Google says Gulf + Trump ban on US owned cruise ships visiting Cuba + sixth consecutive quarter disappointing results.
As long as you’re not looking to sell your shares the drop doesn’t really affect, does it? OBC not affected afaik

You’re right that the three C’s, Cadiz, Cannes and Cartagena, are easy to self-explore. All good imo. I think Cannes may have been a tender port for us.
Gibraltar seems to be a bit of a “Marmite” port. Generally only a half-day - which suits me. (You can tell which side I’m on!). However, there are things to see and do, other than shop. The cable car to the top of the rock and the horrible monkeys is probably an iconic activity. Easy to do yourself - just walk and you can’t miss it. The Trafalgar graveyard is an interesting and quiet spot, away from the madding crowd.
Bilbao is absolutely fantastic though ... I’m not really helping, am I?
Enjoy your cruise, wherever

Welcome
Sindhu do lunchtime specials sometimes, on sea days. Maybe you will be able to enjoy a daytime meal?

Have a look at this link to the P&O help pages (I wish these were more obvious on the new, “improved”, website)

The Ocean Grill is very nice

Better late than never ... here’s the info from the P&O website. Scroll to the bottom to find the children’s choices. As I said - pretty much anything

An article from cruisecritic from 2011
https://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/news/news.cfm?ID=4370
There’s nothing new under the sun, is there?
-
No.
Why would you?
Just be inside or be outside, don’t subject people around you to the inconvenience of draughts (gales), whistling and potential heating issues.
The notice says Keep the Door Closed - so keep the door closed.
Please

Oh, that filled my coffee-break beautifully. Thank you for the effort you put in to writing it. I’m glad you had a practically perfect holiday. Sounds like you may have caught the P&O cruise bug though.
I think you may get a Berlitz cruise ship manual if you also post this in the ‘official’ review section? I wouldn’t find a lot of value in that book but you might like it.
Thanks again - I always appreciate reading others’ reports and impressions

Thanks.
I’ve tried to use the ‘Report Post’ button, to draw it to the Mods’ attention and suggest a sticky pin, but the link won’t work for me (Safari on iPad mini)
Could somebody try on a laptop/desktop?
Or use some other means to make the request?
Later ....
I have ‘Reported’ P-L-B’s post and asked that it may have a Sticky Pin, at the top of the sub-forum.
Fingers crossed the Mod Team like the suggestion

I haven’t seen a Moments for ages.
This Cruise Directors question is asked so often I wonder if it would be worth trying to add a sticky? Can anyone copy and post a current schedule? The thread could be updated as future Moments are published
-
Thanks, everyone, for your thoughts.
This might be a useful thread for future browsers, so if anyone has anything to add please feel free

Several brands (none of which you have ever heard of) if you do an Amazon search. They seem pretty expensive to me. IF I ever feel I will need to use a washing machine on a cruise I think I will just take pods or tablets, safely stored in a secure plastic container
Enjoy your cruise Kerry

Have any folk experienced in longer (4 weeks +) cruises, to warmer climes, got any top tips about what “extras” to pack? I’ve been giving it some thought and come up with the answer “Nothing you wouldn’t take for a two week cruise - just more of some things”
Am I right, or are there items to enhance those extra, warm, days?

There is an extensive children’s menu, and if the new website was more user-friendly I would try to make a link for you.
Basically - there’s everything! Small potions of whatever is on the adult menu for the day, or modern ‘kid stuff’ like burgers & nuggets, or pasta + bolognaise or tomato sauce, or roast chicken, or sausages, or fish & chips etc etc etc
The waiters adore having children at their tables - they’ll do all they can to keep everyone happy
-
You’re welcome.
That website is a mine of information re menus, activities, statistics etc

CPS t&cs
https://www.cruiseparking.co.uk/TermsAndConditions
10% cancellation fee.
(but this might not apply to P&O linked booking - maybe?)
I think if I were you I’d go for the train journey and take the financial hit. As you say, the alternative is a stressful, and possibly crowded, drive.
Phone and get the definitive answer
-
Yes, I think so.
We certainly changed (unbooked) parking for obc, fairly recently. I suppose it depends on the t&cs for the parking. Anyway, if you phone customer services you’ll get the definitive answer; good luck. I think you’ll be ok

Haven’t we all missed the Tipping threads ... ?

I tried to help a poster asking about wine packages in another thread. Previously it was possible to access a list of the wines available on each package. I couldn’t find that information today - couldn’t even find prices. It may be that I am not looking in the right place but I did try and did spend some time searching.
The new site simply does not seem very user-friendly
-
You might even get some compensation from the airline. Just make a note of your scheduled and actual departure and arrival times and check it out later, when you get back from, hopefully, a lovely holiday.
Happy holiday!

It will wait for you if you’re on a P&O package
We were delayed 7 hours flying to Barbados. Azura waited; they did muster, laid on ‘enhanced buffet’, All was well.
