Not the Hague, but did you visit the Keukenhof https://keukenhof.nl/en/ before? It will close at May 12th this year and I understand you will be in the right period in the Hague. Short railway trip to Leiden and from the station with the special bus to the Keukenhof. Enjoy your stay in the Netherlands!

What about for using restrooms? Do they charge for restroom use in Norway like in mainland Europe? Is this all electronic too?
My experience during several Norwegian cruises: yes. And I never brought cash to Norway. Last year: DH forgot his appointment with his hairdresser and had to look for one in Norway who accepted credit cards: only Norwegian cards accepted and we had to look for an ATM first..... (Yes, I know the alternative: hairdresser on board HAL ships.....).

We’ve decided on the Rotterdam cruise. The 2 days in Stockholm ended up being the deciding factor.
And I would like to add: We like Aarhus too.....

Ah, yes. How rude not to come back and let us know.
Their question about using insurance to get a cheap solo fare, though 😲
Another WOW.

Schiphol: 6am curbside or wheels down?
We’ve always taken morning flights from AMS to BCN departing 9am’ish, arriving approximately 10:30am on embarkation days, taxi, Aerobus or private car to the port et voila.
Problem can be for OP that for a AMS flight departure at around 09:00 AM he/she/they will have to be at the airport check-in counter on or before 07:00 AM.

Sunset around August 3rd in Rotterdam is around 21.30. So it will be "dark" around 22:00. Perfect time to be back in your hotel.
If I remember well, we brought our luggage last year to the cruise terminal around 09:30 in the morning. You can then perfectly visit the surroundings, even come back for the check-in, visit your cabin for a moment and go back ashore (maybe to cross the bridge and visit the old quarters on the left hand side (as seen from the m.s. Rotterdam or the Cruise Terminal) .And maybe take a watertaxi back to the Hotel New York location next to the terminal and ship? Enjoy your stay.

That's my understanding too (and what happened to us). Apparently there is an exception if you are on a segment of a world cruise (or so I've heard!).
And as I understood on a Grand Voyage too.

I will try it for my August cruise after the board re-authorizes it this year (I assume they will).
See the Carnival corp publication with all information about shareholders benefit: they already did: untill December 31st, 2024. So you can go ahead (I already did for our August cruise with success 😉).

@Alphen As from today: shareholders OBC not visible anymore in Navigator. Reason? Please let me know whether it is the case in your Navigator too.

@Tampa Girl I applied for August 3rd, so exactly 5 months ahead.....Surprises me, but, as I have no plan to sell as long as we are able to cruise, I appreciate this very much, for the same reason as @CGinMTL mentions: removal from "to do" list.

@CHPURSERThanks for the corrected time for travelling from Narita to Tokyo. Before our cruise I calculated the difference in time from hotels in Tokyo to the locations we planned to visit and with Nikko Narita. In our case travelling from a Tokyo hotel to catch our flight in the morning was part of the decision to book Nikko.

Would be interested to know where you can see this in the Navigator App, I can only pull up one booking at the time and haven't found any OBC in the App yet, but that could be me!
Before I never found any OBC too and as of now I still donot see any "normal" OBC, but I was surprised to see this this morning:
Open APP Navigator

In the meantime: Everything approved and applied. And even visible in Navigator for both bookings!

I sent our Manual Brokerage Statement on Saturday March 3rd, which was immediately confirmed by Stockperks,
They validated proof of share ownership on Friday March 8th,
I redeemed Saturday 9th, which was confirmed immediately.
19 hours later "Successfull OBC application to itinerary" message received from Stockperks (and visible in HAL Navigator App.).
Quite good as HAL changed the method March 1st if I understood well.

Think about booking hotel Nikko (Okura) close to Narita airport (very regular shuttle to airport with railway station) and visiting Tokyo from the hotel. Nice hotel, comfortable rooms, better price and size compared to hotels in town. And in our opinion perfect connection by train (If I remember well, less than 30 minutes.). And in addition: perfect for the departure next day.

March 8,2024 CCL stock on a strong upward movement in early trading 😁
That's nice, especially if you plan to sell, which I donot 😉

Thanks Alphen,
Not "eligible" yet (still pending) and at Holland America Line: Onboard credit per stateroom on sailings it says: "03/04/2024 in Progress" .

We have successfully requested and received notification of our OBC for two cruises, after figuring out you need to enter the year in four digits in the form in the App, instead of two digits 🤪
I am curious how many days they need to approve copy of our bank statement (I deleted the same information as before) and to confirm the OBC for our cruise in april. Redeeming for a booking in August seems not possible at this very moment in the App as the green knob turned grey.....

No problem; without any doubt roomservice stewards are used to see pyamas in the morning.

Good morning,
Cruise ship scheduled to dock in Rotterdam at 7 am. What is your earliest recommended flight time for an international flight out of Schipol ?thank you
International flight within Europe: 2 hours before flight. To USA: 3 hours. But if you travel to f.e. USA in summer during school holidays I personally would try to arrive 4 hours before the scheduled flight and would certainly not book a flight before NOON. JMO.

So sorry for you, but I do not agree with the text: "avoid deck 4". We were a few times on ms Rotterdam and on deck 4 too and quite happy with our cabins. It might help to publish your comments at halfacts dot com at your specific cabin number as you donot mention it.

Apologies if this has already been asked, but I have two questions. What is the promo value of the welcome back code applied to a future booking? I didn’t receive one, but did book a new cruise within 90 days of return and used FCD. Has anyone successfully requested HAL apply the welcome back code post 90 days upon seeing the debarkation and subsequent new booking were within the guidelines to receive it?
Yes, we got it without even asking (Booked within 2 weeks after disembarkation for a cruise starting after another 2 weeks 😉 ).

Ooooo, thank you so much, you are absoutely right: as from June 2024 no connection from Rotterdam too.
Best way to get to the cathedral in Trondheim
in Northern Europe & Baltic Sea
Posted
First: print a map of Trondheim at www.Whatsinport.com. Leaving the terminal, walk straight on along the water till you cross the road (Brattorkaie?)parallel to the cruise quai. Somewhere to the right or left (sorry) is a bus stop (we stopped him in the middle of the road 😉). Bus 25 brings you to the center right in front of the office of the buscompany. From there quite regular transportation to the cathedral. I am so sorry that I cannot mention those busnumbers nor the normally low price. We could not pay that day with money nor with cards (digital systems.....and the drivers said: just sit down....it's OK). Public transport in Trondheim is very good. Trondheim is a very nice city, but if you would like to visit the surroundings: go with the tram at St Gustavsgate to Lian and back. At the office of the bus/tramcompany we bought tickets for a very nice 1,5 hour tour and paid NOK 22 per person). And I visited the cathedral and the other buildings once with a daughter and once with DH; absolutely worthwhile.
