The DH and I went to both Nassau and Freeport Bahamas back in May on the Elation and we both Loved It! Had a great time in both ports. We've been praying for Everyone in the Bahamas.

I'd much rather have HMC than a day at Sea, hands down!!

I'm wondering the same thing because we'll be on the Magic in about two weeks as well. 

This Video is Hilarious!! Jesus cooking Whataburger On The Grill!! LOL. I don't live where these burgers are sold so now I'm curious if I'll be singing like he was or trying to eat the bag. I guess a road trip is in order? 😜

I love your Daughter's Dress that she wore on Elegant Night!

We have 24 Days To Go Before we Get On The Magic!!!!!  So excited and cannot wait. I took my DH on the Carnival Elation back in May for a 4 night Cruise and Hubby Bit the Cruise Bug!! YAY. 

I am SO Glad Someone asked this question about Journey Cruises. Thanks to all for your reply's. Now I want to do this type of cruise as well.

My Husband and I are doing this exact ship and itinerary in September. Was the Pig & Anchor open on Embarkation Day? If so, how long were the lines? I know it's only open on Sea Days so how long were the lines on those days? Did the Ship make it to Half Moon Cay?

Well Willdra, You Have Done It Again!! Another Great Review! I hated the review had to come to an End. I now have to wait for me and the Fiancée, who will be Husband, when we cruise for our Honeymoon Cruise on the Magic in September. 

I've been on the Valor twice and LOVED IT!! That was when the Valor was doing 7 night cruises. I've done the Western and Eastern Itinerary on the Valor. I like the décor of the ship and the Aft Pool.

I have a Onesie too! It's fleece, warm and cozy, perfect for Cleveland Brutal Winters. But I would not be caught Dead out in Public with it on.

OMG good lawd! LOL! I can see young men wearing these and teens and tweens like stuff like that, so I get it. But Grown Men wearing these Rompers, now that's a different story!

Willdra - Of course I had to go look up Men Rompers on Google. I don't know how you could only chuckle to yourself and not belt out a Huge Laugh?? LOL. 

I really enjoy the Steakhouse on my cruises. I usually book the steakhouse on one of the Elegant Nights so I can have an extra reason to get dressed up and have a wonderful dinner with my Husband. I also like the fact that it takes about 2 hours to complete. I'm in no hurry to go anywhere and the two of us can have a good time talking while enjoying our meal. Once we're done, we go find all the backdrops we like and take some really nice photos. By the time we go take pictures the lines have all died down and we're not standing around waiting to get our pictures taken. So for us, we love the Steakhouse and it's something we look forward to doing!

I think bringing a Hoodie or Sweater of some sort would be beneficial. There are areas on ships where it's just Cold!! This may not be the "Secret" you were looking for but just something I thought I'd mention. I get cold easy so staying as warm as I can is important to me.

I am so glad that I saw the start to this review, it allowed me to read your Oasis OTS Review. I had been looking for it and could not find it. I'm very impressed with the Oasis, I guess I'll have to give Royal a try one of these days. As usual your pictures were Great and so was the Review.

I almost went on the Liberty OTS a few weeks ago but the cruise was only a 3 night. I have to fly (Way Too Impatient to sit from Ohio to Florida) to the cruise ports and could not justify flying to Orlando and then right back home with only doing a 3 night cruise. Umm, Yeah NO. Not doing that! I am curious to try Royal though so it's on my radar even more now that I've read your review. Thanks so much for writing your reviews. I get to check out great pictures and laugh out loud while at work. Win-Win in My Book.

The ship is scheduled to leave San Juan at 6pm. That's what I just saw when I looked at the Fascination Schedule.

If I were you, I would find the earliest flight out from your home city. That way you would have some wiggle room in case the unexpected happens.

I have flown to San Juan on the same day as Embarkation at least 4 times and luckily there were no flight issues. However, that's when the ship wasn't leaving port until 10pm at night.

Thankfully, large numbers of out-of-control children will not be a concern for us.  We are sailing just after schools resume from Christmas Break.  In fact, our cruise coincides with midterm exams for a lot schools.  We never cruise during Summer or school holidays so as to avoid the large herds of improperly parented children.  I've seen enough bad behaviour from kids on our longer cruises during the school year that I would never cruise when school was out.

Yes I learned a valuable lesson from this cruise. However My Fiancée had a long weekend off his job so we added a day at Disney World onto the cruise. We just made a decision to go for it since the timing was right. To be honest I didn't think it would be so full of kids considering schools were just getting out for summer break.  I will think twice going forward about cruising when school is out!  

I just completed a 4 day cruise on the Carnival Elation out of Port Canaveral. I did not find guest on the ship to be Rowdy, Drunk, Falling All Over The Place, Making a Fool of Themselves or any of that. What I did find, were TONS of KIDS everywhere. They took over the Pool, Took over the Hot Tubs, running, Jumping in lines for the Waterslides, Sliding across the wet floors by the Waterslides, Running up and down the Halls-Playing-At least on our floor, Etc. I rarely saw parents controlling their kids or at least making them mind their manners. 

Not ALL short cruises are full with Bad, Drunk and Rowdy People. Not sure why short cruises get such a bad rap but if I could go on the Elation again, I would in a heartbeat. I think I'll continue to do majority of my cruising in the Fall when the Kids are back in school.
