  1. Hello once again....

Going for a few days precruise.  Staying at the Hilton Quebec. Any suggestions for food within walking distance and I mean close walking.  Bad knee here.  Also, looking for other foods but French food since I will have 3 days of eating there and do not want French food for all meals.  Thank you in advance.  You all have been very helpful on all my other questions.

  2. Another question from me...but you all give great answers and thanks!!

If I am flying from the Florida and have to stop in EWR then off to Quebec City, when do I go to customs?  Before I get my luggage at QC airport or after I get my luggage?  How long does the entire Customs process take?  First time ever flying into a non US airport.

  3. Just asking opinions....again.  Would you do two nights precruise before the cruise leaving out of Quebec City?  Or do you think that is a bit much with having an overnight before sailing anyway?  The airfare is $130 cheaper leaving for the two night precruise and I get the hotel for free using points.  But is there enough for me to do?

Just off the Caribbean, drydock will also include replacing all of the cabins carpeting. I attached photos of the old carpeting and the new. (one cabin had the new carpet due to a recent flood in the cabin)

I actually have a reservation for Hilton and Marriott right now, but Marriott is $100 less with govt rate.  My flight does not get in til midnight so I will not get to spend too much time there because just doing one overnight before cruise. Thank you for the info.   How far is each hotel from each other?

Ok, I changed my flight to get in about 330pm instead of midnight the day before the cruise leaves.  So in your opinion, do you think Hilton is better to stay at than Marriott for things closer to do by the hotel? Checking out the sites, dinner, etc.  Thanks for all of your help in advance.

What channels do they have?  I am not worried about premiums but wonder what they have for news, network entertainment and weather.

    Thanks!

    👀

Definitely Fox News...  BBC, I think MSNBC and cannot remember the others.

They're actually not that far from each other - maybe a 5-minute walk. The difference is that the Hilton is one side of the major boulevard connecting lower with upper town, a boulevard that you have to cross if you want to go see anything, whereas the Marriott is the other side - much easier if you want to do some walking/exploring that morning. If the prices were similar I'd call it a coin toss, but I personally wouldn't spend $100 extra for the Hilton over the Marriott, especially for just one night.

Thank you so much for the quick responses.  Much appreciated!!

  9. Thank you so much for the advice on the other hotels.  But getting back to the Hilton brand property.  I have so many points so I can stay for free. Is the hotel  close to anything or I am just basically in a hotel that is by nothing?  Then I will have to reconsider.
