  1. I've just had what I believe is my final statement debited from my bank. However, I've still got 3 transactions pending and the money has been debited from my bank. This happened to me be before on a previous cruise, so I've emailed them to cross reference my statement. Worth checking your accounts as original post states
  2. i also found these online THE DINING CLUB (1).pdf THE DINING CLUB.pdf
  3. Does anyone have a sample menu from the dining club? Can't pre-book the restaurants at the moment on Explorer for the Canaries.
  4. Excursions now showing for me but still no restuarants
  5. I had some trouble cancelling it so had to email them and still had a screenshot on my computer. This is the only confirmation which is included in the booking confirmation, I had after purchasing of insurance via Marella. The Policy number, who was insured and premium price is below the bit I've cropped.
  6. I purchased mine thru Marella for my June cruise, the company were something to do with Axa. I cancelled a few days later as I found a better deal for me. If I remember correctly the policy number is amongst the confirmation email. The only attachment was a PDf of the policy booklet
  7. Thanks I messaged them too but I haven't had a reply yet. At least they aware of it and are looking at fixing it
  8. Has anyone going to Canaries in November got any options on their cruise control? No excursions available "Coming soon" it says and despite it saying 2 speciality restaurants' available to pre book on main screen when you click on a day you get a message saying "not yet available to book on chosen date". Don't know if its cos its one of first sailings of the winter season but surely Marella would have all this sorted or is it a technical issue? When I booked my Med cruise all this available on booking
  9. Cruised in late June, anything we needed for the morning departure we left out. There was plenty of time to transfer anything that needed putting back into the hold case before boarding coach for airport.
  10. Sailed Discovery in middle of June, the Captain was Chris Douglas. The resident band I think they were called Muzzik Unlimited. There were two girls who were the resident piano players, a guitarist called Keiron?, there was another band wh we saw a couple of times in the live room too.
  11. Hi What's the difference between the cabins under "more options" that are slightly cheaper when selecting your cabin? Would I be right in thinking that there would be two seperate beds as shown in some pictures? There's a lack of midship cabins under the default outside cabins and those are only interconnecting which I do not fancy. If there the reason is down to as I suggested two single beds instead of two-together to form queen, then no problem. Thanks
  12. Cruised last month, I thought there wasn't much selection in the buffet restaurant compared to previous cruises. However, we only ate there 5 times approx for breakfast and lunch. Majority of time we ate in the waiter service and speciality, where you couldn't fault the standards. Dress code no different to any other years I've been, I think what people need to realise that the world is changing whether its dining on a cruise, at a hotel or your local town/city centre.
  13. Their latest post on Instagram confirmed the return to Asia. A brief video just mentioning Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Oman and India
  14. Euro Cruiser I probably wouldn't do anything any differently TBH I think the description of the excursion is very misleading. Most on the trip were expecting us to be on a private open deck boat, so that everyone could enjoy the views when sailing down to Positano and back. If they mentioned the use of the fast ferries I wouldn't be put off but I know more of what to expect. I did manage to get on the top deck on the return trip so I did enjoy the views without any obstructions. As mentioned Positano did live up to the expectations. We had around 5 hours there in total, so we had plenty time to take in the views from the higher ground, explore, have a little nose in the shops and grab a nice meal at one of the restaurants. I suppose another positive going through Marella was that you have priority boarding of the tenders to shore if you are on Marella booked excursion. So if we did go independently, we may have had less time ashore but we were last excursion of the ship after meeting in the Broadway lounge. So I guessing those who were going ashore independently wouldn't have been far behind us anyway.
  15. Just a word of warning about this excursion...... The write up on Marella's website seems to imply that you will travelling to Positano from Sorrento on a nice boat allowing all guests breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast. This is not the case, they use the local fast ferries, so obviously there will be locals and other tourists on board. When our tender boat arrived, the top deck of the ferry was full, which left the bottom deck left. We were lucky to have a restricted view through a window but there were loads who were stuck in the middle rows offering no views whatsoever. On the return trip we managed to get on the top deck and the views back to Sorrento were fantastic. In hindsight maybe you can do this trip yourself for cheaper as all Marella are doing is buying you the tickets. There was "tour guide" as such but all she did was hold up the paddle and give you your tickets at the docks in Sorrento and Positano. Quite a few people were disappointed as your paying just for a ferry service, and they did not get the scenic views that was to be expected and described by Marella on the excursions website. I wouldn't want this put anyone off booking this tour tho as Positano is breathtaking plus you do get security that its booked via Marella. If you do go independently its worth noting the ship wont wait for you if your late back. The transfers were about 1hr each way leaving Sorrento at 10:30 and returning 15:30 giving you 5hrs free time in Positano.
  16. Ok, back from from my cruise. This excursion left a few people disappointed with the mode of transportation as it was the local fast ferries. Not exactly the "dreaming by boat" as Marella describe the trip. As its the ferry used obviously there are locals and other tourists on board. Due to this quite a lot of the people on the trip didn't have fantastic views on route as the only seats available to them on the ferry were on the bottom deck and middle rows of the ship. Basically you are paying for the ferry service to Positano, nothing extra. Positano itself was breathtaking
  17. Discovery seemed to run out of Pina Colada's alot last week. Something that I never seen on the menus, but the staff who went around decks 10 & 9 serving drinks from the trolleys had 330ml cans of Tuborg & Amstel
  18. There is also an USB port under the main mirror in my Discovery cabin
  19. I had this email today despite entering the info a while back, flying next week. I just went into the "Add Passport Information" page, clicked "Submit and Return to Booking". I now have a green tick as shown in Rebels post 👍
  20. Thank you, blue towels ring a bell now lol
  21. Hi all I know the FAQ on the Marella website say pool towels are provided on board but as its been a while since my last cruise with Marella and I can't remember whether I've used them or if they were indeed supplied. Could somebody confirm that this is the case or will I need to pack my own? Cheers
  22. Im due to fly 21st June, the Chronomics website is now accepting my booking reference. So I can can now purchase the pre-flight LFTs. Just thought I'd mention this as it seemed to be brought up a lot and with Marella said it would be 14 days before departure before you could buy the kits.
  23. Thanks for the input all. I've decided to go ahead with the boat trip to Positano. I was swaying towards that anyway and the input on here has confirmed my decision. I will to a quick review once I've been on the cruise and done the tour, just in case anyone is looking in future.
  24. Hi I'm scheduled to stop at Sorrento on my forthcoming cruise, having already docked at Naples a few years ago I've already visited Sorrento itself and Pompeii. Looking at what Marella are offering I'm undecided between a boat tour to Positano or bus tour to Amalfi. It's a shame that they don't provide a tour that would take me to both. Any one had any experience of either of these tours with Marella or what provider they use? As usual the description of the tours on the Marella cruise's is very brief. What would people who been to both places recommend. Both offer breathtaking views and I would sway towards Positano myself as I'm would think the scenery cruising on a boat would outdo these from the land on bus. I also believe (could be wrong) but the postcard view of the houses on the cliff is of Positano? I'm also aware I could book my own tour and take in both places but as its a cruise I like the security that if you book through the cruise provider, the ship wont go with out lol.
