Genuine question, not being snarky, what is the position of asking for self disembarkation (7.30_8.00ish) but actually getting off the ship at say 9 and just walking off? Would anyone actually stop you/ care?

I don't come on "here" as much as I used to, so just catching up with everything......goodness a lot has been going on, both good, bad and utterly dreadful! Anyway wishing everyone a Happy Christmas 🎄 and hope next year everyone's dreams and wishes come true. Love to you all ❤️

Just to butt in........lol Is there anything to do at the top? Or is it best to get the next train back down appropriately 10mins after arrival? Is it worth waiting for the train after? Does the ticket allow you to do this or are you restricted by times.?Definitely won't be cycling back down!!!!Sort of planning my trip there in May.TIA. 😊

ARE THE CRUISE GODS TRYING TO TELL ME SOMETHING???? Well that's the 3rd cruise cancelled in a row! Not all P&0 No.1 Father in law suffered severe illness. No.2 I required small emergency operation. No.3 Recent middle east events. I'll get my coat!! And retire the suitcase☹️

Just catching up after holiday and full week at work again ( comes VERY hard after nearly a year off) but still jabbing those that want it! Wishing you *all better * for those that were/are ill and no words can do justice to the dreadful news for some of our little community, very sad. But every now and then, you get a really good piece of news from someone and you realise it's not all doom and gloom. Life is full of highs and lows....... we just hope we get more highs.......

I enquired about something similar ( only different place) and MSC told me to contact embassy as things can change so much, that they didn't want to give me out of date information and the difficulties that could lead to.

@Ryan82 @CruisingFox27did you/are you getting a single or multiple tourist entry visa? I'm confused as different people are telling me different things. Cruise line say contact embassy. Awaiting response from Embassy. Others say single visa.

Oh just a local boat trip out to ras Mohammed /White island.viator £30,cruise line£90 for apparently the same thing . I'm not sure if I NEEDED to book or just turn up and if they went from the same area?

Hi If possible please, need address of cruise terminal/port. Have Googled but it seems to suggest 2 ports so now confused as I thought it was only one.🤔 Will be on MSC Orchestra in January if this is needed .

I think they had a bit of a glitch as I couldn't see all the excursions but can today!!! Lol

Well, I went ahead and booked it!!! @Ryan82my flights are with Easy jet🙄but it is what it is. @CruisingFox27 I think the difference between the two Petra excursions, one is lunch in restaurant and other picnic lunch. I have booked Petra ex.but only getting a few trips to Cairo/ other locations but not pyramids. I think they might have sold out already 🤨. I wonder if there's a wait list and how do we access that?!

@CruisingFox27 Perhaps @Ryan82could help you with that particular question. Essentially I feel the same way about the distance and costs involved, probably never get to go again at my age 🙃

With such distances involved,I'm reluctant to do DIY! Cruise line excursions seem safer.
