  1. I've booked EzAir for our Sun Princess cruise this August.

I specifically asked my TA to confirm we each get one hold luggage included in the airfare. It is.

All our previous Med' fly cruises included hold luggage up to 23 kgs, regardless of the airline. Some do differ with the size and weight of the cabin bag however.

Is it possible to book it as two one-week sailings as a b2b? Then you’d get double the dinners and sometimes the fare is cheaper.

It's not cheaper for us in the UK. I'd get less Shareholders OBC too.

For the sake of two additional specialty dinners it's a balls ache to achieve!

Yes, there are a couple of those I’ve seen, however they look more like the Starbucks toaster ovens than a microwave, so may blend into the other appliances sometimes.

I actually just got some meatballs that were heated in that microwave and they were warm but the center wasn’t quite warm enough. Easy to ask for a reheat though once you know where to go.

    Excellent news. Thanks.

I have kept well clear of ships' buffets as the food is ALWAYS too cold for me.

I also always tell my table waiter in the MDR at the start of a cruise that I like my food hot. They therefore leave mine until the last to be served on a table of 8, and it is indeed hot enough to my liking.

  4. I had the same issue a couple of weeks ago with the Sky Princess booking for 2025. Never gave it another thought until I read this thread.

Gave it another go, and this time it worked. The App shows it with our Sun Princess 2024 booking.

I really wouldn't waste time calling Princess over it.

....................for example, the shower is what I imagine showers on airplanes in economy would be like. Very efficient, but very small. Any of you having some vaycay plans for fun sexy time in the shower need to rethink that,  because unless you trained extensively with Cirque du Soleil, it is just not happening.

I guess the balcony isn't an option either for the mini suite cabana dwellers?

So glad we have a normal balcony that can't be overlooked 🤪

The OP said they like drink packages.  I believe that is a big note to point out a difference between the 2 lines.  It isnt hard to do....

Based on a Sea day -

Wake up and get a baileys and coffee (maybe 2) from the coffee bar

Have a mimosa at breakfast (or bloody mary if you like those)

10am - pool (or wherever you are)  beer or beverage

11am - pool (or wherever you are)  beer or beverage

    1230pm - 1 or 2 with lunch

2pm - pool (or wherever you are)  beer or beverage

3pm - pool (or wherever you are)  beer or beverage

A pre dinner drink in the Piazza or Vines

    630pm - 1 or 2 with supper

That is going to leave you 4-5 to have at the disco over the course of the evening or at the casino or in the theater while watching the show, or at the piano bar, or wherever you are.

    😄

That's me too! But more glasses of wine with dinner for sure.

They'd like you think you don't but it's priced to Princess's advantage that unless you do, they're making a killing on the package.

Most of the cost is based on the alcohol and they know that the average cruiser won't come close to the max.

Nice to think I'm "above average" in something for a change!

Even on port days I can easily drink a few bottles of Peroni, a pre dinner drink and glasses of wine over dinner. It's thirsty work too dancing the night away!

Why does everyone freak out about specialty dining. We have been on 60 Princess cruises and have never booked in advance. There are always tables that can be had while on board. It also helps if you eat after 7:00

Totally agree. We always wait until we board.

Even on nights that are supposedly booked up, we get a table on the night.

With the Med' cruises being so port intensive I guess passengers cancel because they are knackered by the evening and just do to the buffet.

  9. We've been on Millennium, Solstice and Edge class ships and would say the Solstice ones have the same vibe as Royal class ships.

Entertainment is better I think on Princess. There just seems to be more going on. I miss Morano's however as Sabatini's isn't as good.

MUTS is great, but Celebrity have TV screens too. Just not as big!

Like many have said, you will not be disappointed with the switch to Princess.

  10. I'll drink red or white wine from the Plus offerings and just stick to the ones that I like the most. The only time I'll upgrade is for real champagne and pay the difference.

The pour sizes are no big deal. I'll just return to the bar more often and kid myself it's good exercise!

When I get close to my 15 drink limit, I have the wife's allowance in reserve!😂
