  1. They're Monday- Friday, and this weekend kicks off Spring break for a lot of folks.
  2. Can you walk from the port to anything? Isn't this replacing Lahaina?
  3. Just pinpoint the time and find the sun. Guessing between 8:00 am and 9:00 am. I wouldn't rely on the ship. At all
  4. Wouldn't your phone show where you are, if it's going to be visible at all, then just adjust for time of the event? Also, it's going to be covered by Fox News/MSNBC (on your Princess stateroom TV), so you will know the time it's happening. Same with social media online. EVERYONE will be posting.
  5. Spoken like an LA tourist. Obvious you stuck to the tourist traps? So Cal is paradise.
  6. Queen! How do you make it a Love Boat with separate beds?
  7. This is from the Princess website. Anything else is hearsay. https://www.princess.com/en-us/news/news-releases/2023/11/sun-princess-will-mesmerize-guests Sounds like a lot of things aren't ready yet. This may be one of them.
  8. Good luck with that refund. We had lots of noise on our cruise in January, creaking, banging, etc on Discovery Princess. Very rough seas. It's a ship - it's supposed to have some give, that's just how ships are. Same on Majestic when we were near a Typhoon, our balcony door was closed and locked and still the whistling wind was loud, along with banging outside. Both times we put our white noise app as loud as it would go, and went to sleep. Problem solved. If you are looking for quiet, stay in a hotel on land. Just not New Orleans... 🙂
  9. Have your TA check daily for you.
  10. Too funny! Sure! LOL And start building the champagne waterfall in my suite too! Enjoy your cruise.
  11. Do you have more details? What was so bad about it? Did you go solo or with family or a group? We haven't gone on any buses in Alaska from a cruise port, so thinking you would see more on a cruise tour? Alaska is out of the way, and you're there for the scenery, not a five star experience at a hotel. Was the train supposed to take less time than listed on your itinerary? Were there delays?
  12. The exercise classes have always had a cost, so have some of the casual dining (Ocean Terrace, Planks, Steamers), the desserts have a cost too. A phone call is...free. The phone call for changing out a minibar or afternoon tea is free for elites. Again, our OPINION is if part of the suite perks is the ability to order off the MDR menu is included, so should the phone call to do so. We're really talking apples and oranges here. 😉 You say you order plus every cruise, so really no reason to be going back and forth over our opinion.
  13. We've sailed in a suite a grand total of two times, each time they were longer sailings and we didn't have plus due to cruises being really port intensive. Would we get a suite again? Probably not, and stick to our cheap guarantee cabins choosing the Plus option. Again, know what it says in writing, but it's still silly suites don't get an included room service perk.
  14. We do too. We like knowing our final bill. We don't shop, go to art, spa, etc.
  15. Yes, we know that. It's completely spelled out what is included. Does it make sense? No. Does it seem a little nickel and dimey on the part of Princess? Yes. In our OPINION it should be a suite perk. Ridiculous that it's not. Especially when the upgraded room service menu is a suite perk. They should go hand in hand with each other. Wonder what percentage of cruisers choose a suite, but sail without a Plus or Premier fare?
  16. Is room service included without Plus or Premier on Royal or Sphere class?
  17. It would have been charged when you ordered it.
  18. $15 per person per day, half of that if you're platinum/elite.
  19. Piazza The heartbeat of the ship, the Piazza on Sun Princess reflects an exciting evolution, surrounded by a multi-tiered sphere of glass offering expansive views as well as a wide selection of entertainment every voyage. Here guests can continue to enjoy beloved musical acts and performances, as well as favorite game shows and an elevated Champagne Waterfall event.
  20. Whatever happened to Matt O?
  21. We don't care if you've spent tens of thousands of dollars on the Sky Suite, it's FIVE DOLLARS PER CALL!
  22. Our cruise over Christmas and New Year's on Emerald in 2023 was close to sold out - Explorer's Lounge and Princess Theater, Piazza were packed, but that's how it is on most sailings, guests flock to the popular events. Buffet was very busy, but if you head to the back of the ship, we were able to get seating. We were also on the following sailing (did a B2B) with 1,000 less guests, and it was chill. Just pack your patience.
