  1. Yes, and that is where my "best value" choice comes into play.
  2. I recently submitted my retirement paperwork, so I'll see if I'll cruise more, having unlimited un-PTO in the future.
  3. You didn't recognize Uncle Joe, Aunt Linda, Judy, and Paul? P.S. It seems rude to assume the "crashers" are CC members. 🙄
  4. I'm 0 for 3 when booking a VB. 1st: Free upgrade (pre-Royal UP) to OV balcony 2nd: Free upgrade (pre-Royal UP) to OV 3rd: After price drops, it was cheaper to upgrade to OV balcony, than keep the VB
  5. So, you left your cabin at 6:59:30 AM? 😄
  6. My first TA (14 nights Port Everglades to Copenhagen) was supposed to be 6 sea days, stop in Azores, 2 sea days, Southampton, then I think the remainder was port days. When I booked, I wasn't sure how I'd like 6 sea days in a row, but it turned out to be 9 sea days in a row, since Azores port was closed when we arrived due to bad weather. So, after that experience, I was comfortable booking a 10 night non-stop and later two 8 night non-stops.
  7. Where do you see it's valid on existing bookings? This is what I see: FCC Kicker Booking Window: July 1-31, 2022 Sailing Window: All sailings departing between August 2, 2022 - May 25, 2023 How to Redeem: Guest must redeem FCC on a new booking made between August 2, 2022 – December 31, 2023, on a sailing on or before December 2023 Offer Details: $100 to spend at sea, OBC will be applied on the back end up to two weeks after the FCC redemption Combinability: Applicable to all rate programs But the booking, sailing, and redeem dates don't line up???? 🙄
  8. That's a Royal IT "feature" (aka just another bug).
  9. And you can thank China for that. 😄 Mama Mia was moved from Quantum ("refurbed" for China) to Allure.
  10. Port Canaveral and Nassau are less crowded "sea" days for me. But more and more people seem to have the same idea. 😞
  11. I'm the opposite, prefer more seas days over port intensive cruises. But some sea days between ports works for me. One of my favorite cruises was a 10 night non-stop TA (Lisbon to San Juan) on an Oasis class lifeboat (Azamara Journey). I've also done 8 night non-stop TAs (Southampton to Cape Liberty) on Quantum and Anthem. Another favorite cruise was a 16 night Arctic Crossing with 6 sea days and overnights in 2 ports.
  12. I choose whatever is the best "value" for each sailing. Could be inside, outside, or balcony. Had a 2BR GS once, but that was a free upgrade in exchange for giving up 2 OV cabins on a full sailing.
  13. It is very rare that a passport is required in port. SeaPass and photo ID is the norm.
  14. The dates in black is the date range for the map shown. As you click the blue dates, they change to black. It looks like the GS are on deck 10 https://www.royalcaribbean.com/cruise-ships/radiance-of-the-seas/deck-plans/2148/10
  15. Rec'd my Enchantment block today. 👍
  16. Yeah, I think I've seen that on an occasion or two.
  17. Had him on Grandeur. I originally thought his name was Carlton, so I called him "Carlton the Doorman" 😄
  18. And in my experience, it's too loud without my aids. 😲
  19. I just do restocking / filling / maintenance on my own. But occasionally they lock up the supplies / milk.
  20. Yes, those were the days. But did have to do my own supply stocking / maintenance (cups, fill coffee, empty grinds, etc.) at times. 😄 And yes, they often open later and close earlier than the posted times. 😞
