Since we have never done cheers in the past, our cheers offer (RU1) was really good.  It was only going to be $25 more per person for the entire five day cruise than the current early saver option. We don't drink, but at $25 for the whole cruise it may be worth it even for soft drinks and milkshakes and such. The internet offer (RU9) was not very good, but we get the internet packages on every cruise.

Looks like you got the best (ru1) offer. Best rate (over early saver) that I found was 129 more pp on a 4 day. My problem is I can get a free balcony on same cruise with DOU in the casino. LOL

Congrats on yours! Be well worth it at that price.

I had an Elite sailing booked once which I had to cancel. I was really looking forward to the "free drinks anywhere on the ship" feature.

Next one is an Ultra - "free drinks" only in the casino while playing. I've got $500 freeplay. I'll probably milk that as long as possible for the drinks benefit. Or just put in all on black and see what happens (then WALK)! lol

    I would go red!

Thank you, I'm gonna have to call, it's not listed. I have the lowest free cruise offer, the jackpot inside, and it looks like only short cruises or the pride transatlantic. Also I don't know why they are advertising mine as a free cruise since it is a $100 cruise with $100 pp non refundable obc.

I am pretty sure you can book more than one on that offer. Dont know if there is a max though. I just booked with a jackpot offer and I still have more I can book.

They've been doing that a lot lately. I just look at it like if I'm going to spend that much on board anyways it pretty much is free.

Thanks for sharing.  I just checked.  I have quite a few of these.  I bolded the ones that I share with you.  It's nice and all, but I'm not tempted.  I'll wait for Carnival to start sailing again before I book anything.

With the ones you have I don't blame you on waiting. I would too on those ones. I will be booking under a couple of the free offers I have though. Feel good enough about it being well over a year away and not much money involved.

Just booked a quick getaway on the Ecstacy for Sept 2022.  Balcony for $100 pp ( and I snagged an aft balcony for this price!), $200 OBC, $200 casino cash plus free cheers.  I couldn't believe it.  If hubbs doesn't want to go, Ima going solo😁

How could he say no to that! 😄

We have three cruises booked, all  fully comped from Casino offers. Mardi Gras in April '22 in a Cloud9 Spa Balcony!!!. A B2B on the Pride next year in Europe for a total of 21 days on the ship. Unfortunately I wasn't able to get the same Balcony cabin for both cruises but got the next best thing, the cabin next door. Was able to book the Pride on an Elite comp.

We have a B2B on the Freedom (casino offers and got same room) booked for March. Now we will be looking to maybe do another B2B in October with one of the current offers we have.

I know what you mean. When I was working, and had "disposable income", I had limited vacation time. Now that I'm retired, I have all the "vacation time" ( !), one could ask for, but don't have  the disposable income for all these offers!!!

The one good thing about no cruising and all this covid crap is I haven't been using much vacation time (nothing to do! LOL) and my best offers are for next year. Come January I'll have quite a bit saved up but it don't take long when you want to go on 4 or 5 week or longer cruises to burn through it.

I wanted to take the cheers offer, but I have three people in my cabin. Would have been nice.

The Cheers offer we got was not a great one (ocean view or higher cabin). I should say it is not terrible compared to like early saver pricing but when I look at the difference between it and casino offers there's quite a difference.

  10. So what do you all have for current offers from Carnival? I have so many right now it's crazy!

    Jackpot - free balcony

    Jackpot - free ocean view

    Premier Australia

    Post from paradise (free wifi)

    Free Cheers

    Ultra

    Premier Special edition

    Premier

    Premier Getaway

    Plan Now, play later

    Hot Streak

    Cinco De Mayo Early saver

    Mini vs Big cruise

    Halfmoon Cay Deal

    Sailabration

So many options and not enough vacation time!

Thats what happened in 2020. As soon as cases of covid appeared every person on board was quarantined in their cabin for the entire cruise and for quite some time after because they couldn't dock.

Last time I checked it's 2021 and a year later. There's a vaccine and treatments now unlike then.

How did my amenities thread go from Included Amenities or not to Vaccination discussion?  I was trying to make a thread to talk about something else instead of that lol. oh well back to the drawing board.....

The price of any persons cruise really depends on the offers they get. Casino offers obviously being some of the best. Not everyone will be the same on any given line. Too me the best way to compare would to just do a booking as someone who has never sailed.

That calculation was based upon the poster's scenario where the United States would wait for the completion of a 3 year trial to make the vaccine widely available. Yes I think 240,000,000 vaccinations including 82% of  Seniors and 55% of those over 18 is largely responsible for the current decrease in cases and deaths

I didn't go reread all the posts but I don't remember seeing where they said wait 3 years to make it widely available. Only that they would like more info on long term issues before "they" got the shot.

  14. 26 minutes ago, Stallion said:

...and in the interim we could have 580,000 deaths x 3 years= 1,740,000 deaths plus the number of persons who didn't die in the interim because they were vaccinated and protected. Not to mention the extended toll on the Country's economy due to further slowdowns over 3 years because we were waiting for a 3 year test program to conclude before the vaccination was given to the general public.

     Is that your logic?

Do you really think that we will have the same amount of deaths from the first year over the next 2? That's some warped logic.

Has anyone had any experience with the turn around time for Passport renewals since the virus hit?  Mine is good until February, 2022  but I don't want to wait until the last minute and not have it when I need it.

Plan on up to 3 months, however most people are getting them at around 6 weeks give or take.

I'm pretty sure if the cruise lines hold off until the pandemic is "officially" declared over, whatever is left of the cruise industry won't look very familiar. On the bright side, some vultures will be able to come in after the fact and feed on the carcass, picking up the pieces for a song!

I'm not sure you have been a member here long enough, have enough posts or have been on enough cruises for your opinion to count............😂

    Just joking with you!

I don't think the cruise lines could make it another year without some going under and others restructuring. You should be able to pick up a nice cruise ship for a decent price though if this keeps going!
