  1. Just to provide an update..as I mentioned we didn’t expect an adjustment due to a price drop after final payment..we knew the risk, we wanted the cabin, we are totally happy with the cabin and were willing to pay what we paid. As some have said in previous posts on these boards, we would not expect to be asked to pay more when the price goes up which it often does o why should we expect a refund when it goes down. Celebrity is in business to make money and expectations should be realistic given that fact. Having that said, we are very happy they agreed to give us the 2 extra perks matching the sale offer for perks. Must have looked at our casino trends and decided it was an okay business decision 😂😂😂

Seriously, very happy they were willing to add the extra perks.

  2. Well it finally happened. After many cruises with Celebrity, first time our cabin price dropped significantly after final payment. To add to the sting, we upgraded our cabin on 11/6 then the Veterans Day promo came out 11/7. Price dropped $1300 and added 2 additional perks (we currently have 2). I know they will not honor the price drop and totally get that, I rolled the dice wanting to ensure we got the cabin we wanted but wondering if anyone has had any luck getting Celebrity to add the promo. i.e. giving us the 2 additional perks? We are past a cancel and rebook being worth it 😩 TA is closed today so will have her call tomorrow. Thought some here may have experiences to share.

  3. We purchased Prem + in August for the 3rd person. Two of us had the Premium as a perk. 2 bottles of red wine were in the room when we arrived to the cabin. Requested one be changed to a white, no problem. Minibar was sparse. A few sodas, waters and a couple of beers, no wine or liquor. Possible they would have been added had we asked but with all having a drink package and wine already in the room we were good. Did drink waters and they were replenished. Good value if you don’t have a pkg as a perk in my opinion especially since it is cheaper than the Premium pkg.

Mudit was our butler in August, he prepared a great surprise with chocolates for my husband's birthday, very helpful.

He was our butler as well in August.

Chemmo, if you would be so kind to tells Mudit the tall couple with the wife’s sister on the B2B 8/24 & 8/31 say hello, Same to “D” if he happens to be your room attendant.

Enjoy the the rest of your cruise!

I am curious as to why this is a "bummer". I have never seen this restaurant crowded - it is always almost completely empty, except for some officer's tables and a few scattered passenger tables.

Are there some advantages for you to pre-booking this restaurant in advance?

We were on B2B trip in August and a Sushi on Five was constantly full. Finally made a reservation through our waiter and enjoyed lunch during the 2nd week.

DH swears those are the same tiny round chairs- I think he’s wrong! I agree with you, Ginny.

Does anyone have any pre-pictures to post? We didn’t take any shots of the lounge.

We thought the lounge was very pleasant- the 4 pm snacks were delicious. Bar service was excellent, bar isn’t huge for bar sitters, but most people on our cruise used the banquettes and other tables, so the bar regulars always had a spot.

The seriously tiny chairs were switched out during the 8/24 sailing. Got a shot before they were changed.

I'll start this off by saying that in no way am I picking on Celebrity but because I think the Celebrity board of all the boards I visit is this is the one I respect the most. That plus we were on the Equinox on the 8/31 cruise. Here is what is going on with me and its driving me crazy. I'm 73 and in very good health but in 6 out of the last 8 cruises I have come down with horrible colds after dis-embarking the ship,  this has happened on Princess, RCCL, MSC, HAL and now with Celebrity. In 61 cruises we have never come down with the Norovirus but down through the years I've had more than my share of colds after a cruise, we live in Florida and only get colds after a cruise. Is this going on with anybody else? We are extremely careful when onboard using the hand sanitizers just about every time we pass by one. Is this happening to others? Any tips than you might hep us out with would be gratefully appreciated.

We were on the same cruise and DH has been suffering from a dry cough and cold/flu like symptoms since Sunday night. We have experienced it in the past, I call it “cruise crud”. I have not had any problem and DS has not either this time but will say we were off the ship on excursions a lot more than DH, only thing that seems different. Hum...

My sister/brother in law currently on the Equinox, she said that people are complaining in the Casino that nobody is winning anything.  Has anybody won anything playing slots?

Sister won several times last week on Equinox, one hit being $1300 with a few others in the hundreds. She gives back 😂 but definitely came out ahead.

People who put down towels/books/magazines, etc. on a chaise lounge at 7 am, but don't return around 10 am, let's say.  That's a chair hog! Right?  People who toss "stuff" on 6 to 10 chaise lounges, but only  use one or two waiting for their friends to show up later, that's a chair hog! Right?  But, someone who "reserves" a lounge, and uses it all day, with breaks say, for lunch, a dip in the pool, or a bathroom break, you would not consider them a chair hog, even though they use the lounges all day long.  Agree/Disagree?

    Agree/Agree/Agree.

  10. 5th time on Equinox and I believe the first time I have seen chairs that were “ reserved” with a bottle of sunscreen or a hat being cleared. Someone sitting nearby appeared to have been asked if anyone had been sitting in the chairs ( I haven’t seen them for at least an hour). Off went the sunscreen and the towels. Bravo Celebrity! I’ve been in my chair since 7:00am 😂 It’s a sea day and I wanted to enjoy the Solarium for awhile.

  11. We prefer the RS when traveling with 3 but the price difference between CS and RS is often more than we are willing to pay so CS works well. Not fond of the tub/shower combo but do like the bathroom entry from either the bedroom and the living area. We personally wouldn’t book a CS if just the 2 of us unless it was only slightly higher (almost the same 😀) as a SS. Having that said, perfectly happy in a 1A if SS is higher than we can justify!
