I ask on the roll call for the May 16 cruise about the grass

    this was the answer

The lawn club is still there with all the grass in front of the glass blowing studio and the Alcoves. You can still sit on the grass and watch the big screen etc. Once you pass the glassblowing studio, there is no more grass on the sides as you walk back to the bar.  It’s all furniture and a place to sit.

So glad to hear! Love what Celebrity did on Silhouette, one of our favorite places to hang out and enjoy the view. The lawn areas are nice but too much wasted space with very limited seating unless you are good with getting up from the ground 😂

Raw on 5 does not take reservation before the sailing.  You can make reservations once on board.  We have never seen Raw on 5 even 1/2 full.

We have a dinner reservation at Raw on Five for an upcoming cruise and had one at Sushi on Five in February. Have not experienced Raw yet but agree, never saw Sushi even 1/2 full. image.thumb.jpeg.5772722d7b56286120107df28c5869e3.jpeg

I did finally check it all out. Pretty good deal if your booking is with Celebrity and before final payment. Purchase 13 cards, use to pay for a $6500 cruise and save $650! Too late for me since my Summit cruise is paid up and my remaining cruises are with a TA.

Cannot use for deposit, just to pay for cruise per the fine print on AARP.

Oh!! I so mis-read the fine print! YAY!

I just used several AARP gift cards to pay for our upcoming Equinox cruise (I reluctantly joined AARP for this sole reason, LOL).  It was super easy and saved, pardon the pun, a boatload of money.

Did you use AARP gift card(s) as a deposit payment or as additional/final payment for a cruise that was already booked with a deposit?

  5. Darn! We are in a full suite on this same cruise. Got a call from 661-753-2050 on Friday which is a Princess # but missed the call! Tried to call back to see if the call was the invite but it sounded like a party was going on in the background so guessing I was just routed to a customer service person. Eventually just hung up after being on hold for quite so time. To top it off can’t get into my email right now! Tempted to just show up assuming the call was an invite! What’s the worst thing that can happen, right 😀

We were about to sign up for the three package only to find out that the first of the three is the evening you board the ship.  To have come through the rigours of luggage, flights and transportation, customs/immigration and registration, I would not like to then find myself booked into a specialty restaurant.  So we will take our chance on finding reservation openings that suit the occasion.

We have always been able to change our 1st night reservation to a different night when we boarded. If you book a dining package I would recommend you make all your specialty reservations as soon as you board. Best chance at getting days/times you prefer.

  7. I’ve skimmed through a few threads about photo packages but didn’t really find what I was looking for. We’ve been on 10 or so Celebrity cruises and I don’t ever recall seeing photographers around the ship outside of embarkment day, leaving the ship when in port and before and during dinner. Maybe I haven’t noticed because I’m not looking (typically dislike having my photo taken as I did not get the photogenic gene like the rest of my family 😂) are they out and about other times and if so any tips on finding them? Also have read contradicting info on whether the photos you will receive will only be the ones with the paying passenger included or whether you will receive any with ANY passenger in the cabin.  We have 3 traveling in the same cabin and would be nice to get a couple of individual shots  yes, I’m going to roll the dice that at least a few that include me will turn out half okay 😂

My reservation has been fine for our Jan 2021 cruise, Celebrity Suite on deck 7. Today our reservation is showing a cabin on deck 6. Hope that isn’t true 😩

To add, not that it would be earth shattering to be in a suite on deck 6 (1st world problems) but selected 7 vs 6 for a reason. We shall see. Either way it’s a cruise to great places!

  9. Booked in a CS but watching the price of RS. Got lucky once with a really good resident rate in a RS cabin on S class (the start of our suite addiction and it is true, it is addicting) and the perks are great but room itself is most important to us. Thought I read a post or two indicating CS had some nice features over RS on M class ships. Any insights appreciated!
