$150 per person for the Chefs Table
EarloftheSeas replied to Mt Lassen's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
As of today, the Chef's Table has been reduced to $119 pp, for my upcoming Firenze sailing. It still notes the upgraded experience available on sailings on Panorama, Firenze or Venezia. -
If you could bring back any Carnival ship...
EarloftheSeas replied to CarnivalShips480's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Yes, Good Old 'Madge! -
Carnival Firenze itineraries- underwhelming.
EarloftheSeas replied to Jamman54's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I booked a nice portal deal on a 6-night, with two long days in Cabo San Lucas, sandwiched by seadays and then Friday in Ensenada. This is a perfect itinerary from a local SoCal perspective. Very excited to do this with the Italian flair! -
Sorry, I don't consider myself "entitled" for bringing small mustache/beard scissors. I have a very nice tight beard and I want it to look good beyond day 1 of the cruise. Men's hair grows fast when you get old, and not where it's needed!! LOL!!

Question about Cucina del Capitano on Radiance
EarloftheSeas replied to Bollycats's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I had it on embarkation day lunch this past June and was able to use the checklist for the items I wanted. -
Which LA port does Carnival sail from?
EarloftheSeas replied to KKB's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
" 328 July 24, 2018 Redlands #11 Posted 12 hours ago It is the Port of Los Angeles (or is that San Pedro?)" Port of Los Angeles - San Pedro is part of LA City. Speaking of, the local (mis)pronunciation is: "San Peedro." LOL! -
The timestamp on my pasta lunch pic from there says 11:46am!! I got on the ship early and that was my second stop (after the red frog rum bar....hehehe.) 🙂 I hope you have an amazing cruise!! In my book, there's nothing like a big family cruise. So nice to have dinner together each night. Enjoy!! 🙂

One more time… LIVE from the Carnival Liberty 7/11/22
EarloftheSeas replied to MeganGC1983's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Thank you so much for this thread -- pure joy and fun!! -
If I'm not mistaken (someone will correct, I'm sure) the dry dock is for a propulsion issue. The 2015 drydock added a Red Frog Pub, Alchemy Bar and Cherry on Top -- more recently (2020) Guy's Burgers and Blue Iguana were added to the lido deck, along with Blue Iguana Tequila Bar and Red Frog Rum Bar. And waterworks was upgraded with an amazing plunge slide! Enjoy your cruise. Miracle was my first cruise in 2015 for a big family wedding and always holds a special place in my heart!

Miss the days of aft pools being adult only!
EarloftheSeas replied to pe4all's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Even though it's not adults-only, on my two Radiance cruises, it seems most kids were at the Lido pool, in spite of those delicious Shaq's chicken tenders in the aft! -
Heads up on pre-cruise COVID testing if traveling soon
EarloftheSeas replied to KKB's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Tell me about it!! The better half allowed my June 27th solo cruise. I and many others got it. Happily, nothing much, but a few worn-out/tired nights. (Fully vaxed and second booster 60 days prior to cruise.) But, imagine bringing the "STD" home on your own. Yikes! At least it didn't spread at home. But, I think my chances of going it alone (ha, maybe even together) are not looking good in the near term. Since early 2020, I have traveled and cruised (since late 2021) freely with time-required precautions and avoided it until now. I can't imagine what havoc this current variant could cause if testing and vax requirements had been lifted. -
Carnival Radiance June 27-July 1 Observations & Thoughts

Yes, that had to be the smoothest departure from Ensenada I've ever experienced. Great cruise!! -
Tips for first time interior room after 4 balcony cruises.
EarloftheSeas replied to tweak89's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Early riser here -- and I start waking and dozing for a few hours before I get up. I always take a lighted digital clock when I'm in an inside cabin. Very easy to see what time it is no matter how dark -- and go back to sleep, or get up, accordingly. -
The Sail and Sign kiosks also make can break down larger bills to smaller.

Fahrenheit 555 opinions?
EarloftheSeas replied to havanadaydreaming's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
I've done it many times and have always thoroughly enjoyed it. I think it's one up-charge item everyone should consider. I prefer to do it night one -- otherwise I will be so full of everything else on the ship! As Maryann2 mentioned, it's a great way to celebrate being back at sea! -
your favorite buffet item?
EarloftheSeas replied to havanadaydreaming's topic in Carnival Cruise Lines
Before Guy's and now Shaq's, my go-to embarkation lunch was the yankee pot roast at the buffet. It was always pretty decent. I haven't seen/looked for that one in quite a while. -
Happy Anniversary! Enjoy!
