  1. For our upcoming 7 night cruise on WOS , a basic soda package is 8.99 a day it will be about 75.00  total. In my opinion this price is a little steep. We normally just drink the free beverages when we cruise but this will be our 1st 7nt cruise and i dont know if I can just drink free lemonade and tea everyday for 7 days. I thought about maybe just buying sodas when needed but sodas on the ship are like 4$ a can..... will it be cheaper to just buy the drink package? is the basic soda package worth the cost?

  2. So I booked another cruise for next year leaving out of Port canaveral. We normally drive to Florida and it is about a 11 hour drive from our city. We are considering flying this time because the drive is just too tiring. This would be our first time flying to Orlando so if we fly into Orlando what are the options for transportation  from Orlando to the port? If we did uber or lyft what should we expect for cost for a family of four? Any suggestions for flying to the port?

  3. I just got off independence of the seas, it was forecasted to rain and storm everyday, but it didn't rain one drop, it was 80 degrees and sunny. It has rained every cruise I've been on in the Bahamas but this time the weather forecast was wrong! So OP don't worry about the weather too much

  4. I just wanted to vent this morning......My 3 nt cruise is set to leave this week and when I checked the Bahamas weather it is forecasted to rain the entire time. The crazy thing is it is forecasted to be beautiful and sunny all the way up till my cruise and then it rains for like 5 days straight..... This is the 5th bahamas cruise I've been on and it never fails that it rains most of the time. This is the 5th time I've been to perfect day at cococay and couldn't enjoy it because we were rained out..... I know that forecasts may not be completely accurate, and I know that some will say why complain, it's still a cruise bad weather or not, but I would like to go at least once and experience sunny weather....

  5. I'm getting ready to purchase our voom internet packages for our upcoming cruise. It  will be 4 of us but we are in 2 separate staterooms. It seems cheaper for one person to buy 4 devices than for each person to buy a individual package. Has anyone did it this way instead of individual purchases for voom?

  6. I booked a 3 nt on the independence sailing in November, I booked a interior room to accommodate my spouse and I and our teen son. I got on the website and I seen a more spacious promenade interior and a panoramic Oceanview  available but it was  for 4 people, but when trying to book for 3 it wouldn't let me so I called royal to ask why I couldn't upgrade to the other room since they both accommodate 3 or 4 people, the rep stated that the system would not let them upgrade me because the room is for 4 people. This really doesn't make any sense to me, I dont understand what is the difference between a room that holds 3 in comparison to a room that holds 4 and if a customer is willing to pay the upgrade fee for a bigger room I don't understand why this is not allowed. Should I just wait to see if I get a royal up offer and then try to upgrade?

  7. I have mixed feelings about this new protocol. I'm glad that we no longer have to do pre cruise testing because it was nerve wrecking however, I am a little concerned about them now accepting home administered covid test because there will be people who will provide false negatives because didn't administer the test correctly and there will be those people that will either purposely submit a false negative or knowingly be sick but still cruise.

I understand we must get back to the way things were before covid but I think covid cases will soar on cruises now due to this change.... not trying to be negative but all of us with a cruise scheduled in the future should probably accept the fact that we will probably all get off the ship with covid.

  8. We are taking a 3 nt free cruise from casino royale, but there are limited dates from only October to December. Because of our schedules the only dates that might work is the day after Thanksgiving. Are Thanksgiving cruises extremely crowded? This would be the first time we did a cruise on a holiday, is this a bad idea?

  9. One of the cruise ports that my cruise will be visiting is St. Thomas, I am interesting in booking a shore excursion for Magens Bay through Royal Caribbean. I know it will probably be cheaper to book through a third party vendor, but I have also heard that if you book an excursion outside of Royal caribbean and something happens and you are late getting back to the ship, RC will not wait for you, so it is riskier, I have also heard that if you book through the cruise line and something happens they will either wait for you or make arrangements for you to get back to the ship. We have never booked a shore excursion before so I  am not sure how this works.

  10. I would like to send my parents on a mini vacation and I'm thinking about a three night carnival cruise to the Bahamas. The problem is there schedules will not allow me to book a certain sailing date, so I thought it would he easier to just purchase a carnival gift card and they can redeem when they get ready but my question is prices change daily so what would be a good amount to put on a gift card to cover their cruise for a 3 night with preferably a balcony stateroom leaving out of Port canaveral going to the Bahamas?

  11. Im confused, Ive been arguing with RC because I have a FCC from my last cruise and I asked them could I apply it to my May 2023 cruise and I was told by two representatives that I could not that all FCC's have to be used for cruises with a sail date before 12/31/22. I even sent a email to guest relations and never received a reply

  12. I know this is a silly question but have anyone ever packed a portable carbon monoxide detector for your cruise?  A friend of mine who is a travel agent told me many people are asking about the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning In light of the US citizens that died from carbon monoxide poisoning at the sandals resort. Until now this is something that I have never thought about when I cruise. I don't know how ships are designed when it comes to toxic fumes,  but do you all think this is something I should consider?

  13. We are booked on Wonder of the seas next summer, we want to pre-purchase our drink and internet packages but when I checked the prices they are very high. It seems when RC has cruise planner sales, it never fails that  I always miss out on them, I notice some cruisers on here post when there are cruise planner  sales, is there a group on here that I can join to keep track of sales or does anyone know approximately when RC will start cruise planner sales?

  14. We just got off the Independence and we went to the casino and we met many people there that stated they were on the cruise for free because they earned a free cruise through club royale, we registered our seapass cards while we played in the casino but how does this work? I tried to register for club royale on royal caribbean website but there is no option to register. How does club royale keep track of our points and will they send us promotions? Please explain.

  15. We just sailed independence of the seas and we had a great time, the only  negative is I'm not sure if we had rough seas but the ship was moving a lot, it had gotten so bad people were holding on to rails as they walked and the captain even announced they were canceling some of the ice shows because of the boat movement. We decided to go on wonder next year and I'm curious to know do you feel movements as much on the oasis class vs the smaller ships? And has anyone sailed the wonder yet? If so what are your thoughts?

  16.  I think when you get injured on a royal caribbean ship they offer medical treatment to you at no charge, I was injured on the abyss slide on the Symphony a few years ago, the mat that you slide down the slide on mine flipped to the side and I slid down 10 stories on my arm. My arm was severly burned and I still have the scar. I was sent to the medical facilities and they gave me treatment and antibiotics and dressed my wound and made me come back the next day to check my wound for infection, Afterwards, I received a call from guest services asking me was I okay and I would not be charged for my care and they also offered me a cruise credit. Unless you sustain horrific injury or death on a cruise, Ive heard it is hard to sucessfully win a lawsuit against a cruise line. Thats the reason I always buy travel insurance because you just never know what could happen.

  17. My cruise on independence  is showing sold out the last week of April, this will be our 1st  cruise back  since covid, I was thrilled that the ships were at reduced capacity but it seems RC has raised their capacities here lately. I am a little nervous rather or not the cruise is sold out due to reduced capacity or if it is 100% full. I know during spring break the ships were full but during my cruise dates spring breaks should be over and kids should be back in school. How can I found out independence of the seas capacity limits?

  18. We just booked a short 3 night cruise on the indy, we picked a  interior royal promenade stateroom with a window overlooking the promenade. I know there is nothing like a balcony room but we just wanted to book the least expensive right now. For those that have stayed in interior rooms Are these rooms decent? I don't want to fill like I'm staying in a box or closed in space.
