  1. How terrible! It appears she did fall on another passenger (according to this article). Luckily the passenger she fell on is ok. https://www.nbcmiami.com/news/national-international/cruise-passenger-dies-after-falling-over-balcony-onto-lower-deck-virgin-voyages-says/3007740/
  2. Thanks for sharing. I hope you future vacations are much better.
  3. I’m sorry to hear that. What happened if you don’t mind sharing?
  4. THIS 👆 is a great idea! Some of us just want a place to keep our towel dry while we hit the pool or hot tub. My guess is other cruise lines will start doing what RCI is doing with the casita/lounger rental at some point. - a lot of resorts do that now. I almost booked a casita on our last NOS cruise but wound up not needing to.
  5. What specifically did you not like about the Razzle Dazzle breakfast and where do you recommend eating breakfast?
  6. I’ll be following along too. We sail on her in about a month. Enjoy your cruise! I was nervous about my first solo cruise as well but wound up meeting so many great people and had a wonderful time. Enjoy doing what you want when you want!
  7. Yes she is! I’ll be on her at the end of next month so keep her safe and happy. ❤️🥂 GREAT pics BTW!
  8. Sorry, not sorry but I LOVE Coco Cay! I really hope NCL ups its game with GSC. They need a dock and a pool like the Oasis pool IMO.
  9. Imma need one of those! April 30th can’t come soon enough!
  10. In situations like this I always make sure to leave the server (we usually have the same one) a generous tip and a Thank You.
  11. Yes. He confirmed that. We are still planning to stay out at the Caribe Hilton. The beach is calling to us! Luckily it is only about a 10 minute drive to the ship. Can't wait to cruise on a brand new ship!
  12. YES! We are on the December 30, 2023 sailing of the Brilliant Lady and I just spoke to our MRS coordinator yesterday. He said the ship will be docked at Pier 4 at the port in Old San Juan.
  13. Which cruise? I have this screenshot I took (I think from the VV website) for the New Years Eve cruise. It shows the times.
  14. You can only compare the Haven with Star Class on Royal Caribbean (RCI). The Grand Suites do not fall under Star Class - they are Sky Class. Sailing in a Grand Suite (Sky Class) is like being in a regular NCL Suite. You get priority boarding, early booking, concierge service (pre-cruise and during your cruise), butler service, and you get to eat breakfast in a specialty restaurant. NCL allows you to eat in a specialty restaurant during sea days. ON RCI that is not offered unless you purchase the unlimited dining package. On RCI you also have access to a suite lounge with cocktail hour and some food selections (finger foods and continental breakfast with coffees in the AM). STAR Class, on the other hand, is another level! I actually think it is better, in some ways, than the Haven. They both have priority boarding and booking, private restaurant, lounge, deck/hot tub area, ect, but with RCI you have a Genie rather than a butler. The Genie will take care of your every need and make sure you get priority seating and access to any show/restaurant, ect. You get escorted on and off the ship (if you want). They will contact you weeks ahead of time to find out your likes/dislikes and they plan special surprises for you onboard. ALSO, with STAR class you get free wifi, beverage package and specialty dining all included. Not so with the Haven. In the Haven you have a butler who brings you snacks daily. They are more like a cabin steward on steroids. Butlers have to take care of more pax than Genies do. I am sure I am forgetting something, but I'd take STAR Class over the Haven any day. I love them both, but that is my opinion.
  15. I am with you on that. The one ship I am interested in is the new Sun Princess, but we shall see. There are so many different protocols with Virgin. I do not like that I cannot purchase excursions, Loot (OBC) or other things in advance. Our App does not work. My guess is because the Brilliant Lady is not finished yet. ?? Not sure.
  16. My email was slightly different from yours. We have not yet cruised with Virgin - booked for New Years 2023. Like you we are trying other cruise lines (from Princess/NCL).
  17. Great info, thank you! Do they charge the Grog walk and walk/paint sip to the Bar Tab or to Loot? Any other Mega Rockstar tips you can provide are MUCH appreciated. This is our first time on Virgin. We usually sail RCCL (RCI) and NCL Haven.
  18. Sorry another question - what about the $25-$35 wine/drink pairings, Grog walk - are those things included too?
  19. Thanks! With that in mind, are we able to share our Bar Tab with friends sailing on the cruise? I can't imagine that we will use up the $600 if our drinks and wines are pretty much included. Thoughts?
  20. We booked a Mega Rockstar suite with the $600 bar tab included. The suite description says that the suite includes a fully stocked bar and a "Daily Bar Tab". Does anyone know which drinks/wines are included with the daily bar tab? Thanks in advance.
