I just made my packing list too. Radiance 6/16 to Alaska. My 16th Cruise, 2nd to Alaska and I'm STILL wondering what to pack. I get cold or hot easily. I never dress formally. Sparkly top and black pants and I'm good.

Strong magnetic hooks from Amazon. These things are great. Very Strong, I've been giving these to all my cruise friends. Small bills for tipping taxis, porters, etc.
I've heard you should take half as many clothes and twice as much money. I overpack but oh well!

I agree with Razzalia. The scrapbook workshops on board are dismal. Usually taught by someone with little to no experience and poor materials. (Yup, Elmers glue and Construction Paper) I did buy scrapbook embellishments in the photo shopping area. So, take great pictures and scrap when you get home!

I called Air to Sea, they couldn't help me and said 30 min was fine. (Unless I pay change fee) They did give me their emergency number for the inevitable re booking. RCCL themselves gave me no more info to help. I called Delta and they said they don't know there will be cart available or not. (I like the idea of handing the driver $20.00 to get me to my gate quickly if needed. I will resign myself to knowing RCCL is responsible to get me to Vancouver. This is why I fly in a day early. Thanks everyone, if you have anymore good ideas let me know!

Thanks for the helpful ideas everyone. We are seated in first class so getting off first is doable. I will make phone calls today!

Choice Air took care of my flights. They insist that 30 minutes is fine to change planes. (Minneapolis) Heading to Vancouver. Fortunately I am flying in a day early plus early in the day. I am also lucky to be seated in row 1 so will be first off flight.
That being said I am nervous as heck about making that flight to Vancouver. Any suggestions? I emailed airport to ask about golf cart but no response. I don't need a wheelchair but I'm no spring chicken
Thanks,
Myra

Worth every dime! Love it, plus they print your boarding passes for you as well. I wish all the ports had this service.

I thought so on my last cruise in Feb. On Formal night we ended up there for dessert. There was a mountain of boiled shrimp. Really looked good.

October 2018 on Symphony. 500+ days till embarkation lol. I hate booking even a year in advance but I have friends who need to be motivated to save for Europe! (I am going in 29 days to Alaska to ease my pain!)

I'm going on the Symphony 10/2018. I was told that Suite was 12000. Still too much $. I booked 2 connecting rooms.

I've never had a problem in the cabin. Passports and Wallets go in safe. However my Ex hubby lost an IPad on disembarkation in our lounge we waited in. He accidentally left it behind, never to be seen again.

I've not been on Allure, but on Oasis we had a cabin just off Central Park and loved it. Even on such a huge ship it was quick to get places by cutting through the park. At night there are different performers. There was also Park Cafe for the infamous roast beef sandwiches, a few specialty shops. (I bought a Coach wallet that reminds me of vacation every day) Whatever you decide, have a great cruise!

Was on third party site, should I book directly instead?

All the hotels listed in Vancouver say No payment now, pay at the property. I do not want the price to jump dramatically when we get there. Advice welcome.

We were on the Navigator with you. I agree completely with your review. The food just wasn't very good. My (adult) son did order off the kids menu a few times, especially for their dessert. We had set reservations at My Time Dining, it was a disaster every night. We asked for same table every nite and were refused. They kept putting us at tables with poor service. I prefer set dining but even a year in advance could not get traditional dining. Had a blast playing Trivia, won quite a few times. Hilighters anyone? All in all though, still had a great time.

Embarkation for us was a breeze. Went quickly. Had to wait a few minutes for ship to be cleared. We were on by 11. Got our luggage about 1530. It was down the hall so grabbed it and was unpacked before Muster Drill.Had a problem getting medical fridge we had requested a few mos ago. 3 days in we now have it. Our cabin Stewards are doing a good job. The food is just ok but there is a lot of variety. Our Servers at dinner are fantastic. So far so good. We are enjoyin meeting new people as usual. This is my 15th Cruise and having fun.

I'm looking forward to the rest of your review as well. I will be on the Navigator 2/3/17, and again on 6/16/17 to Alaska.

I too appreciate your review. Will be sailing on her 2/3 as well. My first cruise longer than 7 nights! I always take reviews with a grain of salt. I am a bit concerned about Main dining room. Thanks for your review!

1. Fly in a day early, then also always take first flight of the day
2. Drink a toast to my late parents who instilled this lovely passion of cruising and travel. (Bless them they have enabled me to continue to cruise)
3. When crossing the gangway I always get a little teary, so excited.
4. Nightly trivia in Schooner Bar, always Love and Marriage and The Quest.
5. Find a favorite bartender, usually in the piano bar or Schooner, take good care of them as the week goes on, ie tipping.
6. Meet as many new people as possible. Invite people to sit with you at breakfast or lunch. Where else can you start a lovely conversation with "Where are you from?"

I'm sailing on Navigator 9 nights in early February. So excited, love hearing about this ship. I am also Sailing on her again in June to Alaska. Thx for any and all info

I also have the ship ornaments from nearly all the ships. If they are sold out I get a Keychain of the ship. One of the Cruise staff suggested using them when we were all trying to win the coveted "Rubberized, Vulcanized, Royals Caribbean keychain". I get them from each new Port as well. Tiny, inexpensive and easy to pack. (Less than 45 days till Cruise #15!)

I always take an extension cord of my own just in case. That being said, the Cruise Line is happy to get you an extension cord. My ex and I both used CPAP on cruises. By the way, have a blast on your trip!!!💦

It is hit and miss. 2 years ago we could see all the playoff games for baseball. Last year not a chance. I emailed the Concierge. The problem was that last year our games were on FS1 instead of ESPN which the ship had. I still have happy memories of 2014 watching the KC Royals play. We watched 1/2 an inning then ran out to look at the wake. Repeated entire game. The other 2500 passengers were downstairs doing the macarena, we watched baseball! It was a blast.

Welcome to Cruising! Was on the Liberty in Feb, beautiful ship. Go for a walk on deck every evening. Make sure to see at least 1 sunrise and sunset. If you are eating in the Windjammer buffet, share your table with others and meet people. You are about to enter into a lifelong adventure to cruise as much as possible.
Medical refrigerator questions
in Royal Caribbean International
Posted
This past Feb on Navigator, we had requested a medical refrigerator ahead of time. Onboard, no fridge. After several requests the told us to give insulin to Housekeeping and call them. 4x a day? Nope. Then we were told to put it on ice. Then they brought us a tiny cooler. (Worked about as well as the regular coolers) After several days and discussions about this, finally we received a small plug in fridge. That worked. This was a frustrating process, especially since had informed RCCL early it was needed. I also told the folks onboard if they couldn't fulfill our request I would take it to the medical facilities and bother them QID.
