I don’t understand that. What does this mean? Why cashback?
That your agent clearly does not know MSC well; they are not going to bump someone from a Fantastica Balcony with a bid on Aurea Whirlpool to Yacht Club Inside.... 🤷♀️ So the poster hopes that, at least, you got some nice on board credit from your travel agent instead (given their lack of product knowledge)

Hello,
I need to contact MSC about an existing reservation. What is the email address I should use?
Thanks
You are better off calling... even though your results may vary on what kind of help you get.

@harbourxie I Was in Flam last week on this itinerary. Yes, the train station is only a few minutes away but the train starts to board a good 10 minutes before it leaves. You will NOT make it. You can cancel your tickets and get a full refund -- they will NOT be honored later in the day. (I asked because I was in the same predicament).
What happened to me is that the middle of the day slots were all booked up with the exception of the 8am or 3pm. About 14 days before the cruise the "mid day" slots opened up -- basically MSC puts a huge reserve on the 10am/12noon times which they reserve for excursions (at a 150% markup). They then release them to the public.
Look daily and I bet (fingers crossed) that you can snag a later train.

I'm going to follow this. I see people who say, "I went to Europe for an 11-month odyssey and brought everything I needed in a manila envelope." Really?! How am I supposed to pack for cold weather, formal nights, layers in case it's warm, rainy weather, and more in a carry-on suitcase?
This is my *Favorite Comment Ever*!!! And what if you significant other happens to be a rather tall, slightly fluffy American man? It's not like the size 4 teenie weenie girls who can stuff everything into a backpack? Heck, hubbies shoes must weigh a couple pounds 🙂

Just returned from the Euribia, Norway. All I can say is that it's 100% true that you can get all 4 seasons in one day! Cold and drizzly in the morning, but by late afternoon there were folks out sunbathing! DH and I completely overpacked and regretted it when lugging our suitcases back yesterday.

Just returned yesterday. I NEVER needed to exchange to DKK but I also had an issue using AMEX in a number of places. Thankfully I also had a Visa a as a backup.

Hello. Has anyone here ever wire transferred money to MSC and having them wire it back to you at the end of the cruise? I don't see any reference to them accepting wire transfers on their website. Alternatively, is there a spot to visit customs agents on embarkation day so that I can properly declare cash that I'm carrying?
For Gambling large sums???

You may be turned away if you wear shorts at dinner while sailing in Europe. On the menus, they do not change very often, unfortunately.

Thank you! So, they dont have an unlimited laundry package, or a per bag deal? Just a "per piece" deal? Does a pair of socks count as one or two pieces, and socks, or a pair of underwear counts the same as a pair of pants or a jacket? Seems strange.
No unlimited, and no "bag" deal. Yes, a pair of socks counts as "1", so does a bra or underwear, or a pair of jeans 😲 No one said it has to make sense but that's the way they do it.

You won't be able to book from say, the Italian, site because the country code will autopopulate as Italy. Same with the other sites. Call a travel agent to help you. The insurance should be optional.

MSC website is poor, at best. You can just upgrade one device, but you will have to do so onboard.
The prices for laundry may not be set - or they might change the packages a year out.

Once Explorer Journeys starts regular stops at the island it might be....

Well with more ships sailing this will just be logistically impossible. You can only have one ship in port, unlike Cozumel, for example. Everyone wants a day there so the overnights are likely a thing of the past.

Book a YC interior cabin and then keep fingers crossed for a free upgrade, or put in a minimum bid up price, you might be pleasantly surprised.
free upgrade? bwhahahaahh

Barcelona is the easiest by far, IMO, but Rome is also a great option if you have time to tack on before/after since you can easily spend another week there.

We leave for Norway on the Euribia next week and (not young) hubby and myself crack up every time we say FEEEE-YOOORD 🙂

OMG< Totally agree!! Had the SAME interaction with Concierge William in February. He literally lied to me outright!! One the 2nd day of the cruise I asked him why I did not have pringles/toblerone/etc in mini bar. (Yes, it's minor but I Love it). He lied and said that "Corporate would not be providing anymore." I asked when this happened and he said "as of yesterday when you boarded." It was 100% BS. I did get it squared out with Melania who is lovely but he needs to go!!

Presently we have the same itinerary booked for Jan 2025. My feeing right now (subject to change of course) is that I'll absorb the non-refundable deposit and do the same itineray I did on Carnival instead.
@MsTabbyKats Others have reported moving their non refundable YC booking deposit to a new cruise (using their one free cruise move) but NOT in a YC cabin. Then cancelling that far enough out to not have any penalty and get a refund. Seems worth a try other than just losing the $398

@JamieLogical pro tip from Flight Attendants - put ONE of the shoes you intend to wear disembarking IN THE SAFE (you can wrap it in the provided shower cap if needed). Set one shoe out and when you are getting ready to leave you won't forget to check the safe.
