Hard to imagine that people could get this worked up about the dress-code (either way!) for this to continue to be such a topic for discussion. In all of my time cruising I don't think I have ever cared one bit what other strangers are wearing. Any day on any cruise is better than a day at work, I guess I just like to focus on the good times at hand. It also could be the copious amounts of champagne that I am usually drinking.

We are boarding Apex tomorrow on the same itinerary as you mention above minus Scotland. I’ll keep you posted on weather and packing.

We are taking the 12 day rt Amsterdam in two weeks. We will be a group of 7 and love to have a predinner drink or two in a great bar (we like to keep it at a consistent spot). Any suggestions? Martini Bar? Craft social?

Same here, we have done it many times. Strangely, this time 3 of us are with a certain box box travel agent (begins with a C) and they 'hard-coded' us as a group reservation and it has caused all kinds of problems. The others can book things together but not the 3 of us calls to them and to Celebrity have been futile. Additionally we are coded as 6pm dinner seating when that isnt even an option on this sailing (everyone is anytime dining) so the three of us can't even go online to make a reservation for just us, system pushes back and says we can't due to our dining preference. UGH!! We will be boarding early and heading straight to restaurants to try to straighten this out. I am really concerned about our specialty restaurant reservations too.

Thanks - pre booking is not working because we can link our cabins together but since we used different TAs we can’t make any reservations together - it’s been maddening. We plan on going to the dining reservation place the minute we board to get this worked out.

We have a group of seven adults cruising, are there any of the four restaurants that would be easier to accommodate a table of this size?

Easier said than done - we are a group of 7 with luggage etc. we have private transfer from AmS to the port. Hoping we can get off and walk around, if not we will adjust.

We have a scheduled embarkation 'appointment' at 1PM on June 6 (in Rotterdam on the APEX). Wondering if we are able to embark, drop bags, then leave the ship for a couple of hours to explore. Anyone have experience with that?

Sorry - I thought you went last June. We are on the June 6th out of Rotterdam. We also have a sunset veranda. We are a group of 7 and we have 3 SVs and one single infinite veranda cabins.

Hi there - we are leaving on June 6 for the apex and have a SV cabin. Wondering if you could share how your trip was weather-wise and how much time you could actually spend on the balcony? I know every year is different but we have a bunch of sea days from AMS to Iceland then between Ireland and UK. thanks!

Someone made the suggestion to watch a youtube video for tips on how to get the most into the bag. I watched this one, it is excellent. Watch her folding/rolling technique starting around 1:00 in. She gets 21 items in the bag! I am going to try it in June!
