  1. Are you talking about Frank. Over on University Boulevard. Frank died. His store was called strand number two. But they were not affiliated.

Or are you referring to Frankies liquor on Strand. Which has been for sale for a long time. But it was not closed. Are you saying it is now closed?

  2. Frankie's liquor.

    2218 Strand.

You can walk to it from the cruise terminal.

Not sure of the wine selection. We don't shop there. I might stop in once a year for an emergency. But they do sell it. But everything they sell is very expensive. The place is for sale. And has been for a very long time. So if you know you're going to walk there. I would call ahead first.409-765-6520

  3. They left for more than a single reason.City council also wanted to control the rates charged. Control how many cars an Uber driver could have. And a number of other of other regulations. They provide a great service to every community it's in.I hope they come back to Galveston.

We used them all the time, when they were here. But when they left,we purchased a golf cart. So it doesn't affect me one way or the other. But it would be nice for our visitors to be able to have a nice service like that.

  4. I saw a lady pick up bread with her hands in the buffet line, look at it and then put it back. I told one of the guys behind and he took all of it away.

I also saw a lady carrying her young child in the pool with just a diaper on (the kid, not the lady LOL) despite all the signs saying you can't do that. They had been in for a while, that diaper probably weighed 10 pounds. That is why I don't do pools or hot tubs on a cruise.

I refuse to do pools.Always have and always will. And I was just proved right the other day.The wife and I were sitting on the Lido deck, overlooking the hot tub. Everybody got out of the hot tub pretty quickly. Someone left a big hard turd in there. And there was no kids in there. Just adults. So that force them to drain both hot tubs for about 6 hours. I had never seen it before in my lifetime. But that's a true story That is messed up. 🤢😷

  5. I only posted restaurants that are open on Sunday. Otherwise I would have put Rudy and Paco.

I purposely didn't put Saltwater Grill on there. The last couple times I've been there.I haven't been too impressed. It seems like some of the service was better in the past. Plus it gets extremely loud and crowded. And it's hot in the summer time. I just didn't want to send a first-timer from out of town to a place like that.

  6. Ok whatever...I don't drink beer anyway.

I stick with hard liquor that is smuggled across the border and onto the ship. And illegal cigars rolled by peasants. Other that that I never break the rules.

I was standing right there on the Lido deck, when the warning went out.

I think the thread has been hijacked😞

  7. I like using the casino lanyard (more like a springy coil) when I'm wearing shorts or pants that have belt loops - it clicks on and is easy to use to get into the cabin or to put in the slot machine. However, I like most women, do not have the option of pockets or belt loops when wearing "night-time" wear. The springy lanyard does look a little off if you're wearing it around your neck and you're dressed nice - kind of takes away the "look."

This year I ordered the nice necklace-looking lanyards on Amazon - they have them in different styles and they really do look like a necklace - to wear in the evening. We'll see how they work out for us.

I don't carry a purse and I would never want to fish the S&S card out of my bra or bathing suit - that just seems nasty and gross. So, lanyard it is & if it bugs you, look away!!

I don't think Carnival wants me to fish out my S&S card out of my bathing suit either.😨😨

  8. Mr Sanchos is a great bargain in Cozumel. You can pay 50 or $55 And it's all the food and all the drinks and the beach you can handle. If you make it there, try the coconut shrimp. They are excellent. They're jumbo and they keep bringing them to you, as many as you can eat. You have to pay for your own ride to get there. The lines can be painfully long waiting for a cab. So we always go out to the main street and walk down the block or so and get our own cab. I don't think there's a better bargain out there.

Mahogany Bay is not a bad deal you could book that through Carnival. And just come and go off the ship as you please all day.

Belize takes planning. Lots of planning. We don't go on the mainland we just go out for snorkeling to Cay Caulker. You have to catch a ferry ride out there. It's 45 minutes one way and 45 minutes back. But if you plan just right, you can have the time of your life, snorkeling out there on the reef. We always book through Caveman Snorkeling.
