  1. I laugh when I see a free cruise on a casino offer. It's an oxymoron. I don't gamble, and I bet I have spent a whole lot less on my cruises overall, than those that get a "Free" cruise from the casino.

Now if somebody never gambles a penny and gets a free casino offer, then that's a deal.

others got it right when they said, it's really a pre-paid cruise.

Gambling is entertainment to some and they would gamble even if there were no free cruises. Getting a free one is just a bonus.

  2. Thanks for the reply! That's good to know! Both people have to get the points? Or can just one person get it and then bring their spouse along?

If you get an offer it will be for 2 people in an interior cabin. One or both of you could each get one, which would be 2 separate rooms for 2.

For example, me and my wife both got one. So I booked a room and she booked a room on the same cruise. I put my brother-in-law with me and she had her sister with her when we booked. Each room cost around $190. That is the taxes and port fees you have to pay. Once we got on board we went to guest services and just swapped rooms.

We also just could of booked 2 different cruises for just us. One under me and one under her.

  3. How much was everyone here playing daily in the casino? I'd just like a range to see what triggers the free offers from Carnival. Thanks!

Me and the wife usually bring $1500 each on a 7 day cruise to gamble with. The last two cruises neither of us really won anything big (a few hundred here and there) and we both got bounce back cruises. I can't remember exactly how many points I had but it was around 5000.

Guess it is 7,500 points. Doesn't really say if it's over time though.

  5. That's funny because my cruise on the Sunshine next March also had FTTF sold out since I booked in July. But as soon as the price increased it was made available. Very suspicious. I bought for now. But I'm really hoping they didn't increase the number available just to make more$$$

My cruise in January has been sold out all along and now it's available for $69.95 on the Splendor.

  6. I've been on 4 cruises since June 2015 (June 15, Nov 15, April 16 and June 16). I averaged about 5000 points (wife also about same) per cruise but never got to 7500 on one. Strange thing is I got the premier offer but my wife did not and I'm quite sure she had more points than me on every cruise.......lol

  7. I've been reading a few reviews on some premier casino cruises and was wondering if anyone had anymore insight to them? I'm booked on the Splendor for January 8th out of Miami on one. Seems like it should be a fun cruise.

Anyone been on one recently? How was it? Did they treat you well? Types of gifts/comps you may have received? Most of all, did you enjoy it?

  8. Not familiar with Carnival so please excuse me. I have searched this forum many different ways trying to determine drink prices and have not been greatly successful. Maybe I am not searching correctly.

This is what I think I have found. Cocktails at the Alchemy Bar are approx. $10 each,

beers tend to be $6 each,

coffee bar approx. $3.50 for a large and a couple bucks more for say a shot of Bailey's.

Simple cocktails like rum and coke $9.

    Sparkling water $$?

Am I in the right ballpark with these prices?

Also are the milkshakes I saw on the menu included?

Sorry if this has been beat to death previously my searches must suck. Thanks for your help.

You are pretty close for the most part. We buy 12 packs of water for $2.99 and some 4 packs of beer for $24 ahead of time and have it in our room when we get there. I always get the cheers program as it includes the good coffee, soda and booze.
