  1. Good idea about booking your Edge as a new sailing. We knew that we were going to cancel the original booking we had made due to some work events changing and we had transferred our reservation to a large TA so if I canceled I would have been out $100 to the agent. We booked the Edge on the day the previews were listed so we got all 4 perks for less than the cruise only price is now and the agent gave us another $150 so we still ended up with plenty of OBC, although I would have been very willing to accept more had we been able to keep the $ we had from booking onboard.

Well darn! We got NO perks when we booked and the per day rate when I add a drink package and grats is way past my normal limit for a balcony room but it's a surprise for my DH (he thinks we are on Infinity for a 5 day which we are a couple of days later 😂). Guess my consolation prize is the cruise after was a crazy deal for Aqua so average of the whole trip is okay.

As I like to say.....Can't take it with me and don't plan on giving it away or leaving it behind!!

  2. Good to know, thanks! Funny, had the same experience moving an onboard to an Edge 3 day preview. Once I figured it out a few days later (no mention by the rep on the phone) I had it changed back to original so I retained the OBC and booked Edge as a new booking. Took a few minutes but new rep totally got it done! Perfect example to use as you advise. Doesn't seem right to take but not give

  3. Would you happen to have pictures of the balcony? I’ve read some of these rooms the balconies are larger and deeper. I’m trying to figure out if mine is the smaller of all the hump balconies.

Sent from my iPhone using Forums

1st and 3rd cabins off the hump are the largest, 9215 and 9209. So 9207 would be next largest. Still very nice size.

  4. We will be a party of 4 adults heading from FLL to POM in January. No checked luggage, just a standard carry on and a personal item (backpack or purse) each. Two of us are 6+ ft tall so not small people :) Fair to assume an X won't do it and if XL is best option should we just consider looking into private scheduled transportation?

    Thanks for any insight/opinions!

  5. Our booking in Aqua class is 453.00 per nt, inc. Bev package and OBC..maybe u need to check out different TA’s..we have been to Hawaii

10 Times, enjoy the sea, golf on each island..we’re retired and have seen all there is to see on each island.. so we drive to the pier, no airport hassles and just RELAX.

We are close to that for an 1A! Regardless happy to have a great cabin on this cruise. Big balcony! Thanks to Mary Lou for the heads up. Can't seem to get Celebrity to get me on the Capt Club email list. Hawaii is on my bucket list but would never get DH on a plane for that long.

Is this a decent time of year to cruise to Hawaii? Sure this will be our only trip there so hoping for the best. And yes, it realize weather is always a gamble but anyone have any thoughts on whether this would be a good first and only to Hawaii?

  6. I received an email today that we can get 20% off a beverage package by pre-booking.

We have the classic package already.

Does anyone know if we can get that 20% off the upgrade ($10/day + $1.80 gratuity) to Premium by pre-booking on this sale?

You cannot. I called last time my cruise was offering 20% and the answer was you cannot combine promos. Having the Classic pkg was a promo so couldn't apply the 20% promo to upgrade.

  7. The flyer was only for on-board bookings through September 5th; were you looking at the on-land website over the weekend? At that time the on-land "Summer Savings Event" offer was the 1-perk Big which has now been replaced by the 2-perks Better "The World is Open" offer. For the 2 cruises that I have been tracking, the prices increased by $150 pp since they eliminated the supposed $150 savings discount of the "Summer Savings Event" when they added the 2nd perk with the "The World is Open."

Yes, on-land website. I was looking to add all 4 perks so when I compare now doing just 2 perks and adding the cost of the other 2 it's about $35 cheaper so may just roll the dice and book onboard with the 2 perks (assuming it's still 2 in October) and takes advantage on the OBC offer.

  8. Not correct, the perks offered are the same whether onboard or on land. We booked when aboard Reflection last month, one for early 2018 which had 2 perks the other for Dec. 2018 had only 1 perk. The advantage is always the same lower deposit and bonus obc, that's very unlikely too change.

Hum..the flyer sure leads you to believe 2 perks for Aqua. I was looking at an Aqua over the weekend and it was only one. Of course now it's 2 but more expensive. Guess it's in the fine print 😢

  9. Anyone cruising today happen to know the offer? Trying to decide whether to book a 2018 now or wait until we board in October. Last flyer I saw ended yesterday so wondered if there was a change today. Thinking the price may go up before then so calculating the gamble.

Thanks in advance for any insight!
