Cool Cruiser

Cool Cruiser (2/15)

  1. Thanks for your comments and input. And, they did not give us a ‘no additional cost option’.
  2. The upcharges were $600 for the non-stop and $450 for the one-stop option (plus the deviation fee of course). The air credit is $1500.
  3. Update on our air customization request: We submitted 5 different options, with the non-stop to Rome (in November) as our first choice. Two of our options came back with an upcharge, three were ‘not available’. We decided the upcharges were more than we wanted to pay, but were surprised and disappointed that none of our other options were even available. No options without an upcharge were suggested or offered. We will continue to consider options such as taking the air credit, while we investigate using miles or cash payment. Thanks for the suggestions and comments made on our original enquiry.
  4. Thanks for this information. Not too encouraging. The non-stop is of course our first choice so will see what they say. We have some back-up choices too. Appreciate the input.
  5. Well that’s very interesting. Thanks for the information. Will update when we learn more from Regent, appreciate any and all input.
  6. We are looking at an Air Canada flight non-stop to Rome. On the AC site, they have fully-refundable and refundable-for-a-fee fares. On ITA Matrix the fare class shows as C. Is that the refundable for a fee fare class, and if so, could anyone guess if Regent might contract for this, possibly with an upcharge?
  7. Couldn’t figure out how to link format directly, sorry. Input for Splendor #678 Category: G1 CC User name: 2rogues Date sailed: March 2024 Port side, Aft Sq.ft. cabin/balcony: 261/108 Bathroom: 1, shower only Noise issues: Thrusters when docking Recommend: Yes, good value for shorter cruises Comments/concerns: Nice large balcony, small closet, closet door needed a stopper from room steward to stay open when ship was underway, nice-sized shower, but hanging line too close to shower door, limited bathroom counter space, ‘hidden’ shelves behind mirror, easy access to gym and to starboard side through door at end of hallway, TV on bedroom-side, no swivel bracket to view from living area, good blue nightlight outside bathroom door, good drawer space in closet and living area
  8. I will try again. Thanks for posting, think you are on a cruise. Will work on a readable format….
  9. Splendor 678. Hope I’ve attached the file! Although we said we would recommend, we definitely prefer categories F and above, In this instance, we chose that category as value for money for an 10-day cruise, and particularly with the balcony size. Splendor suite 678.nmbtemplate
  10. We will fill in the form later, but just a quick response - these suites on the Splendor are noticeably smaller than the F categories, particularly the closet and the bathrooms. They are advertised as such but we were still surprised at the closet and bathroom size. The closet door needs a stopper to stay open. The balconies are very nice (and deep). Only 1 TV, bedroom only. The shower is a good size, but the hanging line is in a strange location, too close to the door.
  11. We had a guarantee for a January 5 sailing and were advised by our TA of the suite assignment on December 27. We are quite satisfied with the outcome. This is the 3rd guarantee we have booked on Regent and they have all turned out fine. Hope you have a good outcome as well.
  12. How do you find out if your cruise is eligible for the YWYW 25% discount?
  13. THX for your speedy reply…will check it out…. S & P
