. This way you can also pop in and out of the cabin to keep warm while waiting for them to appear. My above picture was taken from our aft-facing cabin.
  10. I agree, having a nice camera with all of the extras when taking photos of the NLs makes a huge difference. This shot was taken with my iPhone SE, with no delay exposure capabilities, in Aug 2022 just before midnight as we were cruising between Iceland and Greenland and lasted for only about 10-15 minutes before it was gone. But, if that's all you have, you can still take some memorable shots.
  11. Would also like to hear some feedback on this annual cruise. We had it booked once, but it got canceled due to the pandemic. Right now we’re looking to book it in 2026.
  12. That makes sense. In this case I manually typed my email address in, first in lower case and then on a second try in all caps. No luck.
  13. Actually, for us it's no big deal. These are all minor issues with workarounds in place, to include using the old App until we no longer can. Now, what would be a big deal is if I couldn't log onto Cruise Critic when I was on a cruise to post to a Live From thread without first upgrading my "bundled" Internet package to a ship's premium service. Now that would be a big deal for me, which BTW still happens on another cruise line we cruise with on occasion! 😂
  14. My bad. I was on the Old app. I am with all of you with regards to the new App. I can't find it anywhere. Sorry about that.
  15. We do. But then we also print out our latest PCL confirmation and bring it with us just in case.
  16. Click on the "Luggage Tags and Documents" link under the Travel Checklist.
  17. The pictures I added in post 21 were in My Profile section on each app.
  18. We could never log in with our PCL userid/password on the old app either. But on the bright side, we usually stay logged in indefinitely when we use the booking number login process.
  19. On the old App, it shows I’m Elite. On the new App, I “think” it shows me as Platinum. But my actual status is not noted in writing anywhere in My Profile on the new App that I can find.
  20. We made Elite on our last cruise in November. I contacted our TA to see if they could work with PCL to get our bookings over the next 2 years, we had previously booked, updated to reflect our new loyalty level. She was able to get our January bookings updated, which were the main ones we were concerned with. But the PCL rep she was working with said they couldn’t update our April/May and beyond bookings as they were too far out. But they would try again in about a month or so. I realize others have noted it really doesn’t matter. But just in case, it would be nice to have our bookings reflect our current loyalty status prior to starting the check-in process, just to make sure we get all the perks we’re now entitled to. 😁
  21. It's the same email address. But no big deal. As long as we can access our account through the App using a booking number, it's all good.
  22. BTW I forgot to mention I have a Live From thread in my below signature from when we went on the Apex, the 2nd of 5 E-class ships, in Nov 2022, which was one of our favorite X cruises ever.
  23. What we do is go check out the theater on the first day to plot out different locations where we might want to sit. Our favorite spots are on the second floor on the side where you are closest to the stage. Where we don’t want to sit is ina place where someone “coughing” cannot sit behind us, as that would be really annoying. Sorry, we’re still a little twitchy from the pando days when we had to test to go on the next leg when we were booked on a B2B which was pretty much always! 😂 But we usually try to get there 15-20 minutes early, get one of our favorite seats, and play rummy while we wait for the show. 😁
  24. Cool! You’re going to have a great time, especially since you’re booked in an aft-facing veranda cabin rather than one of the infinite verandas! Make sure you go to the evening shows, especially all of the production shows, and don’t forget to check out the shows they will also offer in The Club and on occasion back in Eden. They have 4 MDRs, so make sure you check out each one of them as well. My biggest suggestion is to check out the Daily the night before, plot out what you want to do the next evening and during the day, if it’s a sea day, because there should be plenty to do!! But most importantly, go on your first Celebrity cruise with an open mind and don’t try to compare it with any cruise ship you have ever been on before!! The E-class ships are definitely awesome, and of course, that’s why they charge so much! 😁
