Looking forward to your post, we are cruising on POA Sept. 17

The main attraction of the POA cruise is Hawaii.

Hopefully you will be getting off the ship and enjoying Hawaii when the ship is in port (every day). I do not think you will miss the casino. You are also in the USA for the entire cruise which is a rare treat when cruising.

Did you miss the ship ? or are you worried about missing the ship ?

tours booked through the cruise line are the safest bet with regard to not getting left.

other reputable tour companies would not be in business too long if the customers did ot get back to the ship in time for departure.

you can research the companies on trip advisor to see what previous cruiseres had to say about them....

We will be cruising on the Pride of America in a few weeks. Like most folks we have cell phones, tablets and yes a " background noise machine" . Is it ok to bring an extension cord along without being sent to the naughty room ???

May is great, if you choose a time when most of the schools are in session

there will be fewer kids on board. Have a great cruise. :D

the deep woods off (with deet) wipes are very handy to use and you are not spraying repellent all over everything.

we recently cruised on Royal , we did not get off the ship in Nassau,

a small credit appeared on our bill, was this a refund of port fees ???

Many people find they can actually each cheaper with the a la carte pricing than the flat charge. And you don't HAVE to pay for food. Main dining rooms, O'Sheeans, etc are still free. You can CHOOSE to pay more if you want to, but you don't HAVE to.

 

Lobster hasn't been free for quite some time on NCL. As others have said, its an entire 1.5-ish lb lobster, not just a tiny tail. They will have a steak dish every day in the dining room that is no charge. If you choose to get the steak you could order @ Cagney's, you may do that at the dining room for an additional cost (and for less than if you were dining at Cagney's!).

If you can book your cruise during times when most of the schools are in session, there will be fewer kids onboard. With regard to music selections and

entertainment Holland America may be very enjoyable for the 60 + cruisers.

I am 58 , have cruised with Holland America, Royal Carribean, Celebrity and Princess, really enjoyed them all !!!

I see the recent raise in drink prices. When I booked, I was happy to take the UBP as it came with some of my favorite premium liquors. Now it appears they are above the price limit.

Why are we not grandfathered in? If I purchase an excursion now and the price goes up later, I get the old deal. Why not with this. On a past cruise, I got only 1 of 5 items from the promo, they changed it and I would have gotten 2 of 5. ( It was after final payment) so I lost out. In this case I booked and paid so the old package is what I should get. I am already paying over $1100 in tips for the UBP as it is for two people. ( yes that is for the UBP and not the service charge)

I love animals. I do not want to see all these pets in the grocery store when I am food shopping ect... Seeing eye dogs , no problem. Emotional support ???? different story. Saw a picture of a turkey on a delta flight...emotional support.

by the way I do not park in handicapped parking spots, they are a great thing for people who truly need them. If people would not trying to keep scamming the "system" things might be a little better for everyone.
