We enjoy Rusty’s especially the bacon wrapped scallops. Millie s was just so so. Fish lips was too loud. Going to try Grills next. Lots of good recommendations. The best seafood we have had was at Atlantic Seafood. It is small and not flashy, but the fish was the freshest. You really can’t go wrong at the cove. The observation tower is worth a look too. Cheers!

The B hotel has some food options. It is not close to anything if impaired. An Uber can get you to anything you may need. I highly recommend the Marina Deli in the open shopping center were Staples is on 17th St. Authentic NY deli. Reasonably priced too and real bagels. Good beach location. Stay there regularly.

As a Ft. Lauderdale native I would say Southport raw bar (more affordable) or 15th street fisheries (a bit more expensive) ... both are great seafood restaurants and right by 17th Street

Love the handle.
The big guy at the window bar at Southport was recruited by Bobby. Did something stupid and had his scholarship pulled. Bobby B made sure he got a spot at Missouri I think.

Dive bar where 50 year locals eat = Southport.
Quarterdeck a distant but passable #2.

Renaissance 17th St.

Yes. POM has great parking. Off site is sketchy at best.

Newly renovated. A classic hotel from the 60s. Used to be called the Yankee Clipper. The original bar with view of the bottom of the pool is still there as is the mermaid show. Good restaurants a short walk or cab ride. Causal, we like Quarterdeck. A little nicer we like Casablanca Cafe. Lots of stuff nearby. A great property in my opinion.

Casablanca Cafe On A1A.

Several US Navy Ships have collided with other ships recently. If the best of the best can screw up, than so can a cruise ship crew.
Never mind the always present fire danger.
Discount safety at your own peril.

Gripe all you want. Follow the rules. If you attended and don’t need it, no big deal. If you didn’t attend and need it, big big deal.

Hilton Marina or Renaissance both on 17th and very close to the port!

I second that.

Renaissance on 17th St. Google and call directly. Great property with lots of stuff within walking distance.

Good restaurants in the port and the observation tower is interesting. Take a cab to Titusville airport and visit the aviation museum there. Kennedy Space Center is always interesting.

Nice review. I have nothing bad to say about Royal. I just can’t bring myself to cruise with 6000 passengers.

The last time we were at Labadee on RCCL, there was so much trash on the ocean side that it was impossible to go in the water without having to dodge thousands of pieces of plastic. This was after the earthquake and most of the trash was emergency water bags. Sadly, Haiti is the poorest and most mismanaged country in the Western Hemisphere. I wouldn't go back. Don't even want to get started about Cap Haiten on the east side of the hill.

Goombay smash.

I highly recommend the Southport Raw Bar. A fifty year old institution dive bar mostly for locals. On Cordova Dr. Quarterdeck across the street is good too.

I couldn't have said it better. If CruiseCritic is any indication of the majority of X cruisers' date=' the decline will be faster and WILL be coming. X is going to lose many customers to the higher end lines if the trend toward this decline continues. Many have chosen Celebrity for it's refined elegance, but many on here seem to think that "evening chic" can be interpreted in any way they choose. Including football shirts, shorts, and even hats in the dining room.
Carnival is a nice product for their demographic and for pricing. However, what I am observing is the lushes are "jumping ship" (excuse the bad pun) to Celebrity for the drink package.
It's sad, but then again it's always about money, and I guess Celebrity cares more about the bottom line profit than about refinement and elegance.[/quote']
Well said. Bravo.
My children wear what their parents tell them to wear. We are also not their "friends". Since the rules are known ahead of time, we strictly conform. I pay extra to be on a ship that doesn't resemble a Walmart free for all.

Maybe, the OP had horrible ugly feet and the hostess was doing her a favor. I'm not saying, I am just saying.

Are shorts allowed for lunch in Luminae on embarkation day?

Not a good omen.
There is zero chance Brightline succeeds without MASSIVE government subsidies.
