  1. It depends on you, how intensive your cruise will be. You need not to have a daily programme that leaves you exhausted.

Pick your favourites in the ports and see what happens.

You are free to stay on board if you feel not fit enough for exploring.

  2. Thank you @Dynacruiser, perfect summary!

For me the difference are the people - guests and crew. On Azamaras ships we met wonderful open minded people from all over the world, with some of them we are still in contact. People who are travelling and not on holiday, means they are interested in the ports they visit and cultures they meet. I think this creates this relaxed atmosphere that I enjoy so much.

After more than 100 nights on the ships I really feel like coming home.

  3. Chioggia is a very nice little town! We spent a day there before debarkation this summer. A lot of nice restaurants and bars. Very italian!

It is walkable from port - 10 minutes to the main street. It also has one of the largest beaches in Italy - called Sottomarina - this will take 30 minutes.

You can also do boattrips in the lagoon of Venice or take the vaporetto to Lido di Venezia.

Thats really interesting @beatnix @tonyl1956 , how did you find your TAs? Did they have the offer visible online or is it something one needs to ask directly?

It was a recommendation of guys we met on an Azamara cruise. And they have it also on their website.

But I am very happy with them so I book with them because of their performance and not because of the cash back. And they have also cruised with Azamara so they know the product.

I would definitely call Azamara and ask them directly. Regular OBC from the 1st cruise is now rolled over into the 2nd of the B2Bs, but the "Essentials Package" might not fall into that same category. Call them, it's a good question, and do everyone a favor and please post their reply when you get it.

I would like to do that. Unfortunately I am located in Austria and to make a call to the US is rather expensive.

And the Azamara office in Germany is very friendly but not really helpful.

  6. We are booked on an B2B, both with the Experience More Essentials with $ 300 each for shore excursions.

As we do not tend to book excursions on the first leg, I would like to know if this not used OBC is also useable on the second leg as regular OBC.

    Any experience?

    Thank you!

Do they give you the reusable bottle?   Are they still providing the plastic bottles?  Advantages and disadvantages to each option...

Yes, it is a gift. No more plastic bottles on Journey. Just Evian water is still in plastic but you have to pay for.
