  1. I only live 30 minutes away from Port Canaveral, so it’s pretty easy and cheaper to go on a 3 day cruise for the weekend. But I wouldn’t say I prefer them, the longer the better!. 3 Days just goes by too quick but it’s nice to do for just a little weekend getaway. As it would get expensive to do 7 Days more than once a year for me and I have trouble saving vacation time like that lol

  2. So I just realized I was booked on Premier Cruise. I get casino Premier Cruise offers all the time but usually just throw them away because they are never when I want to go. Is there anyway I can call Carnival and get the Premier benefits? Even though I didn’t book it with the Premier offer? I don’t care about reduced price of cabin. Just the other benefits.

    Thanks in advance

  3. Me. I started out on RC, then went to Carnival and never plan on going back. Yes, RC ships are nicer, and they have better shows. But I always have more fun in Carnival, everything stays open late, everyone is drinking and having a good time. The comedy shows are better and the parties are better. I guess I’m not looking for a relaxing cruise like I could get on RC, I’m looking for constant fun and party on Carnival.

One other plus for RC, no continuous shufflers in Casino.

  4. Most do not look up to see if others are looking at them.

This is what I was thinking. But honestly hey probably were. I had a balcony where I could look down on the walk way and I was always watching people do weird stuff. They had no idea I was standing there because they just simply never think about looking up. Pretty funny actually

  5. Carnival is more fun. I’ve been on Royal and had fun as well, but never as much fun as Carnival. The comedy is better, the trivia is better, 24 Hour pizza, and the casino stays open until at least 3am every night. Last time I went on Royal, they try to shut everything down by 1am. I got security called on us twice because we were having a night cap and talking on our balcony. Carnival just caters to my kind of fun

  6. Usually Carnival offers a snorkeling and beach excursion on a catamaran with unlimited rum punch, but I don’t see one this time. Is there a private one that does something similar?

Also, is the snorkeling good in Grand Turk or would it be better to do snorkeling in the DR or Curacao and just hit up the beach in Grand Turk?

    Thanks!

  7. I live about 30 minutes away from Port Canaveral, so that's my first choice always. But Tampa is only about an hour and a half, so that one isn't too bad. Convenience is most important. But I will be cruising out of Fort Lauderdale this year because I got an awesome deal for a Premier cruise, it's about a 3 hour drive. & planning a Southern Caribbean next year out of Miami, about a 3 & a half hour drive, by itinerary and ship is better than out of Port Canaveral. So I guess it's a mix of all factors. Only time I would fly to cruise would be to Europe, Hawaii or Alaska. But I'm guess I'm lucky I live in FL!

  8. I love a good burger. I rarely eat beef, and I crave cheeseburgers. So when I finally get one, I want it to be everything I've been lusting after.

Other than my very first Guy's, they've been a disappointment. Like I said, I don't want it so charred that it's like eating a chunk of charcoal with cheese on a bun!

Charred is good. Burnt is not.

I felt the same way. It seemed like it would've been a great burger, but the two times I tried it is was too burnt to eat. I would rather it be undercooked than burnt

  9.

Playa Palancar has no entrance fees. We were there last week for the 9th time and they do charge $5.00 if you want a cushion on your chair. We have never been asked to buy anything but we always get a drink or two. It was a $25 taxi ride each way from Puerta Maya pier however.

I second this. Great beach, not crowded. The restaurant and bar will serve you while relaxing in chairs on the beach. I would definitely go back again!
