  1. This is an inaccurate statement. I have been been told several times that if you have Club Orange, you should get a different menu if dining in the MDR which includes the additional selection.
  2. How was your weather in May? We are booked for 3 weeks this coming May. I know the weather varies greatly, but I am just curious.
  3. Does anyone know if you can book multiple rooms on a private fare?
  4. I was just pricing a one week Alaska cruise using the new offer of up to 30% off, with a free upgrade, etc. You have to choose the Have it all package in order to qualify for the upgrade. Now for the funny part. When I select the outside cabin with a free upgrade (which is probably an obstructed veranda) and the HIA package, it gives me a price that is about $100 higher than if I select a standard veranda cabin (not obstructed) and the HIA package. Where is the bargain here?
  5. We booked an excursion for our upcoming cruise, and it automatically applied the credit when we checked out.
  6. Like many have said, the Black Friday "deals" don't seem to be too great. When I look through the available cruises that say up to 40% off, the majority of them only show about $100 off right on the search page. This equates to maybe 5% on several of them.
  7. We have a cruise coming up in May and I still can't reserve specialty dining. Is there a set time? Does your trip need to be paid in full before reserving? I have made other purchases and reservations, I just can't access the dining.
  8. This isn't really any better than most the decent offers throughout the year, unless you are going for 51 days or more and staying in a suite.
  9. I agree. It doesn't make sense that you can have 15 - $11 drinks each day with the Signature package, but you can't have a flavored sparkling water out of the freestyle machine.
  10. You will not regret it if you choose Alaska. We liked it so much in 2017 that we returned on a different itinerary in 2019. It is also very inexpensive to travel to the starting location of Seattle or Vancouver BC.
  11. Does your cruise have to be paid in full to reserve specialty dining?
  12. I don't know if this is the case, because I haven't tried to purchase any gift cards yet. Many times that I have prefilled information, I have had to backspace and retype the last character in each data field for it to be accepted. It might be worth a try.
  13. My mother-in-law cruised with us a few years ago. I took care of all the planning, payments, etc. We had two staterooms. Since then, she has received multiple free cruise offers by email (My email, her name and #). I haven't received any. It has nothing to do with the casino, because we all played a few slots and nothing else. It has been frustrating. I have called and messaged HAL to find out why, but nobody can answer.
  14. Thank you for the information. Based on the responses, I can see us choosing MDR or CO at dinner time based on where we are traveling on a given day.
  15. Does anyone have pictures of the Club Orange room on the Rotterdam? Are there any windows? From what I have seen, it doesn't appear that there are any. I enjoy gazing out the window while enjoying a meal on a ship.
  16. The drink package also includes coffees, sodas, bottled water, sparkling water, juices, smoothies, ...
  17. Thank you. I did not realize that it has always been excluded. I enjoy the flavored carbonated sparkling waters from these machines.
  18. I pondered putting a question at the end of my post, but seeing how the first sentence is a question, I decided against further questions. Thanks for your response?
  19. So, can you order the Club Orange additional selection if you dine in the main dining room versus CO on Pinnacle class ships?
  20. Has anyone noticed the beverage package flyer that Roger Jett has linked? It says it is the 2023 package information. Here is the info listed for the Signature package: Signature Beverage Packages (SBP) - select from a variety of wine, beer, spirits, cocktails (including non-alcoholic), sodas, bottled water (sparkling 330ml or still 500ml) & coffee! Includes any beverage priced at $11.00 or lower (up to 15 beverages per day). Prices are per day at $44.95 if pre-booked online compared to $54.95 if purchased on board. A 18% service charge will be automatically applied to your purchase. Excludes Mini Bar, Honor Bar, Chocolate Seduction, In-Room Dining, beverages on Half Moon Cay, Freestyle Coca-Cola and any selfservice draft beer. Of special interest is the fact that it excludes the Coca Cola Freestyle machines. The paragraph for the Elite package specifically includes these machines: Elite Signature Beverage Package - same as SBP except: Only on the ms Koningsdam & ms Nieuw Statendam & Ms Rotterdam, the package includes Freestyle Coca-Cola which provides 100+ refreshing Coca-Cola flavors to choose from. Includes any beverage priced at $15.00 or lower (up to 15 beverages per day). Prices are per day at $49.95 if pre-booked online compared to $59.95 if purchased on board. I find these both weird and bothersome, seeing as how we have a 21 day cruise booked next year which includes the Signature package.
