Does anyone have any advice regarding the best time to arrive for boarding Pride of America on embarkation day ? Thank you in advance for your tips.

call it subjective if you wish. good food used to be a staple for all cruise lines, unfortunately it has become a thing of the past.specialty restaurants costing more $$$ are being pushed on cruisers more and more :(

do not know about luau in Kauai, but the Old Lahaina Luau in Maui is wonderful

I have brought bottled water onboard with a luggage tag in the past. Is this still permitted on ncl cruises ?

Check out Germaine's Luau in Oahu. They pick you up in a bus at your hotel and bring you back when the Luau is over.

The anytime dining works well, the maitre'd will get you seated in short order.

The flexabilty comes in handy not putting you and your group under pressure to make deadlines to eat. We ( myself and several family members ) are going on this cruise in sept 2016, so feel free to ask me specific questions after that. the cruise, I have been told, is a little different than most other cruises due to the port intense itinerary. Safe travels !

I have researched this quite a bit as we are in the same situation in September.

The local taxi companies (CBmaui from Kahuli and Lahaina taxi back to the ship) should cost you about $100.00 dollars each way tip included. While renting a car is probably less expensive, you will be driving after dark (at least on the way back to the ship) on roads that you may not be familiar with. Also if you choose to have a cocktail or two, the taxi is a better go. Have fun it is a Great Luau.

Has anyone done the pre cruise night at the Marriott Waikiki ? Also would like to know about the NCL bus to the pier on day of embarkation. Any tips or advice will be greatly appreciated. Mahalo

Has anyone experienced the pre cruise night at the Marriott Waikiki , as well as the bus to the cruise pier for embarkation. We have this booked and have never done it before, trying to get a few tips on the whole procedure.
