Group policy may prevent his company laptop from connecting to unsecured wireless networks. His company likely does use a VPN or other application portal. I'll be on Sapphire in a few weeks and will bring my travel router with me. Hopefully it will work. Hoping even more I don't need to use it and can just unplug for two weeks!

Alcohol is taxed into oblivion in Ontario. At today's exchange rate that should be a $25 CAD bottle. Instead it is $35 CAD. Anyway, I've been reading with interest the changes experienced by cruisers on Celebrity. My first and only cruise with Celebrity was 5 years ago and I really enjoyed it. I didn't book with them for my first cruise since then coming up in January and probably won't in the future. Their pricing model seems to be out of control. Jim, I've enjoyed your latest adventure and wish you safe travels home. Can't wait to read about your next adventure in 2024.

Thanks for posting these shots. I just bought a used P950 for my January 20th Sapphire Antarctic cruise. I'll still be bringing my trusty Nikon D300 along but really wanted something with a longer reach.

I was just beyond the large building in the middle photo on the road that leads to Cherry Beach.

Thank you for your blog. I did enjoy reading it and it provided a great escape for me since it will be some time since I will be able to cruise again.
