What are the chances of snagging a room on a ship the week it is set to sail?

It is just one right after the other:(....and headed to the same area. Hopefully it will lose strength instead of gain. Of course I do not want my vacation to be cancelled but more than that would be the welfare of the people on these islands.

Can you check air prices for a potential future cruise prior to booking? I have been trying to plan my next venture for a cruise to Australia but wanted to check air before booking.

One year a storm was supposed to hit or come close to San Juan the day before our cruise which happened to be the day we were supposed to fly in. We scrabbled and changed our flight to two days before instead and paid for an extra night at the hotel. It turned out there was just really bad rain and the cruise was perfect. We would have been fine leaving it the way it was , but we had peace of mind and an extra day of vacation. We also always get insurance .

I have redeemed for my upcoming cruise twice....once for 250 and once for 150. Both credits showed up in my cruise planner within a week of redemption. I did the redemption on the same page as my CC account. There was a rewards tab. I received an email both times verifying the redemption.

Are the pool seats automatically reserved or do you have the concierge do this?

I know many times hurricanes require the cruise line to divert and change itineraries. When the cruise leaves from San Juan and flying in is the only way there....what adjustments can be made other than cancelling if this ever happens?

All of the bookings I looked at are in 2's. Are there no rooms that will accommodate more than 2?

Pretty sure clubs are 18+ but drinking is 21. I think the demographics may have a lot to do with the sail date. I have sons 19 and 24. We did the Freedom of the Seas on the 4th of July in 2016.....they LOVED it! They connected with a group of friends from day 1. We traveled on the Oasis during fall break and while it was still great fun, a different atmosphere than on Freedom. We attributed it to college age kids being in school for the most part.

We have booked Embassy Suites pre-cruise but I am seeing lots of suggestions for Hyatt Place. Anyone with any comparison (Pros/Cons) of the two options?

The credit that I redeemed last week is showing in the cruise planner today. My cruise isn't till Sept 30. so should be plenty of time to make purchases:)

Looking at the new room service menu I see there is a 7.95 service charge with an exception to Grand Suite and above. Would a Royal Family Suite be considered above or below a Grand Suite? Also, does anyone know if the eggs at breakfast are real eggs (scrambled)?

Nope, not Sea Class. Just GS and above. The sign has the colored cards that have access to the area. The ships with suite class do not give gold cards to suite passengers, they are other colors (maroon and something else??).

Does a Royal Family Suite get Gold or something else?

Not necessarily. In my experiences the reserved seats have never been very crowded.

How close to the pool are they usually? Are there some sun and some shade options?
