  1. Nice, you got the 3rd arm bonus with your COVID vaccine. 😄 Or maybe you got monkey feet to hold that 3rd glass?
  2. An alternative to JS is solo in two connecting balcony cabins. The two cabins are often less than one JS. Two beds, two baths, two TVs, two [smaller] balconies, etc.
  3. I preferred the CL. Less crowded, quieter, and better view.

  5. Celebrity used to have a nice sit down afternoon tea for some Captain's Club member tiers.
  6. Looks like @soremekun hijacked the OP's account. 😄
  7. I get the feeling that non-cruise people think everyone pays STAR pricing. I often get "It must be nice to have money to cruise all the time." Some of my cruises it was cheaper to cruise than stay home.
  8. Yes, and that is where my "best value" choice comes into play.
  9. I recently submitted my retirement paperwork, so I'll see if I'll cruise more, having unlimited un-PTO in the future.
  10. You didn't recognize Uncle Joe, Aunt Linda, Judy, and Paul? P.S. It seems rude to assume the "crashers" are CC members. 🙄
  11. I'm 0 for 3 when booking a VB. 1st: Free upgrade (pre-Royal UP) to OV balcony 2nd: Free upgrade (pre-Royal UP) to OV 3rd: After price drops, it was cheaper to upgrade to OV balcony, than keep the VB
  12. So, you left your cabin at 6:59:30 AM? 😄
  13. My first TA (14 nights Port Everglades to Copenhagen) was supposed to be 6 sea days, stop in Azores, 2 sea days, Southampton, then I think the remainder was port days. When I booked, I wasn't sure how I'd like 6 sea days in a row, but it turned out to be 9 sea days in a row, since Azores port was closed when we arrived due to bad weather. So, after that experience, I was comfortable booking a 10 night non-stop and later two 8 night non-stops.
  14. Where do you see it's valid on existing bookings? This is what I see: FCC Kicker Booking Window: July 1-31, 2022 Sailing Window: All sailings departing between August 2, 2022 - May 25, 2023 How to Redeem: Guest must redeem FCC on a new booking made between August 2, 2022 – December 31, 2023, on a sailing on or before December 2023 Offer Details: $100 to spend at sea, OBC will be applied on the back end up to two weeks after the FCC redemption Combinability: Applicable to all rate programs But the booking, sailing, and redeem dates don't line up???? 🙄
  15. That's a Royal IT "feature" (aka just another bug).
  16. And you can thank China for that. 😄 Mama Mia was moved from Quantum ("refurbed" for China) to Allure.
  17. Port Canaveral and Nassau are less crowded "sea" days for me. But more and more people seem to have the same idea. 😞
  18. I'm the opposite, prefer more seas days over port intensive cruises. But some sea days between ports works for me. One of my favorite cruises was a 10 night non-stop TA (Lisbon to San Juan) on an Oasis class lifeboat (Azamara Journey). I've also done 8 night non-stop TAs (Southampton to Cape Liberty) on Quantum and Anthem. Another favorite cruise was a 16 night Arctic Crossing with 6 sea days and overnights in 2 ports.
  19. I choose whatever is the best "value" for each sailing. Could be inside, outside, or balcony. Had a 2BR GS once, but that was a free upgrade in exchange for giving up 2 OV cabins on a full sailing.
  20. It is very rare that a passport is required in port. SeaPass and photo ID is the norm.
