I do believe on some floors some of those Magic Carpet cabins DO have interior connecting doors. If you pull up the floor plans, it’s clear some do, some don’t. The video posted a few responses up in this thread confirms it.
Hi
having stayed in one of the end cabins in the MC the was no connecting door between the cabin next door. The set up is the same as an aft corner suite on the S class. The deck plans show connecting but that is only due to the hallway.
There is a door into the hallway and then each cabin has a separate door to enter the cabin. Each time we have been in these cabins the out door is left open so that there is no need to use your card other than to enter your cabin.I suppose if a family were using both cabins the hallway door could be kept locked and the other cabin have their door kept open.
Hope this helps -
Hi Norway Lady
looking forward to your review I see that you are using Welcome Taxis, we used them in Istanbul last October. They were terrific.

Happy to! All packed. Fort Lauderdale is 79 today. DH says weather looks good once we get across, but that can change. He's done a number of crossings with 30 years in the Navy and thinks weather this time of year should be okay. When do you depart, and where to?
We have a 7 night cruise 01 March 25 and then the TA calling at Bermuda, the Azores Cadiz Valencia and ending in Barcelona. We love sea days and have done a TA the other way a few years ago in November. Luckily we have the same cabin 😎👍

Love "my head is exploding" 😆. Mine too, packing for the Ascent TA next Sunday. More challenging being our first TA. Good luck!
We are sailing on the Apex on a B2B, the 2nd leg is a TA. Be great if you can let me know what the weather was like. Thanks in anticipation.

X is our primary line also. I saw people smoking at the slot machines on both sides of the casino, did not notice the smell but grew up in a smoking household. No smoking at the tables. One problem with casino is no bar near and waitstaff were few and waiting for your drink could be some time.
Thank you for your reply, this is a deal breaker for us. We will cancel and change our booking to the sailing March 1st on the Apex. We were going to try the new suite concept.

@duck65 hi great review we normally sail on X but noticed on another post that the casino smelt of smoke. Do they allow smoking in the casino
or anywhere inside.
thanks

I'm on that Apex TA sailing as well. Have done the TA on Edge which we loved!
Looking forward to the sea days we have a MC sky suite with the window looking aft

We are sailing on the Apex TA in March 25 and were looking to do the previous sailing for a B2B. Then cam across the Sun sailing for March 1st.
It is, for us, a better itinerary and also £2000 less expensive than a SS.Although their similar TA is priced at £1700 more than a SS on the Apex.
But the Apex is visiting Bermuda which we have not visited before.

Thank you all for the input. I think we will stay with our current cabin choice as Aqua cabin available now is fore and under all the activities above.
Hi
if 1552 1554 are available think about these, they both have huge balconies facing aft no wind issues. They are also close to the hidden staircase going upto the spa. Please do not tell anyone, the window washing ladder is not a problem.
if I can get 1552 or the cabin on the port side I will grab it in a heartbeat.
IMO better than the hump cabins.- 1

Which Apex TA are you doing next year?
The 08 March 25 sailing from Ft Lauderdale to Barcelona, it is visiting Bermuda which we really want to see
were originally going to do a B2B sailing on 01 March but have decided to try the Sun Princess. This will be our first non Celebrity cruise (save for a few on Azamara and RCCL )

Celebrity vs Princess
in Celebrity Cruises
Posted · Edited by swigso
Celebrity’s smoking policy means that it is a no brainer for us. Princess allow smoking in the casino, we had a top level suite booked on the new Sun Princess but cancelled due the smoking policy once we found out. Princess told us there was no smoking allowed in the casino not true.
WHEN we go to any restaurant now, there is no smoking allowed, why do cruise lines allow smoking at any indoor venue. Sorry for the rant but that issue is really important to us.
