Not sure where you are seeing 10 days before sailing.   I just tried finding it on their site.

Your cruise will not be listed until exactly 30 days prior do departure.    You will have plenty of time at 30 days as it is just step on and payment.   You then get a link to upload your test results about 6 days prior to departure.

I'm on the Silhouette and got the link a couple days ago.   I will not be able to complete until I am tested 2 days prior to sailing.

Ours is a little different though as we are not going to Bermuda first.  The instructions are confusing for alot of people regarding testing times.  We are also waiting to see what Celebrity says which until now we have heard nothing.

On S-Class,  cabin doors are recessed and open out toward the hallway while the closet is on a wall either beside the bed or sofa.  So it eliminates the bathroom door, closet doors and cabin door all opening into the same area.

Oh OK I didn't realize you were comparing M class with S class.  Thanks.

Just got off the 11-day Connie this morning.  I was amazed at how great a shape the ship was in.  New carpets throughout most all of the public areas.  Cabin had not been refreshed since ship never went thru dry dock but still in great shape.  One would never guess it was 20 years old.

I did miss having the closet away from the cabin door and bathroom door since it always creates a choke point.  We had one of the best house bands ever on a cruise called Long Play.  Service, food, entertainment all very good.

It's been awhile for us also.  I don't remember where the closet was when we sailed a few years ago but where is it now?

As noted above we are back on the Connie right now. Usually sail AS on 9 midships...

This time we are in AS on 11 aft. This room is significantly updated from the midship room we were in two sailings ago. We have a new safe (much larger, could probably put a laptop in there), new toilet, shower glass and fixtures in bathroom. Mattress is very comfortable and the balcony railing is freshly painted.

Internet is generally strong on this ship as we both work and do video calls several times a day (of course streaming is a must add on).

Did they still have the shower lines in the shower?

My wife and I are currently on the Edge in a Sky Suite and have been told that we do not have a drinks package included due to having some sort of discount. At no time were we informed that we needed to purchase a drinks package. All the advertising led us to believe we were covered with the "Always included" for drinks and wifi. Does this sound correct?

Has anyone else run in to this situation?

Just wondering if this ever got resolved for you.

Don’t worry about the pole. We have had both with and without. No big deal.
I do not remember loungers on the balcony in either.
Both are shower only… that’s good.

Both have bed and sofa facing forward.
Either suite is fine so go with the C and save some money.
    sheila

    Great and thanks!

  7. I forgot to ask if penthouse suites have loungers on the balcony.   We are looking at penthouse B 924 or penthouse C 833.  Has anyone stayed in either of these?   I could not find anything on the suite guru for those.  I read that some have a pole (or wall) next to the bed.   Any particulars to know about?

    Thanks for any information.

  8. Hi everybody.   Hope someone could help in deciding whether to book a penthouse on Mariner or just stay in a Concierge suite.  Can anyone tell the difference between penthouse B and C on Mariner?   The pictures I've seen look like the bathroom is small and the closet is also quite small.  It looks like all the space in the suite is in the section beyond where the bed is located.

Is the any advantage besides the extra space and a butler?

    Thanks.

Not sure about pas cruise list.

Our reservation dropped off our "My Celebrity" account exactly two weeks before we received our refund.  We didn't request any FCC.   I wrote to the celebrity engagement center when it dropped off and a very nice lady there told me it would take about 2 weeks to receive the refund and she was correct.

    Hope this helps.

Just checked and our canceled cruise is still on the past cruise list but without points.

    This is interesting.

Still waiting for refund for 4/11 Summit cruise. I still see the cruise listed in my Past Cruises.

For those who have received their refunds (or FCC’s) and have been made whole, have you found that your canceled cruise drops off this list? If so, it might be a way I can check that and then know my refund is forthcoming.

  11. Also received refund this morning for Summit 9 May and 6 June cruises.   Refunds came in 7 different amounts.  The 6 June cruise was deposit only as that is all that we had paid on it.

Hang in there folks.   We responded to the Celebrity e-mail the same day they cancelled each cruise.  The 9 May one was cancelled in March so it took almost 2 months to get our refund.  The June was only the deposit so they added it to the credit card with the May cruise.

    Agree 100 %

We pulled the plug early on our Summit May cruise  from Bayonne after  the final payment date  ...Under CWC,  we  had a 50% refund and 50% FCC..possibly now useless due to med note requirement.   Folks  who waited  just a bit longer got a 100% refund!   It may pay to wait....

Like many others, I am in the process of cancelling future cruises.  I was booked on B2B on the Constellation in October in a Celebrity Suite on both cruises.  When I contacted my travel agent to cancel them, I received an email stating:

"There will be a $200 penalty on each deposit, and then you will get a Future Cruise credit for the remaining balance. "

This didn't make sense to me because I didn't think they were booked with a non-refundable deposit.  I emailed the agent back and questioned the reason for the $200 penalty and FCC.  After several exchanges I received an email stating:

"All suites are booked under the Non-Refundable Deposit and incur these fees from the point of purchase.  This has been Celebrity’s policy for over a year."

Did I miss something?  Is this an accurate statement?

No where on my Celebrity confirmation does it say anything about a non-refundable deposit.  Normally, I would expect to see something about NRD in the PROMOTIONS section.

Has anyone else experience this issue?  I truly don't feel I should incur the $200 penalty and I am trying to decide if it is worth the effort to get it back.  Also, I called Celebrity to ask if they could confirm for me if they deposits were refundable or non-refundable and they said they couldn't tell me - I would need to talk to my travel agent.  I thought this was very weird that Celebrity couldn't - or wouldn't - answer such a simple question.

It's tricky depending on how they booked the suites.  When you look at the prices for the suites there are two prices, one being best value and one is a lower price.  I believe the best value one is the refundable suite and the one with the lower price is non-refundable.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.   We have two cruises booked on the Summit coming up and both were refundable.  When the price went down they wouldn't give it to us unless we agreed to a  non-refundable rate.

    Hope this helps.

I cancelled my mileage flight online with American on 15 March; called on 20 March to reinstate miles which were again available in my account on 22 March.  The $300 refund of taxes (business class flight from UK) appeared on my credit card today, 25 March.  No penalty fees.

With my flight to Sydney using 80K miles for the both of us, United charged me $250 to deposit the miles back into my account.  Gave me a full refund to my credit card for my upgrade to Economy Plus which cost around $700.  🍷

Thanks for the responses.  Looks like American is doing better by folks than United.

I just requested refunds using the Portal and it is pretty painless.   We may have taken the 125% FCC but on the Alaska April 30 cruise we were taking my sister and daughter and from what I understand from posting here is the FCC is issued in each person's name and not back to the original purchaser.

I tried to get my millage from United back to my account but the penalty is more than the tickets are worth.   I chose to cancel and re-book later at no fee so will see what happens.

Interested in seeing what happens with your United mileage since we are in the same boat with cancelling our flight which we got with mileage.

True, we're booked on the after this one and really was looking forward to the cruise on the new ship.  Disappointed sure, but like most say it's better to be safe than sorry.  Regent did the right thing along with other cruise lines.

We were also scheduled to sail on the 1 Apr cruise.  I can't even tell you how disappointed we are.  One good thing, though, is that if we went we were going to have to be screened when we got to NYC port.  The mayor there said no one was getting off a cruise ship in New York ports without being screened.  If anyone was sick we'd all have been quarantined.

I wonder if the re-branding of all suites to The Retreat will apply to all ships right away- or just E Class and those ships that have already been revolutionized?

I just looked up a cruise on the Summit and it doesn't show suites anymore when you go to select a cabin.  It now shows "the retreat."
