  1. I have see info on here about Cabin Crawl's. My hubby and I have been on 8 cruises and have not seen or heard about this. Would someone please tell me how we can be sure to partake on our next cruise?

    Thanks so much!

#1 Join the roll call for your cruise. You can find the roll call boards under Community, Forums. Then locate your ship and sail date.

#2 See if someone has already organized a cabin crawl. Then, you can just indicate that you would like to participate.

#3 If no crawl has been planned you can suggest and/or organize one.

    Have fun!

  2. Long time cruiser......25+ with Carnival and Royal......my first NCL sailing will be on the Epic week of December 7th....some random questions I have:

    1. will the ship be decorated for Xmas for this sailing?

    2. with new changes to smoking policy, where can one still smoke?

    3. what changes can we expect over the other 2 lines I have sailed?

Any and all input from NCL experts would be appreciated!!

We sailed on Epic 12/14/2013 and found some of the decorations already up plus more in progress. There were some trees and lights when we boarded but many more touches were being added throughout the week, such as gingerbread villages.

  3. Hello everyone,

Headed out on Brilliance in March for my first cruise ever! So excited!! Does anyone know how much money they freeze on your credit card per day?

I use a regular credit card. Not a debit card. I have not had problems with my account being frozen

Secondly, I saw the post where everyone was posting what shows were playing on which ship, but there is no where for me to sign up and pay for any shows yet for my cruise? How long before that becomes available.

To my knowledge there are no for a fee shows on Brilliance.

    Thanks so much.

    Happy cruising!

  4. Hope to do the Med cruises one day. I want to see Barcelona, Venice, Greek Isles.

We did a great B2B a couple of years ago on Brilliance. 7 nights RT from Copenhagen to the Baltic Capitals followed by 7 night Norwegian Fjords RT from Copenhagen

That was an amazingly beautiful experience..

  5. Ok, so I have roughly 130000 points to redeem for obc on my next cruise. I want to use them for whatever I want. Spa, drinks etc. But should I have some obc left, is it true that theywill apply the extra money back to my credit card? Is this something that will be done automatically or will I have to stand in line at guest relations the morning of disembarkment to get this done?

I need all the information you all have on this. I want to self embark and don't want to have to worry about this.

Thanks in advance for your help

We had redeemed points for OBC for our cruise in Sept. I discovered that we had not used about $35.00 of that OBC and it was credited back to my CC.

  6. I can't seem to find the thread about the Latitudes issue that I was just reading yesterday, so I'm starting a new one.

I just got off the phone with an NCL rep. Here is the problem: I cruised 4x with NCL (1999, 2001, 2002, and 2003). For some reason I've only been credited with 2001 and 2003. I'm sailing the Breakaway in one week and I've emailed Latitudes 3x in the last 4 weeks, and received no response. I emailed some photos to prove I was on the other two cruises. Here are the lame excuses I received today:

Points are only given if you are 18. (I pointed out I was 17 in 2002 yet still given points.)

You've BEEN credited your 14 points. (I should have 28 points, she didn't seem to understand.)

You are purged from the system in 4-5 years (I guess if you don't cruise in that time?). (I pointed out my mother and grandmother, both of whom I sailed with, have been properly credited, and my mom has not sailed NCL since 2003 as well...why wasn't she purged?)

They changed latitudes a few years ago. (Again, why are my mom and grandmother in the system, properly credited with their points?)

It takes 4-6 weeks (she said up to 90 days!!!! Are you freaking kidding? Hire more people!) to process Latitudes issues. (So what, I'm supposed to cruise at bronze level and miss out on benefits I deserve, and hear a week or month after that OK! Everything's updated! ???).

I should be silver level, which gives benefits I'd ACTUALLY LIKE TO USE. I'm was unsure about trying NCL again after what I've heard (I'm loyal to Royal, husband wanted 'something new'), and now this.

Has anyone had an experience like this? What did you do? The rep I spoke to says Latitudes actually doesn't even have a phone number (number on site links you to reservations). I feel like calling corporate, but will that solve anything? What if I just take it up with Latitudes onboard the ship?

    :mad::mad::mad:

    To Melbourne84:

    First, take a deep breath.

You say that your mother and grandmother received points that you didn't. Therefore, you can look up the reservation number in their cruise profiles.

When we cruised last year and brought our (now adult) son I noticed that his cruise history was missing a cruise that we had all taken in 2000.

I had him email to LatClerical@ncl.com with our reservation number from "his missing cruise" pointing out that the three of us had traveled together. Since I didn't have his old room card or a printed reservation confirmation, they did accept attached pictures of him on the ship. In our case it was SS Norway and we had pictures of him on the upper deck right under the huge NORWAY and a few others inside our cabin that barely showed the ship's stationery.

They updated his cruise history within 2 days.

    Happy cruising to you!

They merged into their Autograph collection.

    Thanks for the link.

We were there before Atlantis existed and loved the old Paradise island Resort.

We go and visit each cruise that we take in that area but don't pay the high guest pass price. Nicer to just walk onto Cabbage Beach, go out to the end and enjoy the day.

  8. Hi Micheal,

We sailed together on the cheap Brilliance cruise last year. My family spent several days in Atlantis a few years ago. It was nice but very expensive to eat and drink and they charge you an arm and a leg in auto gratuities and taxes on top of the room rate. I could have gone on 2 seven day cruises for all 5 of us with the cost after all expenses.

All of the slides and pools close at 5 pm which puts a damper on evening activities for the kids. Customer Service was the poorest I have ever experienced at a resort in several areas. At the time they were in bankruptcy before Marriott bought them and the grounds and fish tanks looked very dirty. The resort was very busy during the day due to the cruise ship day trips. I have no desire to go back to stay.

Why do you think that Marriott bought Atlantis? I have never seen this.

  9. Just off from our Rhapsody cruise where the vouchers were just implemented.

As D+ we could visit either the Diamond or Concierge Lounge or use our vouchers.

Our decision became simple as we really enjoy musical entertainment.

The vouchers worked quite well when we wanted to listen to live music at the pool or the R-Bar (the bar in the Centrum.)

We also visited the Diamond Lounge as the overflow spilled out into the Shall We Dance Lounge and we got to listen to whatever group was playing in that venue.

We did not visit the Concierge Lounge other than to meet the Concierge and make use of the priority tender. The CL did not have access to musical entertainment.

Thanks, RCCL for giving us options to make us feel comfortable and happy!
