  1. well with four weeks on the ship that will give you a lot of time to see the show CATS. Enjoy some of the specialty restaurants too
  2. Interesting because I have taken two RCI cruises this year and I never saw any crew members not wearing their masks correctly except one dude out on deck storing chairs at the end of the day be no one was near him.
  3. I love going out of Boston and sailed on a great 2 week cruise to New England and Canada even doing Newfoundland. The ship was the NCL Dawn in 2012. I have sailed on Summit out of Bayonne in 2016. Next year I get to now do the Summit out of Boston. sure wish soon another ship from Celebrity besides the Summit would sail out of Bayonne. toodles
  4. oh nice to hear. Are you by any chance going on the new ship Rotterdam? And what port will you be sailing from?
  5. most likely a lot of wind. Indy a bit skittish about docking. I was on the Anthem last November and our ship docked but indy arrived an hour before and saw the wind and gave up. If the ship had just hung around for an hour or so the conditions would have improvied.
  6. I did Wonder and I went to the 4th deck to a room called the Attic. Did this also on Symphony and will do on Allure this coming weekend. It is easier and a bit faster than the app as they have folks seated at tables to help and can do reservations for all the nights in 3 minutes or less. Then the review with you But, there are standby lines too (which they were not doing back in the fall)
  7. I was surprised the ship spend most of Saturday off the coast of Fla. Why were they delayed a full 24 hours. Could the ship not of docked around noon or 1pm to let you off and then load up again and just sail say 7pm?
  8. yes but you most certainly were quick to get involved as it must have bothered you too much. Ya could have provided a nice answer and then added it was best to post on another forum. let the mods handle things like this.
  9. ha I GET IT. And you list could be so much longer. But for me the movies on the ship if they are free and one that I have not seen, then I will participate. And when there is a large crowd, that makes it even more fun.
  10. NAAT is a form of PCR but not the one that goes to the lab. I think for unvaxxed and especially kids, it is the one that goes to the lab that is needed. At least that has been the thinking for a while now but heck things change so much. I would re read CCL rules and or call to ask. I think the kids can do the 72 hr PCR lab test.
  11. you know what is odd, Symphony of the Seas was about 10 miles off the coast since early Saturday morning and never tried to get in all day. For some reason it is being held for 24 hours. All the other ships got in and wondering shy SOS did not go in even at noon to depart passengers and take on the new ones and sail later say around 7pm.
  12. nope sorry. I do not agree and I see this got moved. the OP could have been taking a cruise on Celebrity out of Seattle. I often see questions about hotels on other cruise line threads and no one but the mod would interfer.
  13. I was on Symphony that ended on May 7th and Captain Rick was still the Captain. I think I heard he had one more week. So the other captain could not have started as noted in April
  14. oh dear I know on my RCI I redid the uploading of my vaccine card. How about trying it on the computer instead to see if a prompt of some kind come up to deleted or make changes. I would call and get the techie department not reservations. Good luck.
  15. the app. if you did the questionaire on the computer, now try to go to the app and make changes. I find the app pretty good
  16. it is okay to ask here. Do not let others shoo you away since cruises to Alaska leave from Seattle. BTW sometimes the other forums are not so active. Anyways, Downtown area and near the Port where NCL goes out of is good. Go onto some websites and look for reviews and select something that sounds interesting.
  17. Is there a prompt to update the questionaire or make changes. I know RCI has it as I have made changes
  18. ha ha that is why I opened this thread to read as I was confused. Also I feel they staff is so busy that I would not want to ask for them to go get food from another restaurant unless the kitchen was close by. I have heard Blu is excellent so on my Equinox this November I will eat off the menu they have.
  19. good luck with the winds as the storm won't really ease up until mid morning just a bit. It would be the wind that would be a problem. Sorry you have this type of ending considering your frantic pre cruise issues.
  20. I thought some ships would do that, but I also see the worse of the storm is overnight into 9am. So it should be interesting how the wind situation will be in docking.
  21. well I would hope via email or text. But really since it is not a hurricane, you might just have an or so delay. The issues are going to be more interesting for folks flying in later tonight or tomorrow morning. If you are already in the area, it is just whatever delay the ship might have due to docking and or traffic jams or hard driving rain and the dockworkers dealing with luggage etc. Best of luck. I have a trip next Saturday so I am glad I am not sailing tomorrow. Still feel for those that are sailing.
  22. well the NCL Escape cancel on a weekly basis and that ship ended up taking a bit longer that expected. It is all a guess right now. Hope folks on 6/6 cruise can find another ship to sail on
  23. When I was on the Vista in 2018, I was surprised how many folks sit and watch the movies. Seems the setup and popcorn and the selection of movies are good on CCL. A lot of other cruise lines do not seem to get as many folks willing to sit out and watch a movie but each night on Vista was a good turn out. But I also enjoyed the IMAX theatre too.
  24. too bad all these storms can't hang over southern Cal and Arizona as well as Colorado. They really need the rain bad and oh Nevada too.
