We recently enjoyed our MLife benefits in Vegas (Bellagio) and on Allure OTS. In Vegas, at Gold, you should get a room upgrade--inquire on check-in. The head of the line privilege is nice for buffets. On the ship, go see the casino manager for comp drink tickets and a specialty dinner. NOTE re: spouses -- if you link your MLife accounts in Vegas, all gambling, restaurant, etc. points earned by either go toward the overall account balance. But if your accounts are unlinked while on Royal, you are two different players to them, and thus each gets drink coupons, a specialty restaurant dinner, etc.
Have fun!
Do you know if they will continue this program in 2014?

I will be using Capt Bob on my next cruise, just wondering if anyone has taken his boat tour recently?

Not close enough to pack.

We are about to take our 16th cruise on RCCL. We love the ships, the new ones Oasis and Allure are amazing. It seems like they would be crowded with that many people but actually feel small. It is worth it to gain some status with a line. We are Diamond with RCCL and they really make it easy for us.
I also prefer RCCL!

At home piggy bank that we all put money into it.

Perhaps we were on at the same time. I have good memories of that ship and Jamaica. We hired a guide who kept saying that his wife had saved him from the "demon rum".
Demon rum! I have heard many people say that!

I used to think I was really cheap. That I was a horrible tipper even though I tipped extra. Then I started reading these boards. Now I feel better. I always tip the suggested and then more on the top. I usually tip the waiter $100 extra, the room steward $100 and the assistant water $75. These 3 people make the difference to me about my cruise experience. It's not that much in the scheme of things and I'd always felt it worth it. There has only been 1 cruise where I didn't tip my room steward extra.
Really!

I agree with the above. Quiet location, less ship movement, great views, and if you're in an area with a lot of suites you will likely get a more experienced stateroom attendant.
EDIT: ...I'll go ahead and post the pic yet again :) If you can snag 1400 or 1700 on a Freedom Class Ship, this is your morning coffee view...
Wow, Great Picture!!!

What is classed as horrible service to one person might be okay to another person and what is classed as excellent service to one person might be average to another.
Tip's should be based upon the how the tipper rates the service and what he deems to the service to be worth.
Agreed!

It is your money, you are free to give it away in any way you feel!

Working as a deckhand in the 70's on the Starward, I remember well stopping at Port Antonio and Ocho Rios in Jamaica. Was a completely different time, no dock in Ocho Rios had to tender a boat to get over. The ship stayed the whole night in Ocho Rios.

Something people should know, trip advisor has a bunch of fraud reviews. It should just be one area to check out but please review in other places.
