  1. Yes, Jolly beach is stunning, can’t wait to get back there in April😃 Castaways (now Bodog beach club) and Sandra are both a minute or two north walk of Jolly beach resort right on beach. Both on google maps btw
  2. Thank you for your fantastic review. We are on board in October and I have just started looking at stuff to see and do, so I’ve made heaps of notes from your review 😃 Don’t like taking ship excursions and I’ve realised NCL charge top dollar for these island especially! So again 👍👍👍for top tips for places to see and saving some $$ too😀
  3. We found most folks spruced up most nights on Celebration last year, especially chic night. I'll throw a cocktail dress in and go with the flow. Hubby only takes smart (all be it loud) shirts away anyway and if he wears a suit, I'll think he's going out to work 😟.
  4. We will be onboard Explorer 2 in Caribbean April for 2 weeks. Just wanted to know what night the Chic/Formal/Captains dinner may be. We were on Celebration in Med in Aug and it was our second night, sea day, just wondered if it followed suit. We were given invites to either a early or late dinner seating, is this the same too? Any info at all would be great thanks
  5. We stopped at Jolly Beach for time out and to check out resort(daughter staying April). Pool area and grounds looked nicely kept. They were bringing out iced water to guests on beach. That’s all I can comment on resort but the beach is stunning, pictures don’t do it justice. We chose to just hire sun beds out front of Castaways and get buckets of beer from there and SAN’s shack. Will be back again in couple of months 😁beach and swimming were amazing! CC786D11-2536-4CFD-99B6-5D0FED0D5D13.MOV
  6. Made our second trip down to Nelsons Dockyard in Nov, with another planned for April, the scenery down there never gets boring IMO. The entrance fee is cheap, also includes entry to Shirley Heights. We've been down there early ish from the ship, missing the hordes from the ships excursions. Easily arranged with the taxi despatchers on pier. Just tell them what you want to do and what time you want to be back and they will sort you out. Last time we did Nelsons, Shirley Heights, few photo stops, plus couple of hours on Jolly Beach and was still back by 2pm ish. $30/ 35 (?)each, just 5 of us in taxi. Seemed plenty of nice places to eat down near Nelsons dockyard. Castaways seemed popular for food while we were on beach, we didn't try but their beers were nicely chilled
